Today, I wanted to create with one of my FAVORITE paper packs in this book & it's one that I know I'll be purchasing multiple paper packs of!
This card I created below uses the SERENITY paper collection!! 

 Let's chat about this card design! 

I used TWO stamp sets with this card ---

1. Elegant Snowflakes

2. November Stamp of the Month - You Warm My Heart

The colors of Blue Belle & Sapphire have been my go-to lately...and I'm loving these tones together! 😊

I ADORE our stamp/thin Cut collection.....and this ELEGANT Snowflakes was one of the first ones from this NEW book, that I "needed" to add to my collection. 

You can choose to get it with OR without the Thin Cuts (metal dies).  It's totally up to you!  

I cut the snowflakes on my card using our Thin Cut from our Blue Belle Cardstock (this is our "color of the year"!) and then stamped with Blue Belle ink. 

Do you see the BORDER of snowflakes from this stamp set, tucked behind the Stitched Hexagon Shape? 

Another FAVORITE stamp set in this mini book is ONLY available during Nov 2020!! 

This stamp set is our Stamp of the Month for November, called "You Warm My Heart".

I ADORE the words that are included in the Elegant Snowflakes stamp set...and wanted to use "warm winter wishes".   To add this to my card front, I chose to use White Embossing powder and heat set these words in the top right corner. 

Take a look at the bottom of this card design --and the FUN products I used here!!

---> I used TWO new Glitter paper colors --- Sapphire & Blue Belle

It's AMAZING how thin strips of glitter paper add the perfect sparkle & shine!

---> I also used the "Spring Blossoms" 5x7 Embossing folder and impressed that design onto the dark side of Sapphire CS. 

I LOVE the detail this brings to this card!! 

Here is a look at the pretty parts of the Serenity Collection---you'll want to make SURE to ask your consultant about this BEAUTY!

For the final touch of this card, I added the shiny, iridescent loose sequins in Blue Belle color.

I also used Platinum Stickles for some sparkle & shine on the whipped cream.  When doing this -- make SURE to use Intense Black ink when stamping your image! (don't ask me how I know--LOL!!)

The BEAUTIFUL, New Core Idea Book is HERE!!

  

This new Idea Book is FILLED with BEAUTIFUL papers, embellishments & products ---and packed FULL of goodness!  There are SO MANY new types of items---I'm so thankful we have an ENTIRE year to play with the goodies inside!😍

One of the NEW products that I am VERY EXCITED about ---is the Distress Oxide inks! 

 Two weekends ago, I was apart of the CTMH Album Retreat weekend. This was for consultants as well as customers! (make sure to ask your CTMH Consultant when the next album retreat is taking place!😍) 

We used the DISTRESS OXIDE inks a lot during the weekend (we created a total of 20 pages!) and it was SO FUN to LEARN how to use them!!

Here is the card I created for today ---and then I'll be sharing a bit about the Distress Oxide ink technique that I used to create it this card! 

I finally got a chance to "play with" the beautiful NEW stamp set -- Florals & Flutters Stamp & Thin Cut .  I'm VERY THANKFUL, this stamp set is staying around for an entire year---as I only used 2 images from this stamp set!!😊

During our Virtual Album retreat, we created this page you see below (along with another 18 pages). On this particular page, we used the AMAZING Distress Oxide Inks! 

Take a look at this layout---as this page uses the SAME technique I used to create the BACKGROUND of today's card design. 💗

To create this BEAUTIFUL, "swash" background Jill (at CTMH) showed us how to do this...

1. We used our All-Purpose Mat, and put the Distress Oxide inks directly onto that mat. 

(I used Candied Apple & Picked Raspberry distress oxide inks)

2. Next, sprayed water over the inks.

3.We took White Daisy Cardstock & dragged it through the inks.  

(you can choose to blot the paper, and/or pull it in different directions to get the look you like onto background paper.)

 

4. Let dry before adhering other pieces on top of page. 

Do you see that "leftover ink" from Jill's project, still on the All-Purpose mat ??? 

