"Pocket Card", "Picture My Life", and "PML cards" all are the SAME exact thing! 😍  

...and Today's hop is all about these FABULOUS 4x6 and 3x4 card designs! 

Close To My Heart has created more PML Cards to coordinate with TWO Paper collections from our CORE Idea Book.. our "Party Time" and "Lovely" collections.

Each pack of Picture My Life (PML) cards, includes 24 cards --12 each of the 4x6 size and 12 each of the 3x4 size.  

While these cards are typically used in the Scrapbooking world, you'll find MANY uses for them...including cardmaking and they make GREAT Gift tags too!

For today's hop---I created a COLLECTION of cards using the Party Time PML pack!  And GUESS WHAT?? I used all 24 cards in this set to create this set of 13  BIRTHDAY cards!!

I wasn't "planning" to do a workshop when I created these😉...so that meant I didn't have to "think" about the products I was using ...while creating. 

Instead, I could pull and use whatever I needed from my stash.  It's SO FUN to do this every once and a while & just have FUN creating with no restrictions! 💗

(I'll share a list of all the items I used at the end of this post.) 

However, I DID gift this card class to a few special crafters of mine...and we had a LOT of fun putting these cards together. 

Let's take a look at a few closeups of a few of the cards. 

There were a few main items did use on all the card designs....the "In This Together" enamel dots...they were the PERFECT colors!! 

Whether they were an addition to the stamped wording...

Or added to complete the "bracket" design...

They really were the PERFECT addition to this CARD collection! 

I also used some Liquid Pearls --- look at this shiny dots on the banner!

and I used Stickles Glitter Gel -- the Icicle color!! It's AMAZING how much sparkle & shine those Stickles added to the card designs! 

I used a FEW Birthday Stamp sets I had on hand...and was pleasantly surprised that most of them ARE still Current and AVAILABLE!!

Oh---what a BEAUTIFUL, new Catalog!! 

I decided to create a card today...let's take a look. :) 

I decided to create a different "fold" of the card.  It was quite easy, as I just scored the card front in half, to create a flap. Take a look at the card when it's open. 

 Shimmer Brushes were used to color the flowers, leaves & butterflies. So pretty!!

Did you see the stitching around the Bracket edges?? We have a WIDE collection of stitched, edged shapes that I adore! I love that "extra touch" the stitched edges bring to any creation.  I chose to use the Z3686 Stitched Fancy Brackets. :) 

AND...the BEAUTIFUL, New "Daisy Meadows- Scrapbooking" stamp and thin cut set!!  WOW---what a beautiful collection!! Take a peek at the ENTIRE stamp set....and check out all of those great THIN CUTS (metal dies) 

ANOTHER BRAND NEW product I used, was this Charming Backgrounds stamp set.  Hooray for Background stamping!! I used 2nd generation Sundance for the coloring of the tiny dots.

Let's take a look at this BEAUTIFUL, paper collection! 

Welcome "In This Together"! 

The beautiful colors of this collection are perfect for so many occassions!  The one side of the paper is geared towards Quarantine, while the OTHER SIDE is filled with beautiful patterns & designs that will go with so many projects!

These paper designs REALLY caught my eye! It's been awhile since we've had a purple focus in a paper pack...it's SO pretty!! 

Here is the card I created for today!  

This card is a regular Card base size, but we've added a Fancy Fold to have this card open on both sides.  Take a look at how the card looks when opened up! 

This is a FUN twist to a traditional way to making a card.  By adding an extra piece of cardstock to the right side of the card base, I am able to create this tri-fold card. 

Now, let's take a look at the details...

I wanted to imitate the muted colors of the paper, and so for the flowers on the outside of the card I used 2nd generation stamping.  

Second Generation stamping is --- inking up the stamp. Then, stamping it FIRST on scrap paper than stamped again (without reinking) onto the die cut.  Ta-da!  A "muted" colored flower! 

You may have noticed the "background" on this card front.  I used a stencil and Lemonade ink to create a subtle background with one of our 12x12 stencil sheets.  

Here is the pack of stencils I used to add this pattern to the front panel & inside of my card design!  Our stencils come in a  3 pack---and these stencils are a CLEAR 12x12 plastic that is so easy to clean!!  

We have THREE different packs of stencils (a total of 9 different 12x12 stencils) and this is Pack #1 -- the one I used for this card. 

I If you look closely in the photo below, you'll see that I cut apart that 9 pattern 12x12 stencil and show the "small" stencil  that I used on my card in this photo. 

Here is a look at the other items I used to create my card too! 

 

I also thought the Lavendar Lace Liquid Pearl was a LOVELY color to go with this paper. I used this for the center of my flowers. 

The Twinkle Toes Holographic paper was a fun, shiny addition to the card too!  

Here's a look at the two stamps I used on this card. 

  

This photo below, shows a close up of the inside of the card.  I kept it very simple, but yet there is lots of room to stamp a sentiment or write out a longer message. 

If you look closely, you'll notice I also used the Stencil image and lightly used the Lemonade ink to give a background to my writing space.  

A strip of Holographic paper at the bottom, added a bit of shine to tie the outside & inside of the card together.

Here is a look at this month's EXCLUSIVE stamp set! I have a feeling this will be a TOP seller, because of our winged friends! AND...look at those words too! 💗

Let's take a look at this simple Slimline Card I created with this set! 

The butterfly design kept "pulling at me" as I looked to create with this stamp set.  I also was a little short on time, so I needed something quick, with no time to color in the images.😊

A quick Lovely, card, can often be CREATED by stamping Tone on Tone!!  I love our color "Peacock" and am so HAPPY it's one of the main colors in our Brand NEW "Daisy Meadows" paper suite!!💗 This was the PERFECT color for this technique!

I used our Peacock Ink pad, and stamped the butterfly on the LIGHTER side of our FABULOUS Cardstock!! I LOVE how the Butterfly image POPS, as it's stamped on the lighter side!

Ok...back to the rest of the card 😉😁. I wanted the butterfly to "stand out" a bit...so out came my Gold Shimmer Brush.  I chose to color in just a FEW of the flowers that were part of the butterfly's makeup. I was happy with the little "pop" that gave the image. 

Next, I needed to tie in that gold shimmer---so I pulled in some GOLD Glitter Paper AND Gold Glitter Gems!  You can NEVER go wrong with more sparkle--right?? 

Does anyone want to guess where that LOVELY, stitched, Peach-colored banner came from?  

It was a PERFECT size, for the birthday sentiment wording in this stamp set!!
