Today we will be featuring November’s Stamp of the Month (SOTM), which is called “Illuminate”.  Oh, the possibilities! J

This set is beautiful, and I can’t wait to see how my fellow consultants use this stamp set!!!  J

AS much as I liked this stamp set just as it is…when I started creating - I wanted to use this stamp set in a “non-normal” way.   Fun-  FUN!!! 

 

So, on went my thinking cap…and out came this card!!!

I love the Frosted paper pack and the colors in this kit…so that was my go to paper.  I had a lot of fun deciding which lantern to use to create my flower…and decided to go with the lantern above. 

Here is a picture of a couple of the other lanterns included in this stamp set…stamped in similar fashion. 

When I first stamp with a brand new stamp set…this is what I do!! 

Stamp, stamp and stamp some more and use the entire stamp set randomly throughout the page!  I am AMAZED at how often a new way to use the stamp set comes into my mind!! 

Anyone else’s scrap paper look like this when you “play” with a new stamp set??? J Isn’t it amazing how different they look, and what other ideas come to mind as you see the stamps stamped in this pinwheel fashion?




After coloring in my “flower” (lanterns) with our wonderful alcohol markers, I decided to cut out a dimensional flower to create a more real like flower. 






Of course, adding some almond glitz glitter gel, glitter paper and a brown & tan sparkle, added an extra touch of sparkle to this winter flower card!!  One of my favorite twines, comes in our Wooden Mini-Medley collection…I LOVE this hemp baker’s twine!!!

The “Winter Wishes” wording comes from a favorite winter stamp set of mine - To You & Yours.  Here is a picture of this festive stamp set! 







I hope this card idea has inspired you and challenged you to look at your stamp set in a different way!! J

Artbooking Made Easy- Everyday Layouts

I LOVE these new "Artbooking Made Easy" videos!!

This video is a GREAT way to learn more about our FABULOUS Artbooking Cricut cartridge!!  

Monica shares with us how you can use the mini album pages and add them to your 12x12 pages by using that amazing "Real Dial Size" button on your Cricut machine!!!

You probably didn't expect the shapes on this page to come from a non-birthday themed key. The Travel mini album keys, found on pages 38 and 39 of the booklet, gave us the great arrow ribbon tails you see behind the journaling spot. Cut in both Crystal Blue and Honey, the shapes overlap nicely.

The balloon shapes were made by some creative stamping. These stamps aren’t balloons at all, but decorative circles that come from the Perfect Fit–Halloween stamp set (B1413) and Perfect Fit–Birthday stamp set (B1417). The tails that complete the circles to form the balloon shape are cuts from one of the Inspiration mini album keys on page 44. The artist who created this piece attached each tail with adhesive and wrapped them with colorful baker’s twine to give each ballon a string. She finished the cluster with another bow of baker’s twine.

On this “Smitten” layout, many pieces came from the Together layout keys on pages 60 and 61, meant for celebrating relationships. The keys are wonderful for layouts of a more romantic nature, but they are fitting on layouts celebrating so many other types of relationships. Here they highlight love for a pet; I can see them adorning a layout devoted to siblings, friendships, or hobbies. 

Notice the “together” letters on the left page. These are actually the negative space cut from the “together” title found on page 60 of the booklet. Bunched together in a fun fashion and popped with 3-D foam tape, they look wonderful!

One of my favorite shapes on this layout is the trendy rosette shape that comes from page 60 of the booklet. Cut at varying sizes using the real dial size control, they are wonderful additions to this layout, don’t you think?

Like Monica encouraged, think outside the theme! Your creativity can take over the most ordinary of days and turn out splendid new layouts. You are going to love coming up with your own eclectic creations with this cartridge.

I’m excited to share with you today a card I created using NEW PRODUCTS from this wonderful holiday booklet!!

For my card today, I choose to use the card design from our Make It From Your Heart, vol 2 how-to book…and used Pattern 27. 

Take a look at the FUN ornaments!!!

The Trim the Tree stamp set is an A-size stamp set - meaning it’s ONLY $6.95. 

What else makes this stamp set special?  It’s compatible with our Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge!!  Wahoo - it cuts out the shapes for me!!

AND….did you see the bitty sparkles that surround the ornaments?? 

Yes, we have NEW Holiday Sparkle shapes that coordinate with this stamp set!!! These shapes fit PERFECTLY over top of your stamped images from this stamp set!!

How did I make the ornaments “string”…I cut my RED Shimmer Tape into skinny pieces and adhered them behind the ornaments!

Did you notice the red chevron “ribbon”…actually this is one of our 6 NEW patterns of washi tape!! 

This Sparkle & Shine washi tape, comes in a set with 2 other washi’s for a total of 3 tapes…and for just $14.95!!  Something to take note…the “gray” washi - is ACTUALLY a SILVER washi…it has a shine to it!!  LOVE this tape!!!
