Autumn Glitter Leaf Card~ 3rd card

Today I will be sharing with you the details for the 3rd card, created with our Huntington paper pack!!

Come on in, and let’s take a closer look at our 3rd Autumn card! 

This card pattern came from our Wishes how-to book.  It is called the “Gallery” pattern.  I LOVE using our How-To books!!  Using them takes away the extra time it takes to come up with the card design!

I wanted to have some “texture” added to this card - so to do that, I sanded the edges of my papers.  I LOVE that with ALL Close To My Heart paper is “white cored” paper.  That means that our paper has a white middle!!

You can use the paper just like it is (without exposing the white core) OR make that white shine through by sanding it, edge distressing it or a variety of other ways!

I then used the Sarita Textiles to tie a ribbon on this card.

I love the Goldrush colored fabric that comes in this pack!!

  To carry over the distressed look of the card, I frayed the edges of my Sarita fabric.

Next, I cut out this BEAUTIFUL leaf with the new Artbooking Cartridge., by using the B key.

 

I found that when I cut out the “front” of the leaf with cardstock and BACK it with our Brown/Tan Glitter paper, it adds an AMAZING effect to the card!!

Are you wondering where the word “Autumn” came from?  The word autumn was cut off one of our fabulous zip strips!!

Zip strips are 1/2” strip at the top of all of our designer paper packs!!  I love the little “extras” we receive when purchasing CTMH products!

The tab that the word autumn is on, comes form the Huntington My Stickease pack.

  There are so many beautiful stickers that can be used just as they are OR why not add a bit of ink or glitz glitter gel  to take them up a notch!  J

I believe that completes the details for our 3rd Autumn card!

Quick & Easy Thinking of You card ~ 2nd card

Today I am back with details for the 2nd card, created with our Huntington paper pack!!

Let’s take a closer look at our 2nd card! 

I LOVED how quick & easy this card turned out to be!! 

This pattern of this card is similar to Pattern #21 in the NEW Make It From Your Heart, volume 2 how-to book.  It’s fun to take a sketch…and change it around to make your own creation!

This how-to book is full of FRESH, NEW, INVIGORATING sketches that I am having so much fun with!! 

With (16) 2 page layouts, (2) 1 page layouts and 12 card sketches…this book will give you SO MANY ideas for a LONG time ~ especially when you look at the sketch, turn it 1/4 turn and get a TOTAL NEW look of that card design!!

The final card details - after cutting the 1 1/4” squares for this card, I inked the edges with Cocoa ink.  

I also used a NEW stamp set (Sincere Expressions) to stamp the “Thinking of You” wording. 

Do you know the BEST thing about this NEW stamp set??? 

Well - there are actually TWO things…first, I LOVE the 5 different sayings, and the font that they are written in.

Second, this stamp set is ONLY $6.95!!! I LOVE Close To My Heart’s prices!!

Next on this card, I used our Bronze Shimmer trim (LOVE that it is adhesive backed!) for the border at the bottom. 

I then cut out this FABULOUS little bow from the Artiste Cartridge using our pack of Brown & Tan 12x12 Glitter paper

(YES- this paper is Cricut cuttable! {is that a word?} )

By adding a Brown & Tan sparkle to the middle of the bow, the card was complete!!
