Today, I wanted to create with one of my FAVORITE paper packs in this book & it's one that I know I'll be purchasing multiple paper packs of!
This card I created below uses the SERENITY paper collection!! 

 Let's chat about this card design! 

I used TWO stamp sets with this card ---

1. Elegant Snowflakes

2. November Stamp of the Month - You Warm My Heart

The colors of Blue Belle & Sapphire have been my go-to lately...and I'm loving these tones together! 😊

I ADORE our stamp/thin Cut collection.....and this ELEGANT Snowflakes was one of the first ones from this NEW book, that I "needed" to add to my collection. 

You can choose to get it with OR without the Thin Cuts (metal dies).  It's totally up to you!  

I cut the snowflakes on my card using our Thin Cut from our Blue Belle Cardstock (this is our "color of the year"!) and then stamped with Blue Belle ink. 

Do you see the BORDER of snowflakes from this stamp set, tucked behind the Stitched Hexagon Shape? 

Another FAVORITE stamp set in this mini book is ONLY available during Nov 2020!! 

This stamp set is our Stamp of the Month for November, called "You Warm My Heart".

I ADORE the words that are included in the Elegant Snowflakes stamp set...and wanted to use "warm winter wishes".   To add this to my card front, I chose to use White Embossing powder and heat set these words in the top right corner. 

Take a look at the bottom of this card design --and the FUN products I used here!!

---> I used TWO new Glitter paper colors --- Sapphire & Blue Belle

It's AMAZING how thin strips of glitter paper add the perfect sparkle & shine!

---> I also used the "Spring Blossoms" 5x7 Embossing folder and impressed that design onto the dark side of Sapphire CS. 

I LOVE the detail this brings to this card!! 

Here is a look at the pretty parts of the Serenity Collection---you'll want to make SURE to ask your consultant about this BEAUTY!

For the final touch of this card, I added the shiny, iridescent loose sequins in Blue Belle color.

I also used Platinum Stickles for some sparkle & shine on the whipped cream.  When doing this -- make SURE to use Intense Black ink when stamping your image! (don't ask me how I know--LOL!!)

The NEW Nov/Dec 2020 Mini Idea book was just RELEASED today --so there are ALL sorts of new goodies to "play" with!! I chose to use the "Jingle Joy" paper suite...as these non-traditional Christmas colors were calling my name! 

Let's take a look at one of my FAVORITE new Thin Cut collections.  "Thin Cuts" are what we call our metal dies, here at Close To My Heart ---and they are AMAZING, and cut like butter on our cardstock, designer paper, AND our glitter paper too!! 

These Thin cuts are 6" long AND take notice of the single light bulb thin cut---you create bulbs in whatever color design you'd like!! 

I used the border thin cut that "matched" the coffee cup design!! How NEAT is that?!?

I used Evergreen Cardstock for the die cut, and then stuck a strip of Ballerina Glitter Paper behind it, to give it some sparkle & shine. 

I decided to also use our Z3687 Stitched Simple Bracket Thin Cut to stamp my words onto. Recently I've noticed a lot of CTMH's artwork, where they take a Stitched bracket, stamp their sentiment, and then cut off the rest of the bracket & I LOVE it! 

The SHINY look behind the sentiment is some of our HOLOGRAPHIC paper---I used the new Twinkle Toes color!! 

After stamping my flower image with Intense Black ink...I pulled out THREE Tri-Blend markers to color in the flower. 💓(Pale Pink Blend, Pale Pink Shades & Light Green Blend)

If you look closely, you'll see the "finishing touch" of a clear shimmer brush over top of the flower petals. 

The Silver Loose Sequins were the final touch...I ADORE those iridescent ones included in the silver set.

It's hot, sticky & SUMMERTIME & that means it's the PERFECT time to use our newest collection at Close To My Heart ---- Please help me welcome "Summer Vibes"!

If you have followed me in the past, you know how much I ADORE our Close To My Heart Workshop kits-- both cardmaking & scrapbooking! 

TODAY---I'm sharing an additional layout ---my "Krista's Crafty" fourth layout 😉 - I created with the "extras" of the G1207 Summer Vibes Scrapbooking Kit ... let's take a look. 😊

When creating these Workshop kits for my monthly classes, we add the Mix-In paper pack, that goes along with that current season (in this case it was X9017) and any extra sheets of cardstock for more bases. This kit -- we added 2 Black Cardstock for bases. 

Take a look at the BEAUTIFUL papers, that are included in the Summer Vibes Paper Collection. 

You can always choose to purchase this paper & coordinating 12x12 sticker sheet by itself --- or in addition to the Summer Vibes Scrapbooking workshop kit -- it's a  BEAUTY of a collection for sure! 💗

With each of the Workshop kits ---Close To My Heart teaches us a technique or we learn about a product we carry.  For this workshop---we pulled in the Cool Mint Stickles & used them in a variety of ways!! 

Stickles make the PERFECT center for flowers....

...or use STICKLES to accent the die-cut pieces, included in the Scrapbooking Workshop kit!  Look at those adorable flip - flops and how using the Stickles adds a fun touch to them!! 

It's AMAZING what a little "sparkle & shine" will do for your creations! 

The yellow hearts in this photo -- are part of the Summer Vibes Acrylic Shapes!  What FUN!! 

Did you know??? These acrylic shapes are made, right in our CTMH facility in Utah??  I love that we make a bunch of our own items!! 💗💗

Close To My Heart has done it again!!

  

This new mini Book is FILLED with BEAUTIFUL papers, embellishments & products!!

It's so hard to choose WHAT product is a favorite...I've had SO MUCH fun playing with so many of them!  Today, let's take a look at the card I created...

 I used the Aurora papers for this card, 😊 and LOVE these deep tones & colors of this collection!!!

 How this card idea came about...I noticed a card in the NEW May/June catalog (pg. 6),  that the CTMH art department created and wanted to try recreating something similar. 

They cut a "window" in the front of their card and had the main image as part of the front & the inside of the card!  I love that the Aurora Cardmaking stamp has a set of coordinating Thin Cuts too!!

 I wanted to stamp the image only once, and finally figured out how to do that :) 

I inked my camper stamp in Charcoal gray, then wiped that color ink off the trees of the stamp.  

Next, I inked the trees (on either end of the stamp) in Evergreen ink....then stamped and TA-DA....a 2 tone stamped image!! 

But wait--the camper and the sun should have some color, right?? 

I used a lovely yellow Tri-Blend Alcohol marker for the sun.  For the camper, I stamped it in Eggplant ink, and just trimmed out the bottom part of the Eggplant camper (I LOVE my micro-tip scissors!) and glued that tiny piece on the bottom of the camper.  

Let's take a look at this GREAT stamp set & the images that are included in this collection! 

To finish off the card, I used the sentiment included in the set & stamped it on the banner with Sapphire ink, while backing it with Eggplant Cardstock.  

Silver glitter gems & Silver embellishing thread gave the card the extra "sparkle" that it needed! :)
