 I adore taking pictures, so this stamp set appealed to me right away. What a cute stamp set!! J 

The Regatta paper collection is our featured paper pack at Close To My Heart this month, so that is where my creative thinking to make this card began.  

I hadn't created a square card in a while....so after looking at my WISHES How-To book (pattern "Just Right" on page 39) I decide THIS was the sketch I would create!

I am REALLY enjoying using the patterned papers in Regatta, and was able to pull in 4 of the different B&T Duo patterned papers (Background & Texture) into the design of this card! 

Take a look at the picture below for some of the detail....

The gold touches of shimmer trim (cut in 1/2) and the gold, sparkle Bling Gems, finished the card.  

In case you'd like to create your own card, I cut the 1" HEART Cricut shape from our Artiste Cricut collection, and used the heart on page 66 by using the Real Dial Size key (RDS).

January Stamp of the Month - This Moment

Here is the card I created this month.J

My card design came from our Wishes How-To Book.  This card's pattern is called "It's a Wrap"...and it is a slide out card.  

I used the NEW Heartstrings paper pack that works perfect with January's stamp set!! J 

Look at this BEAUTIFUL new paper pack!!  Those colors...those patterns...squeal! 

The arrow stamps in this set kept calling my name - so I decided to use them as part of my background. 


 By inking them in Whisper ink & stamping them on Whisper cardstock, it created a beautiful background. 

In creating the pull out part of this card...I wanted to add some texture to that piece inside.  The CTMH Scoring Board was the PERFECT answer!! 

I put my 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of white daisy cardstock on the Scoreboard, and scored all 4 sides in 1/4" inch from the edge to create the border.  

The Chevron border punch is one of my FAVORITE tools of CTMH's...and since we were already going with the arrow theme, I thought this may be the perfect addition! J

This is one of my favorite ways to use this punch...punch the chevron design into any designer paper of my choice...and then cut them apart into arrows to add as accents to my projects.

I really like the images on this stamp set, but wasn’t sure how to use them at first. J

 

So, off to my Handy-Dandy Wishes How-To book to decide on a pattern!

I looked at the “Medallion” pattern in the 5x7 section & decided to to go with that to give myself a bit more room in creating with this larger stamped image. 

Take a peek at my card I created…

As I thought of Family - I think of Heritage…and therefore brought in the neutral colors with a touch of color.

I used TWO different paper packs - Snowhaven & Yuletide,both winter/Christmas paper packs,  for the designer papers. 

I also wanted to add dimension to the card, so I used the hearts as accents &
popped them up with our fabulous 3D Foam tape - now available in 2 different thicknesses!

I really enjoy our NEW embossing folders, and because our folders are the 5x7 size - it was PERFECT to add to the bottom of the card!! 

The embossed honeycomb shape was a perfect compliment for this piece.I inked the edges in Champagne ink…just to give it a touch of color. 

In the new Idea Book (Annual Inspirations) you will see that we have added another 4 designs to our 5x7 embossing folder collection!!

I hope this has inspired you & allows you to see ANOTHER way this EXCLUSIVE stamp set can be used!!   J
