We had a FUN Team Meeting earlier this week.  Here is a recent picture of a few members of my team. J 

We had a CTMH Corporate event in New Jersey at the end of April and got a group picture of those that attended.  This is 10 of “my girls” out of my group of 59! J

For our monthly Team Meeting, we talked about our normal business items and I had also asked everyone to bring along their Dotty for You paper packs and some type of Dimensional Elements (D.E.) shapes for our create time. 

We each created a card design using the Dotty for You AND a D.E!!  Then we took the time and created multiplies of our card – so that everyone received a card sample!

The first card in our Dotty for You series that I’ll share with you is by Nickie Hoffer.  Nickie has a great BLOG you will want to check out too!

For her card, Nickie used the yellow & gray diagonal striped design from the Dotty for You paper pack.  She popped up the “hip hip hooray!” saying by placing a D.E shape, from our Mixed Shapes Dimensional Elements, underneath it!

She cut the flowers from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, but then did some great things with her sponge daubers to give the flower a depth look and feel!

Now DETAILS…
I LOVE when any embellishment is just “plain” white.  Why, you ask?  That means I can COLOR it to whatever color I need to coordinate with my creation!!!

Take a look at the Large Green flower and the Gray flowers…yup, you guessed it!  These flowers came from our Petals Paper Flower collection.  I used my wonderful, handy sponge daubers and inked the flowers to be the colors I needed!!!


Notice the Lagoon (turquoise/blue) flowers – they are from our Paradise Paper Flower Collection – already colored for you!!!  I am using these flowers sooo much!!!  With a variety of four colors, Crème Brulee, Smoothie, Lagoon & Sunset, they add a splash of color to any creation!

One of the NEW items I used in this layout was our Sparkle Flourishes!!! Believe it or not – I haven’t used these before!

I chose to cut the flourishes apart J…and then I did add a few more bitty sparkles to create my own flourishes as well!






The Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge (once again) came to my rescue as I added this bracket AND the scalloped border on the left side of the page!

My 1st Blog Challenges!!

Have you ever been a part of any challenges that are scattered throughout Blog land? J

I have been wanting to try so many challenges that I have seen on other consultant's blogs – it looks like so much FUN!!

Well, I was on my friend Gina’s blog yesterday, and loved the black & yellow theme that she was doing!  So it’s all GINA’S fault I started doing challenges! LOL!!  Make sure you check out Gina’s card HERE!

The challenge of the week comes from the “Dynamic Duo Challenge”.  In this challenge, we had to use two colors, black and yellow and we could add neutral colors.  We also had the option to add some dry embossing! J  For anyone that knows me well – dry embossing is one of my FAVORITE techniques!  J


I thought- “I am going to ACCEPT this challenge!!!”  So, here we go! J 


I am actually participating in TWO challenges…
The first challenge was from Dynamic Duo Challenge and I used the colors yellow and black and added some dry embossing….



Since I used the Dotty for You paper pack (get this paper for ONLY $5 until May 31st!!! – check out details below!!!) in the above challenge, I could also enter into The Paper Players challenge because I was using polka dots! J




Here are the cards I created…

I wasn’t sure which card I liked best…yes, they use most of the same products…but are created differently in a few ways.

The first card…

Notice the dry embossed lines on the white card base…I created these by using my embossing stylus and the groove in my paper trimmer.  Easy, quick and FUN!

I used the metal tag from the black mini-medley from Close To My Heart.  

I stamped the word “cute” from the “Play Day” stamp set and stamped flowers in Buttercup ink from the stamp set called “A Garden”. 

I used our Black Baker’s Twine to finish it off.

Here is a close up of my 2nd card…

This card, I quickly put together as my 2nd card…and now I believe I may like this one more than the first! LOL!! Isn’t that how crafting often goes?!?

I dry embossed once again, this time to frame my image.  After embossing, I then swiped the edges in CTMH’s black ink pad.  LOVE our inks!!!! 

I used CTMH’s Paradise Paper flowers & the our Petals Paper Flowers to stack 3 different kinds, and used the button brad (from the black mini-medley) as the center. 

I added some glitz glitter gel to the middle flower to give it some shine. I used the Card Word Puzzle stamps set for the wording.

It was my husband’s suggestion to color in a few things with my Crème Brulee marker…thanks hon! J

May SOTM–Friendship Bouquet

I created another card using this Month’s stamp of the month!! J
I wanted to create a card with these sunflowers, but I wanted to find an EASY way to color in the flower…so this is what I came up with! J


Here is the card…

Any ideas on how I colored in the flowers? 

If you look closely, you’ll see it’s not a “perfect” coloring job.  It looks “shaded”. 


I used Sponge Daubers to color in my flowers!!!


Lightly ink your dauber, and go in small circles to shade in the sunflower image. 




For the leaves….I used the masking technique…


First, I stamped a sunflower on my card where I wanted it…and then masked the leaves.


To mask – stamp the sunflower image on scrap paper – cut it out and then place that image over top of the stamped flower already on your card. 


Next, take the leaf stamp and stamp the leaf where you would like it to be on the sunflower. (you will stamp partly on the scrap sunflower). 


Finally, pull away the cut out sunflower image…and TA DA!!!  You have a sunflower that has leaves growing behind it! J


To color in my leaves…I did something different  J   I turned over my actual clear stamp…inked it up and stamped the solid image it created!!!  It’s FUN to turn over your stamps and see what shape they will ink to be!!!

Love Your Layout–with Studio J!

Would you like to learn how to embellish on your Studio J page with our fabulous My Stickease across BOTH pages, 

making it appear as it is ONE sticker? 

I was taught this technique at a recent class held by CTMH!!!  Here is my layout where I put My Stickease on BOTH sets of my Studio J pages and it looks like ONE sticker!!! 

I LOVE the fact that when I am creating in Studio J, I will NEVER run out of stickers?!  J  

Today, you will learn how to add My Stickease to both sets of pages in this monthly “Love Your Layout” video!!!

I enjoy these videos, as it seems I learn something NEW every time I watch them!!!  I’m amazed at how FAST & EASY it is to create these pages…and each time the finished copies arrive on my doorstep – I am even more amazed at how BEAUTIFUL they are!

The page layout that is shown, is also a NEW layout design…it is a member’s only layout! Yay!!  I love the extra perks of being a member! J
