Today, I chose to create this card design using this stamp set.

I was inspired by a recent card I saw, where the vellum was used as part of the "opening " part of the card!! What fun!! I ADORE our Decorative Border Thin cuts that I used to cut our vellum...that stitched edging has so much appeal! 

Take a look at this BEAUTIFUL paper collection that I took my colors from.  This paper collection is called "True Love. I only used one sheet of patterned paper (the sapphire blue in the background) but used the cardstock colors in this collection to finish out the card! 

Let's take a look at some of the details of this card. 

There are SO MANY new Thin Cuts (metal dies) in our Seasonal Expression 2 (SE2) catalog, that was released on May 1st, and this is Lace Border is a popular one!! It is back ordered until the end of July!  I knew a lot of you already had this border & could use it to recreate this card if you chose.

 
I "fussy cut" out the flower out of the Cake!!  I love to use as many stamps as I can from one particular stamp set! :) 
I colored the flowers with TWO of our shimmer brushes....Mint & Sugarplum.  I wish you could see the shine on these flowers!! 

Another fun technique, I hadn't done in a while....creating my own background. I used the "make a wish" wording of the June SOTM, and created a subtle background for part of my "patterned" paper. :)

It's an EXCITING time, here at Close To My Heart.  May 1st was the release of our NEWEST papercrafting goodies & we have so many BEAUTIFUL products to play with! 

Today, I wanted to share the card I created for my make n take at this past weeks Open House event.

It was so hard to choose WHAT new products to use & create with ...but that True Love paper pack drew me in, and I started creating!

Here is a look at this BEAUTY of this particular paper pack!!

The color combo just makes you say "Wow!" 

I got my card design, from last season's catalog.  Take a look at the photo below...does the card design on the middle card look familiar at all??

I used a lot of FUN embellishments...Gold Glitter Gem, NEW Gold Embellishing thread...but look at the  middle of the card, behind the Pinwheel?? Do you see those light pink dots?
(yes...that's clear shimmer brush you see on 4 of the pinwheels ;) ) 

THAT ....is a FABULOUS New stamp set named "Timeless Textures"!  I have a feeling I'll be using this stamp set quite often! 

Another NEW product I "had" to include in this card design is our Lace Border Thin Cut (metal die). 
LOOK at the detail on that beautiful border!!

AND....you most likely noticed the BEAUTIFUL, dry embossed Eggplant colored cardstock?  

Yes...you got it ;) ....that's our NEW 5x7 Floral Garden embossing folder.  I told you there were so MANY Beautiful products!! :) 

The new stamp set that I used for the pinwheel - comes from our Craft On-cardmaking stamp.  I chose to purchase the Stamp/Thin cut bundle, so my metal dies help me to create my creations in a jiffy! :)
