This month we have  Close To My Heart Consultants sharing items they created using these FABULOUS new products.   This hop is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Wahoo!!

Our TWO,  NEW Idea Books are FILLED with BEAUTIFUL papers, embellishments & products!! It was hard to choose what items to create with, but I wanted to share a simple Christmas Card I created, using some of these new products. 

Take a look....

The"Holly Jolly" paper collection are the 2 patterned papers I used for this card.  

I believe the soft snowflake pattern is my FAVORITE paper in this paper collection.    Take a look at the rest of these pattern designs....

I used 2 different stamp sets for this card creation..  

  FIRST----the sentiment "Christ the Savior is Born"...I ADORE our mini size stamp sets....and at $3.95 , this is one you'll just "need" to add to your stamp stash! 

NEXT --- this stamp set we call "For the Tree", is one that I CONTINUE to pull out and use!  From the lovely words of "merry christmas" to this case, I used that lovely STAR image.  There are so many options to use from this particular stamp set!

The NEXT new items we used...is our 5x7 Snowflake Embossing folder!!

  Look at how LOVELY this folder embosses.....so, so beautiful!! 

If you look closely, you'll also notice a stitched edging around the Black CS snowflake embossed paper.  

By cutting my Black Cardstock (CS) from our Stitched Square Thin cuts and THEN running it through my embossing machine, I got that lovely stitched edge.

There are some FABULOUS specials going on this month at CTMH, and one of them involves an EXCLUSIVE Thin Cut & special called "Share the Joy".  If you haven't heard the details...make sure to contact your CTMH consultant to learn all about it! 

With that said...you will now know WHERE I got the dies for this card design. :)

I choose to use the Sweet Girl paper suite color palette on this card...and had so much fun!!

  

That ADORABLE stitched section with the punched out circles.....THAT is our EXCLUSIVE die cut available this month!  Also...take note of the 2 banner pieces at the top of the card....this banner is ALSO in this BUNDLED Thin cut set!!

I also pulled in one more of our FABULOUS Thin Cuts (metal dies) ...that would be these beautiful Stitched Flowers!

I used Sapphire cardstock for the base flower, and then peach cardstock & Carolina cardstock on top of that one. 

If you look closely...you'll notice I colored the peach CS with our gold shimmer pen to give it some shine! ;) 

In this photo below, you can see the BEAUTIFUL detail of those stitched lines in both the FLOWER Thin Cuts...and the circle cut Thin Cuts!! 

I hadn't used the Sequin ribbon in a little bit too...and was pleasantly surprised at how much this embellishment added to this card!

Today, I chose to create this card design using this stamp set.
Let's check it out!   

I was inspired by a recent card I saw, where the vellum was used as part of the "opening " part of the card!! What fun!! I ADORE our Decorative Border Thin cuts that I used to cut our vellum...that stitched edging has so much appeal! 

Take a look at this BEAUTIFUL paper collection that I took my colors from.  This paper collection is called "True Love. I only used one sheet of patterned paper (the sapphire blue in the background) but used the cardstock colors in this collection to finish out the card! 

Let's take a look at some of the details of this card. 

There are SO MANY new Thin Cuts (metal dies) in our Seasonal Expression 2 (SE2) catalog, that was released on May 1st, and this is Lace Border is a popular one!! It is back ordered until the end of July!  I knew a lot of you already had this border & could use it to recreate this card if you chose.

 
I "fussy cut" out the flower out of the Cake!!  I love to use as many stamps as I can from one particular stamp set! :) 
I colored the flowers with TWO of our shimmer brushes....Mint & Sugarplum.  I wish you could see the shine on these flowers!! 

Another fun technique, I hadn't done in a while....creating my own background. I used the "make a wish" wording of the June SOTM, and created a subtle background for part of my "patterned" paper. :)

January 2019 Stamp of the Month - Card Captions

This month, January 2019, we have a "Winner" of a stamp set ----- I introduce to you our "Card Captions" stamp set.  

What a WONDERFUL stamp set that can be used all year long & in years to come too!!  Take a look at this BEAUTIFUL collection!

I know I'll be using this stamp sets A LOT.....and this is a GREAT stamp set to do some "Stamp Surgery" on!

Stamp surgery is when I take my VERY SHARP micro-tip scissors...and cut apart the sayings in a stamp set, so I can have better placement of the image. 

So yes....I cut apart the Birthday Wishes saying - so that I could stamp it on top of each other vs. masking the words & trying to not get ink everywhere....LOL!!

Here's my card design using this stamp set. 

In case you haven't heard....CTMH released TODAY (Jan 1st) a BRAND NEW, beautiful Seasonal Expressions 1 Idea Book! That means we have LOTS of beautiful, new goodies to create with! 



Today, I am using the FUN-LOVING paper collection called "Something Fierce".  What a beautiful collection....and while the dinosaurs may stick out to you at first....you will come to see the amazing VARIETY this paper collection offers us!!  I LOVE this paper collection!!


Let's take a closer look at the "Something Fierce" papers...and then we'll talk about my card creation.

YES....it IS a Gift Card holder!!!

A fellow consultant - Susie Sutton - was so GRACIOUS to share this adorable card design with all of us!!  How CLEVER this is!!!

The left side of the card that is glued down (make sure to only glue the OUTER edges of this piece!) - is 2 1/4" wide.  So that would make the other side ---that flips up and down --- 3 1/4" wide. 

 We created this card at one of my TEAM meetings....it's our goal each meeting to create a card using the upcoming Stamp of the Month, so we have a sample to share with our papercrafting friends.  

One of "my girls" suggested we add a Decorative Thin Cut border to the left side...and that was the PERFECT finishing touch!!!

I also used our "Stitched Heart" thin cuts (metal dies) I'm not sure WHAT I would do without these heart die cuts!! They are the "perfect" touch to so many of my creations!! Love - LOVE these hearts!!

The Peacock Stitched Ribbon was the ONLY embellishment that I used on this card....and while it's not a Current item - it IS still AVAILABLE!! What's even better - it's in the CLEARANCE SECTION on my website!!
