Do you know how FABULOUS our Workshop Your Way (WYW) kits are at Close To My Heart??
Today, we are going to take a look at one of our beautiful kits!

Each paper suite on our Idea Books (catalogs) have a scrapbooking workshop kit we call "Workshops Your Way" (WYW). 

TODAY, we'll be taking a look at the "Tis the Season" kit and the beautiful pages you can create with the purchase of this kit! 

Here are the contents of this kit...

Each month, I host a Scrapbooking Class using a WYW kit....and, I try and put my own "spin" to the layouts of each kit.  

Here are the layouts as CTMH designed them, so pretty! 

With this particular WYW kit, some of my ladies, weren't crazy about the thick snowflakes that CTMH had added to the pages. 
SO... I improvised & used our AMAZING Winter Flurries Thin Cuts instead!!

I'll share each of the layouts below...the CTMH version & then my version...fun -FUN!!!

Layout 1

I changed out a few cardstock colors, as well as adding that gold shimmer trim...and those gold flecked gems finished off the Thin Cut snowflakes! 

Layout 2

Adding the gold Shimmer Trim to the top of the page, added just what I was looking for. 

I wish you could see the sparkle & shine the white glitter paper & gold foil embellishments give!!

Layout 3

I added another photo well on my layout & also chose to use the "JOY" glitter letters from my Tis the Season Complements pack! 
It was fun to cut the Snowflake in half...putting one piece on the outer edge of each page! 

Layout 4
This is a layout I often create "on my own"...but this time, I looked at our Deluxe WYW kit & took one of the layout designs from that kit....

I hadn't used colored Cardstock for my base page in a little bit...so I pulled out my coordinating cardstock from my Tis the Season cardstock pack & decided to use the Fern Cardstock.  It's AMAZING how this changes the look of the entire layout!!

What BEAUTIFUL pages these turned out to be....all ready for my photos!!

If you enjoy Creating & having the ideas already created for you....I highly suggest you give one of CTMH's WYW kits a try!!  They are always beautiful pages & you can even change things around a bit if their design isn't quite like you like.

  Did you know that CTMH released a BRAND NEW Seasonal Expression mini-book on Jan 1, 2018?  

Oh my...it's FILLED with beautiful products!!

Today, let's take a look at this layout I created from leftover scraps. :)  ....let's check it out! 

This layout design was taken from our Make It From Your Heart, vol 3 book - and is pattern #25. :) 

I was putting together the Chelsea Gardens WYW kit for my upcoming class, and wanted to create a 4th layout - with my leftover paper.  





Here is the layout that came from those "leftover" papers...

...a few things to note...

1. Please keep in mind, my ladies do NOT want to create the cards that are included in the WYW kits. So that means we don't cut the card pieces from the cutting guide.  Instead, we may choose to use that "extra" paper to create more layouts. :) 

2. We will often use White Daisy CS as our base page, not the B&T papers that CTMH suggests in the WYW instructions.

The NEW CREAM ribbon is BEAUTIFUL...

...and did you notice the "marbelized" gems that coordinate with the Chelsea Gardens collection? 

 These embellishments are all LEFTOVER pieces from the Workshop Your Way (WYW) kit!!  I think our stickers from the Complements pack are SO pretty...you can hardly tell they are stickers!!

Card Workshop - Anniversary & Thanks 12 card workshop!

I'm having a Friday morning Card Class in 2 weeks...who would like to join me?!?! 

I love that Close To My Heart, brought back the Cardmaking WYW kits a couple catalogs ago and wanted to incorporate them into monthly classes if we could! 

My FAVORITE card kit, in the NEW Seasonal Expression 2 mini-book is the one we'll be doing on Friday, May 19th at 9:30am at my home. 

It is called "Workshops Your Way Anniversary Cardmaking Kit".....well - I would call it something different ...but that's ok! 

This card kit creates 12 cards (with envelopes) AND we will be making THANK YOU cards as well as Anniversary cards!! The NEAT thing is....you can decide if you'd like to make them all "Thank yous" or maybe all "Anniversaries"...it's totally UP to you!!

Swan Lake WYW kit by CTMH

Have you ever tried Close To My Heart’s

Workshop Your Way kits?

We call them WYW for short…and they are FABULOUS kits that include all the products to create (3) sets of 12x12 pages, add on Pocket Plus pages, and 8-10 cards!  Wahoo!! An amazing kit!!  

Each kit comes with a Paper Collection, extra sheets of cardstock, coordinating Complements pack, and 1-2 different types of additional embellishments.

The directions, to complete these projects, are in a downloadable format, and can be found on my shopping website as you place that particular kit in your shopping cart!

Last week, I held my monthly scrapbooking class & we used the Swan Lake WYW kit!  What beautiful pages we created!!

This class chose to only make the 3 sets of layouts from the kit…but I had a surprise for them! By changing a few of the cutting directions,and adding 4 pieces of White Daisy cardstock, we were able to create a total of 4 sets of 12x12 layouts…..8 pages!!!

Let’s take a look at the pages we created….

Layout 1

Here is a close up of the “plastic” lettering that comes in the Swan Lake complements pack.  They are so light, and are just raised a bit to give some added dimension & texture to your creation!

Layout 2

Look at these BEAUTIFUL gold foil stickers that are included in the complement pack!!! Also our NEW shimmer black RIBBON….it adds so much!

Layout 3

This is the FUN page…or at least I think so! I really like the NEW product that CTMH released in August of this year…these Pocket PLUS protectors!!

These pages are little inserts that are added in between your two pages.  Our cut apart Picture My Life (PML) cards, that are included in our paper collections, fit PERFECTLY into these pockets!!

Layout 4- the layout I created with the leftover papers & I added 4 sheets of White Daisy Cardstock

So let's take a closer look….any guesses where the gold foil outlined hearts came from??

Well, it may seem a little silly ….but I couldn’t just throw away the outline of these gold foil hearts stickers!  

Scroll back up to layout 2…see the gold hearts? I used the heart stickers on that page, but then had the "leftover" outline shape of the hearts.  They were so pretty, and were gold foil, so I used my handy-dandy, non-stick, micro tip scissors, to fussy cut out these outlines & used them on the 4th layout!
