Mother's Day is approaching in just a few more months!  The "Tea-rrific" stamp set is the perfect stamp for that occasion, PLUS - you'll be able to create many other creations with the rest of these images too!

Here is this months, Stamp of the Month stamp set....

While Valentine's Day may be the first idea that pops into your mind...don't stop there! :)  Birthdays, Wedding, Anniversary, and Thank you occasions also come to mind.

Here is the card I created using this month's stamp of the month....

I wanted to create a simple card, one that didn't need to be "colored in" per say...and I was happy with the result. It was my watercolor paints to the rescue!

I first pulled out my Watercolor paper...this paper is so much easier to work with when using paints....and made the white paper wet.  Then I painted! :)

When I liked the color I had, I got out my heat tool to make the drying process go a bit quicker.  Once it was dry, I pulled out my Memento black ink, and stamped the words first....and that allowed me to see exactly how much room I had for my tea cups.

I contemplated coloring in the teacups, but then decided to keep it nice and simple.  After using the black ink, I liked the sharp contrast and decided I needed a patterned black to complete the card.

I pulled out my favorite paper pack, at the moment,  "Dreamin' Big" and adored this piece of paper!  I then used Canary CS to mount the tea cups.

Here's a look at the BEAUTIFUL papers that come in the "Dreamin' Big" collection.

....AND the coordinating sequins that we added as a finishing touch...

I also used the AQUA shimmer trim - it matched beautifully....AND, if you look closely, you'll notice I also colored the heart with our CLEAR shimmer brush.  This new tool/embellishment seems to appear on ALL of my creations! :)  It's so fun to use!!

  4. Great job with your watercolored background. I like how you placed the focal panel over black paper--it really makes it "pop". The Aqua Shimmer Trim is really effective too! Thanks for inspiring me today!
