Base & Shade stamp images are some of my FAVORITE stamps!  When using these stamps, you know you'll be creating a quick card because you don't need to plan on coloring in the images.  I love to use the coordinating stamp image to fill in whatever color my heart desires.  I was really excited to see the image of the spray of baby's breath too.  Possibilities, possibilities J 

As I thought about how I would use this stamp set, I decided to do some stamp "masking".  It had been a long time since I had done this technique & as I shared this card at my team meeting - I was pleasantly surprised that "masking" was a new term for some of them!!  It's so FUN to learn new things!!  

Here is the card I created... 

I used the ink colors of Hollyhock, Pomegranate, Whisper, Fern & Sweet Leaf.  I also used the Memento Tuxedo Black ink for the wording. J 

After stamping the images, I cut a strip of the Paper Fundamentals cardstock & La Vie En Rose paper for the accent across the middle of the card.  Then I tied some Pixie extra thick twine around the card before "popping" the stamped mat onto some black cardstock. 

I also created a card that didn't have the strip of paper shown above....

You can definitely see more of the "masking" technique on the card that doesn't have the strip of paper....I believe I still like the card with the two extra strips of paper. J

Love Struck interactive card

Can you believe it???  Only a few days until Valentine’s Day!  

I wanted to share with you another creation that I received from a fellow consultant.  I mentioned in a previous post that I was in a swap(CLICK HERE) and I wanted to share another beautiful piece of artwork that I received from this. 

 Evon Fuerst is the creator of this amazing piece…come on in as we take a look at what she created – just in time for Valentine’s Day! J

This is the front of this Valentine’s booklet… take notice of the Love Struck sentiment….it is a band that is holding this beautiful creation together!!

Look at the details she included…

The sparkles…….Sparkle Flourishes…..Stamping……Ribbon

She used the NEW stamp set – Forever In My Heart to add some beautiful stamped artwork. 

While this booklet is already fabulous in itself…there’s MORE!! 

Look at this next set of pictures to see how she opened these flaps to have room for MORE pictures, journaling, or whatever you’d like to add!
What an ADORABLE gift to give your precious loved one, at Valentine’s Day!!  I love the pocket (tied shut with ribbon) on the right side of the picture.  Perfect to store and hide something special, for your special someone.

Valentine’s Day Waterfall card

Good day to each of you! I’m excited to share with you today some cards created by my fellow, CTMH consultants! 

I recently was a part of a swap - where we created 3 cards using either our NEW Heartstrings or Hopscotch paper pack…and then we would receive 3 cards in return!!

Swaps are the PERFECT way to get a sampling of NEW goodies, and see many new ideas from my designing friends!

Today, I wanted to show you a Waterfall Card that fellow consultant Evon Fuerst created. 

It was so neat to see her card when it arrived…I haven’t made a waterfall card in such a long time!!

Maybe this is the first time you have seen this type of card?

It’s an interactive card, and can be used in many different ways, for many different occasions! 

Let’s take a peek at what happens when you start to pull the tab at the bottom that has the pixie colored extra thick twine…

So….NEAT!!!! 

See how she created a different square for each part of the pulled tab?  There is a total of 4 squares that are filled.

Can you see the possibilities?  This card was created with Valentine’s Day in mind, however…why not create a birthday card, or maybe a card with animals for a child’s get well card? 

Since it’s Thursday today - why don’t we do a “Throwback Thursday” using CTMH products. J

Here is a waterfall card I created….long, LONG ago! (or so it seems)

When I did a search in my CTMH files for a waterfall card, this card appeared…this was one of my favorite stamp sets!!

Here is the inside view...

Also during my file search….another picture of a waterfall card appeared…and it was actually created last month!!

This card uses our Confetti Wishes paper pack & the Dec SOTM stamp set “Cutie Pie”.  I did not mark down the consultants name who created this…so please let me know if it’s you!

If you have arrived from my friend & upline Joyce Houck’s blog you are right on track.  Since we are already in the month of January…I thought it may be fun to show you samples of Valentine cards I created recently!  J

Here are the 3 Valentine’s Cards I created….

Today, Let’s talk about the details on the other two cards.  

Happy Valentine’s Day card

I had so much fun with this card!! The card design that inspired me was pattern #25 in our Make It From Your Heart - vol. 2 booklet. (take a peek at this pattern, and you can see the few changes I made J )

I used 3 of the NEW stamp sets in our Seasonal Expression mini-book!  Let’s look at the 3 stamp sets… 

1. The stamp set from Heartstrings WOTG card kit (G1090)


2. C1608 Brushstrokes

3. D1635 Assorted Edges



I had FUN using the border stamps to create my OWN background paper!  I stamped the circle/dotted border in Lagoon ink, on top of Lagoon cardstock!

I also REALLY like the adorable heart/arrow border that is included in the Heartstrings WOTG stamp set!!! By stamping it in Cranberry…it added a finishing touch to the middle of the card.


Let’s take a look at the 2nd card…

Be Mine card

I used the SAME stamp sets as listed above…BUT I also used our FABULOUS spray pens as part of the background!!!

By mixing whisper re-inker & water  and putting it into the spray pen, you get a beautiful “spotted” background!!  Here is a closer look!



To create all of these cards, I used the BEAUTIFUL new paper pack called Heartstrings. 


This paper is perfect for the month of February, but can also be used for many other occasions too!! The rose paper is just beautiful, and the paper with words is so versatile! 

I didn’t talk about the embellishments - but they show themselves well…there’s no NEED to talk! LOL! 

The NEW White shimmer Trim, Heartstrings Assortment , Pixie Extra thick Twine & the Stuck On You - Puffies added the perfect touche to finish these cards!!
