The "Dino-rawr" Stamp set is a CUTE set & I wanted to create a fun kids card today! 

Take a look at the stenciled background.  It's not just ink (if only you could see the texture on photos😉)   

I mixed together texture paste & 3 drops of re-inker to create my customize color of texture paste! Stencils are a GREAT way to create your own backgrounds and I did just that!  

and yes...I DID try to spread the color for the smeared look 😂🤣.  It wasn't quite the look I was going for --but it works. 😉 If you look closely, you may see that I also sponged OVER the texture paste with Lemonade ink ---of course, it looks so much better in person! 

I wanted a stitched banner for my sentiment & didn't think we carried one 🤔

---BUT ---I forgot about the stitched Thin Cut pieces in our Waterfall Thin Cut collection!! Take a look ---it's a BEAUTY of a set!!

February SOTM - Here's the Story - Blog Hop

 Welcome to our monthly Stamp of the Month (SOTM) Blog Hop!!!

Here is a look at this month's EXCLUSIVE stamp set!! 💗

This month's SOTM would typically be seen as a "scrapbooking" set...and YES it is a great stamp for that reason! 

However, you know me 😉....I wanted to use it in a way that wasn't what it was meant for ---so off to the drawing board to figure out a CARD design I could create using this stamp. 

Let's take a peek at my card design below....  😊 

When I create my Stamp of the Month (SOTM) project --my goal is ONLY to use that stamp set...no other stamped images!😉 

However I DO allow myself to pull in other "tools" that we carry, like embossing folders, thin cuts (our metal dies), etc...and that's what I chose to do today! 

It's AMAZING how fast you can change a background by using an embossing folder!💗  and that's what I did for this card today.  Our CTMH embossing folders are 5x7 in size, and I chose to "indent" the image for my card front. 

Clean, simple...quick & easy. 😊  

For an "added touch"...I cut off part of the right side of the card base by using a scallop metal die. This scallop border would typically cut OUT the entire border. BUT...by running this metal die only part way through my CTMH die Cutting machine --I was able to just cut the front of the scallop out & left the rest of the card base intact. 

I used a "touch" of a designer paper from our SAWYER paper suite.  Such a PRETTY paper collection!! I love the light mint lined paper that I was able to use on this card! 

Our Layered Flower Thin Cut set is BEAUTIFUL and can be used in so many different ways! 😍 I used Mulberry & Mint cardstock to cut out the flowers...can you see the STITCHED designs on the leaf image??  I LOVE that extra touch! 

There are 17 different metal dies that are apart of this collection! So many shapes layer together & I'm STILL learning all of the FUN ways to use these images! 

The sentiment of this card --- is from our FEATURED stamp set of this hop! 💗

It was fun to stamp this image, and mask off some words to get the saying I wanted.  Instead of stamping the "Cherished moments in time"...I only wanted the "Cherished moment".  🤩 With a post it note, and multiple times stamping the same image...I was able to acheive that look! 

The FINAL touch was to add a bit of shimmer by adding an eighth inch strip of Mulberry Glitter paper & squeezing dots of our Ballerina - Liquid Pearl.  If you could see this card in person, you would appreciate these extra shiny touches too!😊
