I am a traditionalist, and enjoy the red, green colors of Christmas…but I also was quite DELIGHTED at how CTMH brought neutral tones into this paper pack as well!
After cutting these from the Artiste cartridge, I took my bone folder and scored the center of each flower petal. I then inked the flowers in ruby ink.
How did I create the leaves?
They are the SAME flower shape as the poinsettias!!!!
I tore off 2 green points of my flower, and left 3 “leaves” to add to the bottom of my poinsettia flower!
I love the neutral tones that will coordinate with so many occasions! You could use this paper pack for wedding, heritage, outdoors, family, and the list goes on! J
I was a part of a swap a few month’s back and still have some artwork to share with you! J Yay!!!
These items below were created by fellow consultant Lisa Combs and she used the Florentine paper pack along with some of our new embellishments.
I love the many ways she used this paper pack and the FUN new embellishments she used with the Florentine paper pack.
I love this new style of card, but I loved how Lisa double matted her wording on the front of the card. The stamp set that she used is on pg. 98 and called “The Best Things”.
Since this is a favorite paper pack of mine, I did create a few things using this pack as well. J
First, we have a two page layout…the layout pattern is taken from the Magic book, pg.80 the pattern called “Charmed”.
**Remember, these how-to books are while supplies last! ***
I used flower 8 from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, and added some texture to it…here’s a close up….
I used the stamp set Universal Backgrounds” to add the wording, and then sponged everything in Crème Brulee ink. The leaves and the swirls came from the stamp set called “Kick Back”…I LOVE this stamp set! I used two NEW embellishments for the center of the flowers…Round Durables, and the pre-adhesive Pewter Badges.
For the other page, I used more stamped images from the Kick Back stamp set and cut a few of them out. I had fun stamping the SUN stamp inside the Relax wording…
I also created a notebook with Florentine for one of my secret sister gifts on the Hawaiian Cruise.
The neutral tones go with so much! I just kept it simple and used the saying from the “Kick Back” stamp set. I also used the new dark chocolate velvet rub-ons! I was amazed at how EASY it these were to use!
Inside, I again kept it simple. I wanted to add a cute jumbo paper clip to the pocket…so I cut out a few scalloped circles using our 2” scallop circle punch. I then used the Art Philosophy cartridge to cut out the rest of the pieces to create a “fancy” paper clip. The star and swirls were stamped with our “Love Life” stamp set.
I hope you get a chance to create this week! Feel free to drop me a comment and I’d love to have you share your ideas and work with me as well!
Blessings to YOU,
Krista

Welcome Back! J I promised I’d share some more Elemental artwork…and here it is! J
I had a LOT of fun with this set and LOVE the versatility of this Paper Pack!! First, here is what the Elemental Paper pack looks like…
There are SOOO many ways to USE this paper pack!!!
Here is a Christmas Card I created using this paper pack and the “Love Life” stamp set. (remember....just click on the picture to see more detail!)
I LOVE the Rhinestone Designer brads, and it gave my ribbon that extra touch. Of course adding some Stardust Glitz Glitter gel, sparkles AND I created some of my own glimmer mist…I have a totally “frosted” Christmas card!
Here is a 3x3 card that I created using the new stamp set called “Christmas Love” shown on page 101 in the Fall/Winter 2011 Idea Book.
I wanted to try some hand stitching J(this is NOT a common practice of mine) so…I used our new clear 14” ruler!
This ruler has become a personal friend…not only is it a ruler, but it has a grid printed on it and holes spaced evenly along the bottom so that I can evenly space my STITCHING and the placement of my Brads! It also has a metal straight edge so I can use my craft knife with this and not worry about digging into the plastic. Can you see the red lines at the bottom of the ruler? (remember you can click on ANY picture to see more detail) These lines help me to decide if I’d like a straight stitch pattern OR another style of stitching!! This ruler is WONDERFUL!!!!
Ok J – back to creating…you can see the rest of the detail on this 3x3 card.
YES- I DO enjoy using my craft knife and cutting around stamped items J – keep in mind…these cards were supposed to be the "BEST of the BEST "and I was supposed to go "ALL OUT"- these cards were for the class I taught at Convention this past summer. So, NO I don’t ALWAYS put in so much detail into a card J – but I do enjoy doing this every once in a while!.
Another Elemental creation is this Cherish card! This is a card that just “happened” – and I did like the end result.
MOST of these card designs DID come from one of Close To My Heart’s how-to books…either the Originals book or the Wishes book. I HIGHLY recommend these books! I LOVE the time these books save me!! I don’t have to take the time to think of my own design but instead I look at a sketch from the book, chose a paper pack and WA- LA – a card is created! J
This card was a lot of FUN and it makes me feel happy when I look at it! I used MANY new items on this card…Bling Assortment, Just Blooms Paper Shapes (butterfly), Red Collection Designer Ribbon, Silver Glitz Glitter Gel, Elemental Complements, Ruler….I think I listed them all. J
The last CARD I will share with you today is my clear snowflake card.
This card may look familiar to some of you…I used this card design to create a clear card for my Wonderland Swap! I loved the snowflake with the colors of sorbet, pacifica and lagoon. Adding the Bling pearl pins and the sparkle buttons add to the winter feel. I also used some of the NEW ribbon from the red collection designer ribbon- the color is sorbet.
Ok – ONE last item – that is not a card, but something I created with this Elemental Paper and I really LOVE it!
Here is a Post it note holder using the Elemental Paper pack! I had SOOO Much fun using the new Just Bloom Butterflies and then using a stamp set from the Spring book (it's still availalbe!!! C1440 Take a Picture) By using some pearl paint and re-inker and shaking that inside our spray pen- I created a pearl like butterfly!

Once again I thought I’d share some of the talent of fellow consultants from the swap I participated in.
Fellow Consultant, Pamela O’Connor, is a talented creator and I was privileged to have my items swapped with hers!J I LOVE the ideas she came up, using the new Elemental Paper pack! You can check out her blog here to catch up on more of her amazing creations!
Elemental Paper Pack X7141B
To be honest, I wasn’t sure about this new paper pack, Elemental, when I first saw it…BUT NOW – I realize how versatile this paper pack really is!!! There are sooo many things you can do using this paper pack!!!! It’s absolutely AMAZING!!!! Here are the pieces that Pamela created using this paper pack…

GORGEOUS, huh? J
Let me show you some of these items in more detail…I believe my favorite piece that she created was this clever gift bag holder! Do you know how she made it? Out of our NEW die-cut 6x6 kraft cards! How creative!!! She also used the “center point” button on her Cricut Expression machine to create the oval. What a GREAT button to use for something like this!

Next, her BEAUTIFUL layout…so simple, but classy! LOVE this design!

Here is a tag/pocket created with the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge!!! GUESS WHAT 3D item she used to make this tag????? Can you see it? ….Pamela used the PILLOW Box key to make this adorable tag set!!!! I LOVE it- thinking OUTSIDE the box! J

Next we have an ADORABLE card using the ever popular “Love Life” stamp set as well as our NEW Pewter Mini-Medley accents. I LOVE this pewter frame, and how it framed the word love so nicely….just beautiful!

I love the difference a CIRCLE card can make! What FUN!!! This card is so cute and I plan on remembering how Pamela used the ribbon slide…but then stuck a brad in the middle of it to give it a totally new look! J
