~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Close To My Heart has done it again!!
This new mini Book is FILLED with BEAUTIFUL papers, embellishments & products ---and packed FULL of goodness !  Please don't ask me to choose a favorite item--I don't think I could do it! LOL!!
Summer Vibes is the first paper suite in this mini Idea Book -- and I have been having FUN "changing up" the card designs, in the Summer Vibes Cardmaking Kit
Let's take a look!
 The card on the left, comes from the CTMH designed cards for this kit.  In this particular Cardmaking kit -- you will create 16 cards --- 4 each of 4 designs.
Here's a peek at the CTMH Designed cards for this kit.
I created the Ice Cream Cone card on the left --- JUST like CTMH instructed.  Oh wait -- one change, I used our Tri-Blend Alcohol marker for the coloring in, instead of watercolor paints.
The NEW paper collection used in this kit is called Summer Vibes paper and is a lovely collection of designs! 😊
So now --Let's take a look at the 2nd card---the card I designed (Krista's Crafty).
I used the items that were included in the Cardmaking Workshop kit, plus I added a touch of Glisten Stickles on ice cream.
To create this card ---I used the SAME Exact cut pieces for the first card as the second!  By flipping over the pattern paper, and moving around the other pieces, we come up with a TOTALLy different card!!
Here's a close up look
You may notice that the ice cream on this cone, was NOT colored using the Tri-Blend markers!
It's SO fun to use your stamp set, in a different way!!
So how did I "color in" my cone??
I turned my stamp image over on the block, and inked up the backside!!
Do you see, when it's turned over, how it's a completely SOLID stamp image??
I inked up the top part of the ice cream...and even though the "tip" of the cone, didn't match with the front side, it still worked to stamp it on the cone!!
I inked this up in Smoothie ink, stamped off on scrap paper the first time & then came onto my cone shape and stamped the lighter shade of Smoothie to get the "lighter" ice cream color.
For the cone part -- I pulled out my TOFFEE Shimmer Brush & colored it in.
This stamp set -- is an EXCLUSIVE stamp & can only be found in this Summer Vibes Cardmaking kit!! Here are all of the images in this stamp set.
To finish off the card, I added Stickles (the color Glisten) PLUS I colored my white acrylic heart with my Tri-Blend alcohol markers too!
Now it's time to "Hop" on over to Miss Carrie's Blog to see her beautiful creation!
