We have some BEAUTIFUL, new papers in the NEW Seasonal Expressions 1 (SE1) book & today I chose to use the Make Waves paper collection in this card.

I loved the color combo of the Make Waves paper collection, and chose to use this with TWO new stamp sets that are in the SE1 book too!!
  
I used the Gimme Some Sugar - Scrapbooking stamp set & the NEW Notes of Inspiration stamp....take a look at these FUN stamp sets!! 

 

My focus on creating this card was to use the NEW Thin Cuts- Basic Circle Tags.  Can you see where I used it on this card design? 

As I cut the Circle Tag from Bashful Glitter Paper...I realized I needed a circle mat for the inside of the circle to stamp the sentiment on.  Imagine MY DELIGHT when I learned that our Basic Circle Shape Thin Cuts fit PERFECTLY inside!! Yay!! 



 For my card design, I pulled out another BRAND NEW PRODUCT (one that I've been waiting to be released for a while!) ...the Make It From Your Heart, vol 4 CARDMAKING How-To-Book!! Wahoo!!  

I LOVE this new book & while there are fabulous card sketches inside - CTMH has made it even BETTER with the tips & techniques scattered throughout this book too!!  It's perfect! :) 

I used the Pansy Pigment ink, clear embossing powder & my heat tool  to make the wording "pop". :)  AND...do you see one more FUN, BEAUTIFUL, NEW product I used??

We now have a BASHFUL Shimmer Brush!!!!!  WAHOOOO!!!!

Notice the sparkle on the flower...and I colored the background of the word "Sparkly" with the Bashful Shimmer Brush too!! What FUN!!

July Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to our monthly

Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

Today we will be featuring July’s Stamp of the Month (SOTM), which is called “Sweet Life”, a set of 9 stamps.

Here is the card I created with this set…

 I’m not sure if I like this card yet, (it’s growing on me) J

however, with CTMH’s Convention taking place in Orlando this week (check out tomorrows blog post for some pictures of Convention), I didn’t have time to revamp or recreate another card. 

Let me share the main item I used in creating this card…

  

I wanted to use PIGMENT ink on this card…so, I used pigment ink on TWO different places on this card.

1. I used the Enchantment pigment ink set, to stamp the cherries in the center of the card.

I LOVE the 1” cube size of these inks!!!

You can ink up a small portions of the stamp images with multiple colors!

 I used the Ruby & Olive pigment ink cubes, and then took my watercolor pencils and blending pen to color in the image!

2. I also used colonial white pigment ink to stamp the cherries as the background image. I LOVE how pigment ink stays bright and bold when it is stamped. 

In this case, I wanted to tone the ink down a bit, so I used the Distressed Backgrounds stamp set (mesh image) to stamp over the cherry outline design.

Autumn Title Topper–with NEW products :)

Recently I was asked to create something for a Make N Take at a local crop.  What FUN!!!

The requirements were that it needed to be something that could be completed in 15 minutes…but would be something they could add to their scrapbook page. 

So… I thought I’d create a TITLE TOPPER for any of their fall scrapbook pages.  I was pleased with how this came out…and I was able to experiment with NEW products! J

There were a BUNCH of new items that came out in our last Idea Book that I still hadn’t played with – so NOW was my chance!!!

NEW ITEMS I used…

Pigment Inks

Color-Ready Arbor Wooden Shapes

and Burlap Ribbon 

The burlap ribbon I had already used quite often, and it’s become one of my favorites because there are SO many ways to use it!!

BUT – I hadn’t played with the pigment inks OR the wooden shapes. 

I was DELIGHTFULLY surprised with my results!!!

Check out what I learned!!!

 I inked up the leaves in different colors of the pigment inks as I was playing…and took a picture! J

Notice – the TOP ROW of shapes, 4 out of the 5 used the Harvest Happiness stamp set!!!  The MIDDLE shape, I tried our alcohol markers to color that in.

The BOTTOM ROW, I tried different techniques – and wrote my notes about what I did. J

I LOVED the pigments inks…they were WONDERFUL!!!  Such vibrant, beautiful colors…and it was so EASY and QUICK to quickly add ink to these wood shapes!!

 I also realized we had not ONE but TWO STAMP sets that COORDINATED with the Wooden Shapes!!!

If you look at the picture above of all my leaves once again…you will notice, SOME of the leaves were stamped with the images in the Harvest Happiness stamp set!  The sizes of the wooden leaves and stamped images MATCHED perfectly!  How QUICK & EASY!!!

I used our Make It From Your Heart how-to book- pattern # 5!! (LOVE this how-to book!!)

Some close up views…

The green leaf was cut with cardstock on the Cricut machine (then stamped with Harvest Happiness stamp set), but the other leaf and acorn are from our arbor wood shapes collection and I just swiped on the pigment ink - QUICK & EASY!!  

For the cap of the acorn, I used the Universal background stamp set (one of my FAVORITE stamps!)  to give it some texture. J

I used the So Grateful stamp set, and 2 colors of pigment inks- goldrush and honey – to create this pumpkin!!!




I was SO excited that the design of my stamp set came through so perfectly!  For the pumpkin stem, I took my 1” pigment cube, and swiped the NE Ivy color on very carefully.
