Close To My Heart sure knows how to create BEAUTIFUL stamp sets!!  I always have FUN creating with the fall colors....I know I'll use this stamp set quite often. 

Here is the card I will share with you today...

I used our Make It From Your Heart, vol 2 how-to-book to start on the card sketch.  I used pattern #20.  Then, I chose my paper...I used two different paper collections - both from our NEW Fundamentals paper line....Enchantment & Rustic Home.    

I stamped the pumpkin in TWO inks....the NEW Tangerine ink first, and then rolled the edges in Goldrush ink.  
Then I used my ShinHan alcohol markers to color the stem brown, and draw followed the Cricut cut shape to give some color to these images.  

Did you catch that?  This stamp set IS COMPATIBLE with our Artbooking Cricut Collection...Yay!!! I love when creating can be faster, simpler, easier...but still look beautiful!

A close up of the pumpkin shows you that I "shredded" the burlap ribbon, as "straw" for the pumpkin to sit on.  I also used our NEW Thin Cut HEARTS to bring in some added shimmer.

Convention gifts for our Disney 2016 Convention

One of the FUN things we do when we go to a Close To My Heart event, is create small gifts for our friends!

This year – I had four of my “Create 4 Him” team attending Convention with me….so I wanted to create a few special items for them.  I chose to make this journal, along with some other goodies too (which I will share later)

Here is the FUN journal I made….

The journal was on the CLEARANCE rack at Wal-mart….Taylor Swift was decorating the front & back cover.  Oh fun…a 50 cent notebook turned into a FABULOUS, useful journal!!!  

I had purchased a Disney Cricut cartridge 4 years ago, when CTMH first announced that we will be going to Disney for our Convention!!  I was glad I did –because we have now been attending a Disney location for the past 3 years, and I knew next year we wouldn’t be here again. 

While I used the Mickey ears for the front of this cover, that rest of the items are ALL from Close To My Heart!!   

The gray flower shape was on our Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge (retiring July 31, 2016 or while supplies last)  & was cut from our Paper Fundamentals paper.  This paper is so PRETTY with it’s glossyness (is that a word? LOL!)  on one side, and solid color on the other.  AND….we just found out that this product WILL BE RETIRING on July 31, 2016 OR while supplies last!! 

For the camera cut, I used the ARTBOOKING Cricut cartridge (will continue to be available)…the film border is from Close To My Heart’s ARTISTE Cricut – also due to retire July 31, 2016. I created 4 of these journals for my team members and 2 of them for my WONDERFUL team leaders (upline’s) Kathy & Joyce.

I also used CTMH’s Shimmer Trim, Enamel Hearts, and our MAGICAL paper collection!!

Next, I wanted to create a few goodies for some friends too….so I thought it would be “quick & easy” to cut & laminate some Mickey tags.  

Well, when you create 20 of them – it doesn’t fall into the “quick” section anymore – LOL….but they were quite easy & adored by those I gave them too.

For my Spa Girls – I added their names to these tags.  The other tags, were just a “plain” tag.  I also created some Mickey & Minnie tags…just for fun!  You can see Minnie Mouse tag above…I forgot to get a picture of the plain Mickey ones.  While I used the dotted side of this Magical paper for Minnie, I used the striped paper, for Mickey's tag.

I created some LARGE paper clips too – perfect to “hold the page” in their journals as we planned to take notes all during Covnention.  I also used these "mini mickey's"  as decorations on the front of their bags. 

AFTER I finished cutting out all the little Mickey ears…I realized I couldn’t throw away the leftover scraps!  So…why not create a bookmark too?!?!

As you can see – cutting apart of the black cardstock that had the Mickey ears cut out on, and spacing them on a Cranberry Cardstock….created quick & easy boomarks!! Wahoo!!!

July Special - Life is Wonderful SOTM card

Can you believe it??? 

  Only THREE more days until July 2015 leaves us behind!! :) 

It's AMAZING how quickly time flies, and today I wanted to share with you a fun card that I created using the SOON to be GONE July Stamp of the Month (SOTM) stamp set.  

For those of you who follow me on my Facebook Business Page, you may remember seeing pieces of this card on my table....and I was asking YOU about what paper collection I should use :) 

Well - Mary Lou mentioned Seaside, so even though I feel like I use the Seaside Collection all the time :)....I pulled it out and got to work!! LOL!!!

It had been a long time since I created a 5x7 size card....so I thought - let's go with that size, especially because we have a larger stamped image...I really like how it turned out!! 

I also wanted to use the Paper Fundamentals paper collection in this card...so I cut out a FRAME from our fabulous Artbooking Cricut Collection in the sorbet colored paper fundamentals, to add an extra shimmery touch. 

Did you know the patterns of these paper fundamentals are RETIRING??? 

Yes....these 4 Paper Fundamental color combination packs are WHILE SUPPLIES LAST or retiring August 31st - whichever comes first.   

The product line is NOT retiring - just the patterns on the papers :)...stay tuned on September 1st for the release of the beautiful NEW patterns in the Paper Fundamentals collection!! :) 

I stamped the words on black cardstock, using the white pigment ink.  The chalkboard look is all the rage these days....and I adore it. :) 

Then I decided, let's make that word "wonderful"...pop!  So, I stamped the word in Pear ink, onto Colonial White cardstock, trimmed it out...and added some 3d foam tape to give it the dimension I was looking for.  

Next, something quick & easy to add for embellishing.....PERFECT!!  My leftover "Stickease" (stickers) from the coordinating Seaside Complements collection!!

Then by adding a few gold sequins, a touch of glitter paper behind the Cricut cut frame, and a bow using the Black Striped Twill ribbon (while supplies last) we completed this card....for now. :)

The woodgrain frame is what caught my eye in this stamp set.  I thought ....why not use that "you're special" wording to create a baby card! J

Baby Card using 2 CTMH Cricut Cartridges! 

I chose to use a card base from our Artfully Sent Cricut collection.  I liked the wording at the bottom of the card, but knew I didn't need the scroll.  

So - I tried my hand at Design Space and took away the scrolls for this card design. Now...the scrolls were gone & I created my card design using our Wishes card how-to-book pattern called "Gallery".   

I used our Chalk It Up paper Collection for the background, and cut the ADORABLE giraffe from our Artbooking Cricut cartridge. He is cut from flaxen & sorbet cardstock colors.  

Did you notice the lagoon colored strip of paper?  I used our BEAUTIFUL paper fundamentals...this picture shows the glossy design that is pre-printed on this cardstock.
