Be Still and Know

I wanted to share this card with you today! 

This is my favorite A size stamp set in this current Idea book! Be Still and Know that I am God…how comforting & I am SO THANKFUL that I can put my trust in Him!

For this card, I used the For Always paper pack…and our NEW 12x12 glitter paper!!  

I LOVE how the Glitter paper is CRICUT compatible and that it can be added to ANY creation to "take it up a notch". J

Do you see where I used the zip-strip in this card?  I love, LOVE those zip strips - and love that they come along the TOP of all of designer papers as a little “extra” for us to have!  Thanks CTMH!!!

Take a look at the details…

I created the lines at the bottom of the card by using my dry embossing stylus and my paper trimmer (minus the blade) .  After “indenting” (embossing) the lines, I flipped over my piece of cardstock and sanding it slightly.

I wanted to create a flower type creation with the black tulle - and here is what I came up with. J

The button is from our NEW black assortment button pack (LOVE the variety of colors & designs of buttons in this pack!)

The yellow flower stick pins comes from the For Always asst. pack.

One paper pack I will miss – is our La Belle Vie paper pack! 

This was the paper pack I was assigned to use for my classes I taught at Convention this past year…so it is a true friend! 

This is a PERFECT kit for weddings, heritage, family, romance, etc!  I believe the reason I LOVE this paper pack so much is the colors in this paper pack.  I am a neutral tone gal, and then add in the smokey plum color – ahh, pure delight! J

Here are a few items I created with this paper pack…

I will treasure this scrapbook layout, as it has 4 generations of wedding photos! 

Each photo is attached to a flap that lifts, where the story of my parents, grandparents and great-grandparents story is written!  PRESERVE those memories, and the lives of our family’s!! 

I LOVE the embellishments on this next layout…eclectic alphabet (retiring) black flourish sparkles, and black tulle!

Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

This month we will be featuring Close To My Heart January 2013 SOTM, which is called “Happy Valentine’s Day” a set of 7 BEAUTIFUL stamps, that will be wonderful to use for ANY floral creations you’d like to create! J

Here are a two cards that I created.  I was going for simple, but elegant…and I hoped I achieved that!

The first card…

I used a 5x7 Black cardstock base and used our FABULOUS white-pigment ink to stamp the flower shape designs for the background of this card!!

I used the Art Philosophy Cricut Collection to cut my ovals, and stamped the sentiment with the white daisy pigment ink too!  By using my corner rounder on the silver shimmer trim…I created my own glitter, scalloped border!!!  I added 2 dots of silver glitz glitter gel for the finishing touch on the sides of the ovals. 

The second card…

Again, I wanted to go simple…so I used white daisy & black cardstock. 

I stamped the rose images using our archival black ink – a WONDERFUL ink to use when shading in with color!!!  I highlighted the flowers with 2 of our alcohol markers…light cotton candy and light olive. It was fun to think about the many DIFFERENT colored markers you could use to create this card! 

Finish off the card with black tulle, and ta-da…the card is complete.  Take away the Valentine's sentiment, and I believe I will be using this for some upcoming weddings we will be attending. :)

Whoo’s Your Valentine? Card & Video!

Today, I’m back to share with you another card that I created with the Whoo’s Your Valentine stamp set!!!

Also- I’m including a video for you to view, that includes all the details about this fabulous kit!!

There are some MORE SPECIALS happening this month  J– but first take a look at the next card I created with the stamp set in this kit.

I LOVE the Artiste Cricut cartridge that COORDINATES with so many of our stamp sets!!  In this case, I used Artiste images along with stamped images in the EXCLUSIVE stamp set to complete this card!!!

I used Artiste Cricut Cartridge, page 72, the “Happy Valentine’s Day” key.

This key is the perfect COMPLIMENT to this Valentine’s kit!!!

Here are the measurements I used...

Card Base- Shift> Accent 2>Happy Valentine’s Day...4 1/2”

Heart dollies – Accent 3...2 1/2”

Art Philsophy cartridge~~~~Letter ‘L’ – 1 1/2” >font layer

I also LOVED using our circle punch to punch out the “You’re Sweet” sentiment.  Did you notice how 3D foam tape, gives dimension to the 2nd circle I cut out and placed on top?

Take a look at this FUN stamp set!!!…

• I created my own background of hearts on the card base (bottom right of stamp set)
• By using the chevron stamp, I created a fun strip to accent the side of the card
• I stamped the small heart (top middle) in Blush ink, and then rolled the edges of the heart stamp in Hollyhock ink...and than stamped it and cut it out.
