Here we go!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today, I'd like to share all about Generation Stamping.
While this may be an "old" technique...it's one I still use QUITE often! It always amazes me that something SO simple...can have such a dramatic effect!
Take a look at this card, using the ADORABLE Hawthorn Cardmaking Kit stamp set.
The Acorn is stamped with ONLY 2 ink colors...and not 3 colors like it may appear.
I used Saffron ink for the yellow acorn, and Paprika ink for the other two acorns.  I LOVE that our ink pads have multiple shades of the same color "hidden" inside.
So how do we do this Generation Stamping technique???
The HARDEST part when doing this technique IS to REMEMBER to NOT RE-INK your stamp image!!
It seems easy, but that's usually how I "mess up" when I use this technique.
Another thing to note.....(see the photo below)
If you haven't done any Generation Stamping in a while....I hope you'll give it a try!
Here's a look at the supplies I used to create this simple card.
Make sure to contact your CTMH consultant to learn how you can get these BEAUTIFUL fall goodies!  This stamp set and paper are going away on Oct 31, 2019 (or while supplies last)
If you have arrived from Deb's blog you are right on track.
It's October & that means we have our CTMH mini book that will be retiring at the  end of this month!
I ADORE the paper packs inside this book...and the "Hawthorn" collection is an AMAZING set to use during our autumn season here in PA.
Check out these cards...
Saturday, October 5th was World Card Making Day & I was so excited that I actually was able to participate in that day!
I created a couple different cards, and wanted to share these two with you today!
The card on the left...was a card Designed by the CTMH Art Department....here's a closer look.
Did you know that our NEW Cardmaking Workshop kits include an EXCLUSIVE stamp set & Coordinating Thin Cut (metal die)?
Yes...and they are beautiful!!  This card design comes from our Hawthorn Cardmaking Workshop kit.
In this kit, we are taught how to do some "stamp rolling" to achieve that beautiful multi colored grouping of leaves!
The second card is a much simpler card....BUT....
this card uses the SAME paper pieces as the first card did! I just used them in different ways!!
Check it out!!
You'll notice I cut the Charcoal CS in half...and shortened up the Saffron dotted, designer paper too!
I was excited to create a BORDER around the outside card, using the stamp image included in the workshop kit!!
By adding Gold Shimmer Trim & using my Gold Shimmer Brush....I added some sparkle & shine to this second card design.
Make sure to ask your CTMH Consultant what's NEW in our Workshop kits....here is a picture of the Hawthorn Cardmaking Kit...used in this post.
Here's a look at the BEAUTIFUL, Close To My Heart designed cards included in this workshop.
You will create a total of 15 cards...5 each of the 3 designs.
***And REMEMBER...this kit INCLUDES the exclusive stamp set & Thin Cuts too...AND this kit will be leaving us on Oct 31st OR While Supplies Last!!
Happy Crafting & have a LOVELY evening!!!
Masculine Happy Birthday - Emboss Resist
Hello to each and every one!
It is World Card Making Day today...and I had a chance to create a few cards....YAY!! Let's take a look at today's card!
This card happened "by mistake" and I was really excited at the final results of this card!
I was recently creating with Close To My Heart's current, October Stamp of the Month (SOTM) "Autumn Air".
I did some emboss resist with the leaves & fall colors of this stamp set, but didn't like the piece I created for the project I was working on...and laid it on my desk to use in my next creation.
Well, today is that day!  I pulled out those leaves that we emboss resist and created this card here! I used that emboss resist leaves as a strip in the background of this card.
The rustic Wood Shapes, from our Hawthorn collection, were laying on my desk as well ready to be used.
I used our Stitched Circle Thin Cuts, and our gold foil paper to create a mat for the deer head to be placed on.
The splatter on the kraft cardstock, was created by using our watercolor paints
I used our Espresso ink to stamp the "happy birthday".
This stamp came from our FABULOUS stamp set, Hawthorn cardmaking stamp & thin cut bundle
To finish out this card, I wanted to tie in some more of the "gold" that I used.  Our beautiful Gold Shimmer Trim &  White & Gold twine, were the perfect final touches for this card.
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you were INSPIRED today & had a chance to create a card on this 2019 WCMD too!!
Blessings to EACH of you!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Here is this months EXCLUSIVE stamp set, that you can get for ONLY $5 with EVERY $50 CTMH purchase in October 2019.

I LOVE that we have an EXCLUSIVE stamp set available at a DISCOUNT each & every month!!

While it doesn't quite feel like fall, here in eastern PA....I know the fall weather is just around the corner!

Take a look at the card I created with this month's stamp set.

I found today's card design...in one of our past Idea Books (pg. 35 of our 2018 Holiday Expressions catalog) I'm pretty sure this pattern is from one of our Make It From Your Heart how-to books, but I didn't take time to double check that thought. :)

 When I think of fall...I think gold tones...and that led me to do some Heat Embossing of those beautiful leaf images included in this stamp set!

If you click on the photo to see the details...you'll notice the leaf images are heat embossing in gold.  What a FUN way to create a background!

You'll see 3 different patterned paper designs. These papers come from our current "Mix In" papers!  If you haven't heard about our Mix-In or know what they are....please, please ask your CTMH consultant! :)  These papers are BEAUTIFUL & are meant to extend the use of the current paper packs in the Idea Book.  I ADORE the patterns and designs included in our Mix-In paper collection!!

Let's take a look at the top of this card....

You will ADORE the gingham border stamp included in this stamp set! I LOVE it and can't wait to use it in other projects!! I also tied some of our Gold Embellishing Thread around the top of the card for some added texture and shine.

That acorn...that adorable acorn! :)
I stamped the acorn with Espresso ink, and then colored it in with some of our Tri-Blend markers to deepen the brown tones.
