~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Here is today's card, showcasing the Dad is Rad special this month!
This card was taken from our How-To-Book volume 4, pattern #17.  How QUICK & EASY it is to create a card with these books...I ADORE them!
I used the "leftover" papers in the Dad is Rad kit to create this card. (see details about this kit farther down the post ;) )
Let's take a few close up looks at the details of this card...
I wasn't sure what color to create the #1 image, so I stamped one in Crystal Blue & the next one in Sapphire.
As I was trading them back & forth on my card I realized, why not put BOTH colors on! :)  An easy solution & I was happy with the contrast too!
If you look closely, you might be able to see the gold sparkle I gave the #1 with our gold shimmer brush...a fun added touch.
I also was "determined" to create my own paper, and that means stamping a background.
I love those argyles, & decided to just used the stitched design.  I used Toffee ink and stamped on the Almond cardstock.
The burlap ribbon is always a nice, masculine touch.
Did you know that you can cut apart the clear stitching & separate the strands?  That's how I created the fringed edges of the bow.
I felt the "need" to do some inking of the edges of my papers, so we pulled out the Toffee ink to give it that rustic look. :)
So, let's take a look at what' all included in this AMAZINGLY, Fab kit!
