I LOVE Close To My Heart’s

Christmas paper pack this year! 

I am a traditionalist, and enjoy the red, green colors of Christmas…but I also was quite DELIGHTED at how CTMH brought neutral tones into this paper pack as well! 

I was excited to create items using the Pear & Partridge paper pack and here are two items I created!!

When I host a home gathering, we always complete our evening together by creating a card.  

This is the card we have created at my most recent home gatherings…

I LOVE how this card turned out…but it was SO simple to create!!!

One of my new FAVORITE embellishments is our Silver Shimmer Ribbon – the BEST part…it’s ADHESIVE backed!!!!

I used page 65 in the Art Philosophy Cartridge to cut the bracket frames (rctngle 8)

 

I used the page 80 of the Artiste cartridge for the poinsettia flower.

(poinsettia flower sizes listed below)

I also used my go-to idea book – the Make It From Your Heart, vol. 1., pattern #27

  This book is used as my “starting point”…I can create so much FASTER, just by looking at the FUN sketches in this book!!!

I know not everyone enjoys card making J…so I also create a 2 page layout to show everyone at my parties.

I create the layout by using the card design we made at the party and incorporating that card into scrapbook pages!

I again used the MIFH how-to book and I used pattern #5.

Take a look at these poinsettias on the layout…

After cutting these from the Artiste cartridge, I took my bone folder and scored the center of each flower petal. I then inked the flowers in ruby ink.

How did I create the leaves?

They are the SAME flower shape as the poinsettias!!!!

I tore off 2 green points of my flower, and left 3 “leaves” to add to the bottom of my poinsettia flower!

Sizes I used to CREATE flowers…

Small Poinsettias

1 1/2” ruby cardstock

(2) 1 3/4” ruby cardstock

2” New England Ivy cardstock (leaves)

Large Poinsettias

2” ruby cardstock

2 1/2” ruby cardstock

(2) 2 3/4” ruby cardstock

3 1/4” New England Ivy (leaves)

For the finishing touches of the card, I added BROWN & TAN sparkles in the center of my flowers. I also sponged the edges in our new CASHMERE ink.

Martha Zook’s Card




This card was created using our Kraft Cardstock…I have been using Kraft Cardstock as a card base more and more!!  I love the rustic feel it brings to my creations.

Nickie Hoffer’s Card

I love this card design that Nickie came up with!  The tag circles, are popped up with 3D foam tape, and the tag shapes are cut from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge!!!

Brenda Rutt’s Card…

Gennette Feagan’s card -

This was a favorite by all during Card Making Day– lots of GLITZ and GLAM to make this a completely SPARKLY Christmas card!

Did you notice – it’s a postcard like card, where the band slides away from the actual card…

This card was completed by using the ARTISTE cartridge!!! LOVE how easy Artiste makes creating!!!

Open House details!

After preparing and preparing – my Open House debuting the NEWest items from Close To My Heart is now complete! K

It is sad…BUT looking back it was LOTS of fun!!!  We had a PACKED house on Thursday night – over 20 people in attendance! J Thanks to everyone that ventured out!!! Friday during the day was a success too – just not as many people here at one time – LOL!! 

I wanted to share our DOOR PRIZE WINNERS….and also thought you might like to take a trip around my house, in case you couldn’t join us!!!


Let’s start as you would enter the front door…

  I always have my Cash & Carry set up – since soo many of you want to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the retired items from CTMH.  I had a bunch of sale items too, retired ink colors for you to choose from and red slashed prices.  There was also a special BOGO stamp box that many of you took advantage of!!!



Across from the Cash & Carry…we had the make n take table.  We created a simple card, using the NEWEST products from CTMH!!!

Words of Comfort stamp set and Frame It Up stamp set – where ALL shapes coordinate with the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge – AMAZING!!!  Quick, easy and BEAUTIFUL!
.  Ink colors we used were Twilight, Olive and Slate.  Then everyone got to chose either licorice opaques, durables or black & grey sparkles to finish off their card design! 


For a quick easy envelope – we used part of the frame and stamped an olive flower to finish it off.  I LOVE the new Words of Comfort stamp set…it has wording PLUS little images!!!

Of COURSE we had a whole AREA set aside to show the MAGNIFICENT NEW Artiste Cricut Bundle!!!! 

Three ladies booked parties that evening, most of them because of this NEW cartridge!!