I couldn't  wipe up the ink without using the rest of it -- 💗😉

Yup---I found a scrap piece of WHITE Cardstock, swiped up the rest of that ink (before it dried)....and had a BEAUTIFUL BACKGROUND for today's card!

Let's take a look at a few more of the DETAILS on my card for today.😊 

---3-D Flower Thin Cut---

I used our Vellum paper & cut out these GORGEOUS flowers Thin Cuts (metal dies)!

The peach stamped heart comes from the Florals & Flutters Stamp & Thin Cut

---Stencils & Glitter Gel---

Another NEW ITEM that is becoming a Fast FAVORITE --Glitter Gel & our 12x12 Stencils!!

I wanted a "subtle" look to add to my background, and one of our NEW 12x12 Stencils with the Stickles Glitter Gel was the PERFECT touch! I used the Nebula "color"...but you have four different gels to choose from...

1. Moon Dust

2. Nebula

3. Solar Flare

4. Asteroid

It really is "as EASY as that" to adhere these glitter gels to these backgrounds!! 

I used my All-Purpose Mat, taped down my stencil with WASHI tape to keep my background in place...and used the palette knife to spread a LIGHT coating of Nebula Glitter Gel over top of the stencil!  Ta-dah!! 

Check out the sparkly, hexagon, subtle design on the background of this card!

I LOVE the subtle look of those gold stars, added to that clear, sparkly gel! How about you?? 

To finish off the card, I added our BEAUTIFUL Blue Belle Shimmer Trim, and if you look closely, you'll see the bird is sparkly because I used the Blue Belle Shimmer Brush.

Let's take a look at a few cards I created using this ADORABLE collection!😊 

What FUN, happy cards & if my video camera was working --- you'd be able to see the PERKS of them being animated too! (sorry about that!) 

I'm hoping my other CTMH sisters will share with you how BEAUTIFUL these "in motion" products are! (make sure to click on the link below to check out their designs!) 

I ADORE the 6x6 paper stack that is apart of this special. 

Some of the designs of the paper, may look familiar to you --and take a closer look. 

CTMH recreated some of our favorite patterns compressed down from their original 12" × 12" versions.

Take a look at this card design, and take a peek at the x border and the heart circle design -- these come from a SPECIAL stamp set called "You Brighten My Day". This set is ONLY available this month, and an FYI ----is not included in the "Creativity in Motion" bundle that you will find on your Consultant's website. 

Here is a look at this GORGEOUS stamp design!! 

The tabs & wording on the tabs are OH so CUTE!!

Close To My Heart has done it again!!

  

This new mini Book is FILLED with BEAUTIFUL papers, embellishments & products!!

It's so hard to choose WHAT product is a favorite...I've had SO MUCH fun playing with so many of them!  Today, let's take a look at the card I created...

 I used the Aurora papers for this card, 😊 and LOVE these deep tones & colors of this collection!!!

 How this card idea came about...I noticed a card in the NEW May/June catalog (pg. 6),  that the CTMH art department created and wanted to try recreating something similar. 

They cut a "window" in the front of their card and had the main image as part of the front & the inside of the card!  I love that the Aurora Cardmaking stamp has a set of coordinating Thin Cuts too!!

 I wanted to stamp the image only once, and finally figured out how to do that :) 

I inked my camper stamp in Charcoal gray, then wiped that color ink off the trees of the stamp.  

Next, I inked the trees (on either end of the stamp) in Evergreen ink....then stamped and TA-DA....a 2 tone stamped image!! 

But wait--the camper and the sun should have some color, right?? 

I used a lovely yellow Tri-Blend Alcohol marker for the sun.  For the camper, I stamped it in Eggplant ink, and just trimmed out the bottom part of the Eggplant camper (I LOVE my micro-tip scissors!) and glued that tiny piece on the bottom of the camper.  

Let's take a look at this GREAT stamp set & the images that are included in this collection! 

To finish off the card, I used the sentiment included in the set & stamped it on the banner with Sapphire ink, while backing it with Eggplant Cardstock.  

Silver glitter gems & Silver embellishing thread gave the card the extra "sparkle" that it needed! :)
