When I saw this stamp set I thought of earth tone colors right away.
Here are the two cards I created…
Let’s talk about the “FUN” card first…
I used our new Victory Paper pack that includes the colors Outdoor Denim, Olive, New England Ivy, Bamboo and Chocolate. This paper packet can be used for so many events!
I decided to look at my Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge booklet and found JUST what I was looking for!! I used the feature key “card” and than cut <shape8> at 5 1/2” from White Daisy Cardstock. I then used that card base as a template to cut out the frame from the middle of the card onto the 2 different designer papers and inked the cut pieces. Next, I stamped the Bamboo cardstock with the argyle background design in Outdoor Denim and then heavily dragged this piece through my Bamboo ink pad. I LOVE the distressed look that gives!!
For the border, I simply used Olive cardstock and stamped the star images in New England Ivy ink. I LOVE clear stamps Jand because of that, I was able to use just the dotted line off the one border stamp in this set to finish my border!!!
Other items I used for this card…

3D foam tape- my STAPLE in creating!
I thought I would do a little bit to the inside of the card, so here is a shot of how simple that is. J
Now "Hop" on over to Carla’s Blog to see her talented work! I can’t wait to visit myself!
OR…if you’d like to learn some more…here are details on my other card!
The second card I have to share is so COOL! J LOL!!!
Our children are often saying the word “Cool!” so this is the word I decided to use from this stamp set. I used my neutral tones from the Victory Paper Pack and had fun creating with the stamps in this set.
For the Cool frame, I did some masking! I haven’t done this technique in a while, so I got out my post it note, stamped the word “Cool!” on it and cut out around it. Then after stamping “Cool!” in the middle of the frame, I placed the pre-stamped post it note over top and inked up my argyle stamped image in bamboo ink. I stamped on top of the frame, removed the cool post-it note and wa-la! My own designed frame!
I love the little images that come with this stamp set and decided to try and create a double border with it! I really liked how it turned out, but felt I needed to fill in the spaces, so I pulled out the opaques – mocha colored. I think this helps give it a finishing touch.
I also LOVE to do dry embossing…so I used the lined stamp in this stamp set that to create my own lined paper! After stamping on the one side, I turned it over and used my scoring tool to score every other line. Then, I turned it over and sanded so that our white cored paper shown through – giving us a patterned papaer!!! I LOVE the option we have with our white cored paper!!!!
I hope you enjoyed these details and were inspired to try something on your own!
If you haven’t done so already, feel free to "Hop" on over to Carla’s Blog to see her talented work!
