Choose Happy – Artfully Sent swing card

March is slipping away & I wanted to share this ADORABLE card that uses the EXCLUSIVE March Stamp of the Month (SOTM) stamp set!

This card was created by my “mom” at CTMH- Joyce Houck.

At our recent Consultant Retreat weekend, Joyce brought all the pieces so that we could create this beautiful card!!

This is a swing card, created from our NEWEST Cricut collection – Artfully Sent.

How simple – to cut this card with your Cricut machine….but yet what a BEAUTIFUL card, and it uses the March stamp set so well!!

I love the added sparkles, shimmer trim & the use of the striped zip strip from the Brushed paper pack down the left side….BEAUTIFUL!!

 I love how she created a girl & a boy card!!

Princess Birthday Crown card- Artfully Sent

Our niece’s 4th birthday is arriving next week - and at the moment she is enjoying ANYTHING with Princess!!  J

I was so happy I could pull out my NEW Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge from Close To My Heart!!  It had the PERFECT card that we could use for Tessa’s birthday!

I used key H from the NEW Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge…

Take a look at this page…the PERFECT page for little girls that dream of being princesses!

I decided to create the castle swing card shown on the Scene Key. I did not use the suggested card size of 7”…instead I cut it at 6”.

 

I cut the card base twice…once using Pixie cardstock, the 2nd time cutting it in Juniper cardstock. 

I also cut a rectangle piece using our Brushed paper pack to fit the inside of the card.

Instead of keeping the front of the card  “plain” cardstock, I used the Cuttlebug machine to dry emboss the Damask print onto the Juniper Cardstock. J

I sanded the finished piece a tiny bit - just to bring out the beautiful white that’s in the middle of ALL CTMH papers!

The crown was cut from the ICON key…and was not paired to match this swing card, but that’s ok…After playing with the size of this crown - the final crown was cut at 3” with Whisper cardstock, and I backed it with the solid crown shape cut from our pink glitter paper. 

For the inside of this card, I cut the white 2 3/4” scalloped circle using our Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge!

I have a feeling there are a lot of compatible shapes between the 4 Cricut cartridges we carry at Close To My Heart.

I used a NEW stamp set called “You Mean the World To Me” to add the birthday greeting. 

I am enjoying this “moveable” cards, and am excited to see if Tessa likes it too!!  J

Artfully Sent~ Key Z

I received the NEW Artfully Sent Cricut cartridge and….

OH WOW!!!!!

I can't even BEGIN to tell you all this cartridge can do!!

I wondered if I was you, would I want to see a picture of the actual book?  Of course - silly!!! LOl!!! 

But FIRST…let’s take a look at a simple (5 minutes to create- simple) card that I created from this key!!

Simple it is!! 

There is SO MUCH more you could do to this card, but I chose to use the Seaside Paper Pack & Bamboo cardstock. 

I stamped the words on the card using the Lovely Birthday stamp set & I used the new Scoreboard (LOVE the features of CTMH’s board!) to raise up lines on the bamboo colored insert.

  

Here’s the INSIDE of the card…

Now let’s take a look at the page that shows the Z key!! 

YES ~ these images/shapes are all included in just one key!!

Take a look at the top row - the Pop-Up & Icon keys are made to be used ALL together to create one POP-UP card.  The card is shown at the top left of the booklet in red/pink color.  (However, I use the pieces for other things too! :))

The 2nd row - Scene key - You need to set your dial size at 7” & then you can cut out the 2 items on the scene key & the scene+shift key.  This will create the card shown on the left. (This is the card I created above.) 

******As with ALL items on these keys…the suggested cutting size is listed in the booklet, but you do not have to stick to that.  For my card above, I did NOT cut it at the recommended 7” size - instead, I sized it down to 6”.  I knew there was not a lot of “delicate” Cricut cutting, so I could reduce the size without any problems. *******

2nd row - Sentiment function key....these are TWO different cards. ****Notice for this function key***

The 1st card (no shift) is a 5x7 card (size dial is set at 7") & the "shift" + Sentiment is a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 size card....a BORDER card in this case....

3rd row of function keys....
SLEEVE function - 6" card is a sleeve card - perfect to create a pull out invitation OR a use it to give away a 4x6 photo!  A photo fits perfectly inside!!

SHIFT + SLEEVE function key - this is a 5x7 overlay card, that is a “normal” 5x7 card that has a pattern cut on the front of the card. 

POCKET CARD function key - Take note that you will need to set your size dial according to sizes listed next to EACH function key.

With this function key you will be able to cut out 4x6 & 4x3 pocket type cards!!! I LOVE the possibilities with these handy, dandy cards!!!  They can be used as scrapbook accessories, OR a great way to use to decorate cards & 3d projects too!!
