Technique Hop - Anything Goes

Welcome to our "Anything Goes"

Technique Blog Hop!

Today, we will be featuring a technique that WE choose! ๐Ÿ˜✂๐Ÿฅณ

Come on in and check it out!

If you have come here from Katy's  Blog, you are on the right path!   If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants by clicking HERE

This month we have  Close To My Heart Consultants sharing items they created using these FABULOUS new products.   This hop is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Wahoo!!

Here we go!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There are many items retiring this from Close To My Heart and today we'll be focusing on MANY Techniques using these products!
Here is a look at the card I created for today's hop. ๐Ÿ˜
My first thought when I was creating this card, was that I wanted to use Liquid Glass as an accent SOMEWHERE on my card, ๐Ÿ˜‰ so let's start with that today!
1. Liquid Glass--did you know you can use this product as glue AND/OR  embellishment?๐Ÿ˜ฎ๐Ÿ’ก
Take a look at this paper from our Isabella paper suite
I took this full sheet of paper and cut out the squares I needed.
Then...Liquid Glass to the rescue! ๐Ÿ’— I added Liquid Glass to different parts of each Square, creating my own embellishment!
Can you see the shine and "glass like look"
What an easy and pretty accent, whether you use it on designer paper or on a stamped image!๐Ÿฅฐ
2. Splattering with Shimmer Brush
A QUICK & Easy way to get rid of some white space in the background, is to pull out your shimmer brush to create some splattering!!
To create a light splattering of splatters....take another object (like a pen) and tap that pen on the end of the shimmer brush, while holding it over the item you'd like splattered! ๐Ÿคฉ  Have fun practicing on some scrap paper first...and then add splatters to your Artwork WHEREVER you'd like! ๐Ÿ’•
3. Tone on Tone stamping
It seems I forget to do this EASY way of adding colors to my stamped images๐Ÿ˜ฌ.  I cut out my Thin Cut (metal die) shapes from the Doodled Florals stamp & Thin Cut collection
By cutting out the shapes in colored cardstock, and stamping with coordinating ink color, you create a completed look!
Colors used --- Lemonade Cardstock --> Sundance ink
Bluebird Cardstock & ink
Sage Cardstock & ink
4.Dry Embossing
The last item I'll share today...oh how I ADORE how "much" detail comes when using our  5x7 Embossing Folder!.
I LOVE our 5x7 size embossing folders!! Not only do they completely cover a card front, BUT ....they also have a 4 inch slit in the middle of the folder, that you can slide your 12" strip of paper through, and emboss a LONGER piece of paper!!
This folder design is called Spring Blossom & it's one of FOUR designs that will be retiring on August 31st.
I hope you enjoyed this card & were INSPIRED today!!
Here's a list of "ingredients" I used to create this fun card in case you'd like to recreate it on your own!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Here is a look at this month's EXCLUSIVE stamp set!! ๐Ÿ’—

A pretty floral stamp set, but I believe my FAVORITE part of this stamp is the beautiful font lettering!!

Here is my card I designed using this stamp set.๐Ÿ˜

What fun, to have a BRAND NEW, Make It From Your Heart How-To Book & if you know me...I had to pull it out and use it right away!!๐Ÿ˜Š
This is card pattern #27 from our volume 5 book & was so EASY to create!

Did you know---we, at CTMH, have a BRAND NEW catalog that was just released TODAY??  (check it out HERE)
The paper I used, was one of our BEAUTIFUL new papers, called "Hillside Cottage".
Here's a look at this pretty paper pack!

I chose to stamp the flower image in Intense Black Ink & then used my Tri-Blend Markers to color them in!!๐Ÿ’—
If you haven't tried these markers...they are AMAZING!! There are 3 different colors in ONE marker--they are fabulous & make me feel like I really know how to color, because they blend so well!

If you look closely, you may see that in the middle of the flowers, I went over that solid color with the BLACK Shimmer Brush. It's so pretty to see that sparkle in person!

Did you notice the subtle, dotted background on this card?

I created that by stamped 2nd generation black. After the ink was dry---I came back with the lovely Ballerina - Liquid Pearl to add some fun dimension to this card.

Another "quick addition" that adds SO MUCH---add stitched lines with your journaling pen! ๐Ÿ˜

My final touch was a touch of Blue Belle Shimmer Trim & a couple Blue Belle pearls.  I'm not sure WHY the camera didn't pick up the pretty blue color!

What a FUN, FUN card to create!!

I hope you are enjoying this blog hop & are getting a lot of creative inspiration for when you create with your OWN Stamp of the month stamp set.
