Today I want to share with you a card using NEW Products from our Seasonal Expression 1 mini-book! If you haven’t seen this beautiful catalog, you’ll want to head over to check it out now by clicking HERE!! J
This book will ONLY be available for 4 months! This means you’ll want to make sure to view these goodies before they disappear on March 31, 2015. J
I was excited to use the BEAUTIFUL new paper pack called Heartstrings. This paper is perfect for the month of February, but can also be used for many other occasions too!! The rose paper is just beautiful, and the paper with words is so versatile!
I used CTMH’s Make It From the Heart, volume 2 how-to book for a card sketch to get me started. I am so thankful for these helpful books!!
After deciding on Pattern #25, I turned the design 1/4 turn, and created this card!
After deciding on Pattern #25, I turned the design 1/4 turn, and created this card!
I was so excited to see the result of using the NEW Heart 5x7 dry embossing folder on the already designed paper! I took my sanding block, and sanded just a touch…isn’t that a FUN look?
I also decided to use one of my favorite new stamp sets in this mini-book “Happy to be Friends”.
I see so many possibilities with this stamp set, and love the twigs & flowers that are included in this set!
I stamped the flower 3 times…in 3 different colors! I used Cranberry, 2nd generation Hollyhock & Lagoon inks, and then did some fussy cutting & started layering the flowers on stop of each other.
The “Love You” was stamped in two inks…first I stamped it in Hollyhock, and stamped off to get the lighter color, and then “dipped” the stamp back into Cranberry ink to get the bottom of Love You in the red ink.
I used Whisper ink and sponged the edges of the white daisy cardstock, and added a bit of the white Shimmer Trim - another NEW goodie from this Seasonal Expression1 mini-book! J

Blessings to you for BEAUTIFUL day!!!

I love the look of the embossed and sanded B & T paper. That was a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThe Happy To Be Friends stamp set is my favorite one in the Seasonal Expressions.
Love your card and inspiration! I don't think I've ever dry embossed and sanded B&T. Now I must because the results on your card are stunning!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card! Your embossing and distressing are great on the card! This stamp set will be next to get on my wish list :)
ReplyDeleteI love every detail of your card--the dry embossing and distressing of the patterned paper, the floral accents, two toned stamping and the shimmer trim. Congratulations on earning the Hawaii trip also!
