What a FUN set, and I can't wait to see what my CTMH sisters create with this stamp set! :) I'm sure you saw some beautiful work already in this hop. :)    

Today, I chose to create a card with this stamp set.   

I didn't have a lot of time to "play"...so I created the first thing that came to mind, and it's quite simple.  I look forward to playing some more with this stamp set VERY soon! :)  

Because I was short on time....I picked up my Make It From Your Heart vol 4 AND my NEW "Love of Color" color combo book. I am SO THANKFUL for these books, and how time saving they are!!

It's the paper collection with the BRIGHTEST colors in our Idea Book this time. We call it "Oh What Fun".  I love the tones in this paper pack...isn't this collection beautiful?!?!!

I'm not sure how well the photo captures this...but let's give it a try.  A SIMPLE way to add some dots to any background....our Shimmer Brushes! 
  OH the possibilities!

I wanted a "sparkly" snow background, and I took the shimmer brush....tapped it on my finger above my paper & ta-da...I made shimmer flecks of snow! 

I also ADORE the NEW Silver Thread....and twirled a bit around my finger & used a glue dot to hold it in place! ;)  The perfect sparkle & shine!

May is National Scrapbooking Month....yes it is!! 

If you know Close To My Heart, you will remember that we LOVE to celebrate...and celebrating is what we are during in May 2018!!!

So...back to our card...I used the Postcard Perfect Stamp set for this card. 

As soon as I saw this stamp set, those BEAUTIFUL palm trees captured my attention!! I KNEW I had to create something with this gorgeous image! :) 

This paper pack, is STUNNING as well!! I don't know if you can see it on the card, but the darker strip on the left side of the card, is the "wave" paper...it does have a FUN wave design to it & looks so pretty in person! :)

Here's a photo I took, where you can see that beautiful wave paper.  

If you look closely at the palm trees on this card, I hope you can see the bit of sparkle on the fronds.  I used our clear shimmer brush to add that shine!

Also - take a peek at the flower, I used the Bashful Shimmer brush to add some pink & some sparkle to the flower center!! 

The pink gems/dots...come from the NEW Documented collection.  The pack includes 3 colors - peacock, bashful & eggplant...so pretty!!

And...who noticed the "Stitched Circle"?  Yes - we have NEW Thin Cuts (metal dies)  ....and 3 of these collections are stitched shapes!! Wahoo!! 

Where did the "thank you" wording come from?  That is from a new stamp set - called Shell Sentiments...check it out!!  (and the 2nd stamp set is another favorite called "Aloha Spirit")

Here is this months EXCLUSIVE stamp set, that you can get for ONLY $5 with your $50 CTMH purchase in April 2018.

I was a bit "challenged" as I looked at this stamp set...it seemed like a Scrapbooking Stamp set to me.  But, soon that thought went to the back of my mind ;)....and I started brainstorming - HOW can we use this stamp set on a card. :) 

Let's take a look at the card I created using this stamp set.... 

I chose to use a NEW card design pattern, from our Make It From Your Heart, vol 4 How-To-Book.  I used pattern #15.  I just LOVE this new card book...I guess it's not really "new" anymore (it came out Jan 1st) but there are still so many patterns I haven't used to create cards!!  CLICK HERE to check out this WONDERFUL card sketch book :)  

The paper I used to create this card, comes from the "Gimme Some Sugar" collection.  So many beautiful colors & prints in this collection!

Let's take a few close up views of parts of this card...



I wanted to use as MANY stamp sets from the April Stamp Of the Month (SOTM) as possible....so that meant it was time for some BACKGROUND stamping! :) 

I used Mink cardstock for my background....and then stamped the stems of leaves in MINK ink!!  This subtle stamping, adds just the right touch of detail!

  

The darker "pink" in this card is our Pixie Cardstock.  Did you know????  Our Cardstock is NOW two-toned!!!  I LOVE this feature of our cardstock!!  The dark pnk, is actually the LIGHTER tone Cardstock of Pixie!!  Then I pulled out my Pixie ink to create my own designer paper & stamped the border. 

I ADORE the NEW Bashful Shimmer Brush and it seems I can't create a project without using ONE of our three colors! :)  In the photo below, you can see the "shine" of the letters.  I love that the Bashful Shimmer Brush also brings in a "hint" of color....a perfect touch. :) 

To finish off the card, stamped the banner "Always" onto Bashful Cardstock, stamped a Charcoal colored arrow under "be Kind"...and added some gray enamel gems.

2017 Christmas Cardmaking Class with Krista :)

Our ANNUAL Christmas Card making day  is now called a Christmas Cardmaking Class  

I am EXCITED about this year’s event – as I will be running things a bit differently this year!

I know many of you were hoping the Christmas Card Day would continue, & I enjoy this day so much, that I couldn’t quite let it go either…so we will try a NEW way to create Christmas Cards together this year!!

 

We will be turning this into a Christmas Cardmaking Class! 

This event will take place on Sat., September 23^rd  and you will choose 1 of  2 times to come join me! Would you prefer to create your Christmas Cards in the morning or afternoon?

Our morning class will run from 8:30am-11:30am and the afternoon class will do from 1pm-4pm, Which one works best for you?

Come join me for a day of teaching and FUN as we create Christmas Cards together using our BRAND NEW stamp sets from the 2017-2018 Annual Inspirations Idea Book! The plan will be to create 8-10 cards during our time together. 

 

Attendees: Please bring along adhesives – your “regular” papercrafting glue…plus foam dots (3d foam tape), glue dots, etc…or I will have these items available for purchase if you need to purchase them.  You can also pack your “normal” scrapbooking items…scissors, ruler, pencil, paper piercer, etc.

****Another NEW SPECIAL – just for those that come to Christmas Card Day…

There will be a Mystery Hostess drawing for those in attendance that day!!

 For every $25 in product that is ordered, in the morning or afternoon, you will earn a ticket!!! 

PLUS….there will be other ways to earn tickets too (purchasing stamp of the months = 3 tickets, Sept special = 5 tickets, etc) !!

 

Then, on Monday, Sept 25 (once everyone has had a chance to decide on their goodies), we’ll be pulling names for winners to receive $30 of FREE CTMH goodies!!! Yes – there can (and most

likely WILL) be more than ONE $30 winner!!  The more tickets that are entered, the more people will WIN CTMH products!
