Here is the 1st  layout you will create with the INCLUDED Dakota instructional guide…

When you have completed the 1st layout , using the colorful, detailed instruction guide, you will want to head to my website to get the instructions and print off guides to create a 2nd layout!!!

By going under the “Ideas & Inspirations” section at the top of my website, you can find details for ALL thirteen WOTG’s from the most recent Idea Book!!

2nd Dakota WOTG layout….I did change this a bit from CTMH’s original design (that’s the BEAUTY of creating!! Make it your own!!)

There is always PLENTY of items left to create more items with the leftover papers!!!
Close To My Heart always has a bonus project that you can create with the leftovers!  In this case, they suggest this Photo Collage!!! 


For this workshop, you would need to purchase the Z1737- My Creations Collage Cubes to create this project…and then use the leftover items from your WOTG kit to decorate it!!!  The instructions are listed on my website, under the “Ideas & Inspirations” section.

Instead of  creating the bonus project with each kit, …I come up with a simple 3rd two page layout for my Monthly Scrapbooking Club!! I do have instructions for those of you that can’t make it to my actual club too…just let me know! 

In creating my 3rd page layout, we set up some guidelines to make it FAST & EASY!!!

They are…

• no inking
• no stamping
• quick and easy
• use the coordinating stickers or complements to complete this 3rd layout

This is sometimes hard to accomplish (I LOVE to ink the edges – LOL) , but we stick to these guidelines most times!! 

Here is the 3rd layout I created for the Dakota WOTG class….

I took a bit more time on this layout (I didn’t follow the guidelines this time ) by backing the foil Dakota stickease with leftover cardstock  to make them sturdier. 

I also pulled in the adhesive backed, canvas alphabet…I had wanted to try these out and the Dakota paper pack was calling my name! LOL!!

I cut it out of leftover designer paper from the paper pack!! J USE your paper pieces to the fullest! J

Love Card–Rock the Block

I had fun creating a CARD using the Rock the Block stamp set that I wanted to share with you!!! J

Here is the card…a 5x7 size and I used a pattern out of our ORIGINALS How-To-Book .  The pattern name is “Colors & Cubes and can be found on page 63. 

When I first saw the Rock the Block promotion – “CARDS” popped into my mind as I looked at the ADORABLE, Exclusive stamp set that comes with this promotion!!

I knew I wanted to stamp “love” in one line, rather than in the block square.  I just inked up the “LO” first…stamped.  Then inked up “VE” and stamped along side of the “LO”.  I LOVE our clear, see through, acrylic stamps!!! 

  I LOVE the background images in this stamp set too!!  I used the screen print on the cardstock squares at the bottom of the card.  Of course the flowers, leaves and the HUGE flourish are all VERY useful too! I stamped a bunch of the flowers, cut them out and then had a FUN time deciding what colors I liked best to create the completed flowers. 

The products I used in creating this card…
I used Kraft Cardstock (this is becoming a FAVORITE!) for my card base.  Then I used the colors, Crème Brulee, Sunset, Olive, Desert Sand & Lagoon. 



Yes, I did hand-cut the flourishes…I LOVE our cutting knife and Versa Mat to accomplish this task!!!  This is fun to do every once in a while.
 
For embellishments I used our Antique Copper Designer Brads and the metal assortment of brads.  I also used the Olive Mini-Medley ribbon.  I LOVE these Mini-Medleys!!
