Do you know how FABULOUS our Workshop Your Way (WYW) kits are at Close To My Heart??
Today, we are going to take a look at one of our beautiful kits!

Each paper suite on our Idea Books (catalogs) have a scrapbooking workshop kit we call "Workshops Your Way" (WYW). 

TODAY, we'll be taking a look at the "Tis the Season" kit and the beautiful pages you can create with the purchase of this kit! 

Here are the contents of this kit...

Each month, I host a Scrapbooking Class using a WYW kit....and, I try and put my own "spin" to the layouts of each kit.  

Here are the layouts as CTMH designed them, so pretty! 

With this particular WYW kit, some of my ladies, weren't crazy about the thick snowflakes that CTMH had added to the pages. 
SO... I improvised & used our AMAZING Winter Flurries Thin Cuts instead!!

I'll share each of the layouts below...the CTMH version & then my version...fun -FUN!!!

Layout 1

I changed out a few cardstock colors, as well as adding that gold shimmer trim...and those gold flecked gems finished off the Thin Cut snowflakes!

Adding the gold Shimmer Trim to the top of the page, added just what I was looking for. 

I wish you could see the sparkle & shine the white glitter paper & gold foil embellishments give!!

Layout 3

I added another photo well on my layout & also chose to use the "JOY" glitter letters from my Tis the Season Complements pack! 
It was fun to cut the Snowflake in half...putting one piece on the outer edge of each page! 

Layout 4
This is a layout I often create "on my own"...but this time, I looked at our Deluxe WYW kit & took one of the layout designs from that kit....

I hadn't used colored Cardstock for my base page in a little bit...so I pulled out my coordinating cardstock from my Tis the Season cardstock pack & decided to use the Fern Cardstock.  It's AMAZING how this changes the look of the entire layout!!

What BEAUTIFUL pages these turned out to be....all ready for my photos!!

If you enjoy Creating & having the ideas already created for you....I highly suggest you give one of CTMH's WYW kits a try!!  They are always beautiful pages & you can even change things around a bit if their design isn't quite like you like.

What a CUTE stamp set!! Check out the card I created today. 

While I think the girl in this stamp set is adorable & the main focus ;)...I thought I'd try and create something using other images in this stamp set collection.  
I started out by looking through our Make It From Your Heart, vol 3 How-To-Book, and decided to use pattern #2.  

The paper I used to create this card, comes from the BRAND NEW "Fresh Air" collection.  This outdoorsy paper collection just called my name! 

It needed some "shimmer & shine"....so I added some gold glitter gems & gold glitter paper....lovely!! 

I also choose to use some GOLD ribbon...and guess what?  

This RIBBON (along with a LOT of other ribbon) is also on SALE THIS MONTH at Close To My Heart!! Wahoo!! Who LOVES sales?!?! Make sure to check with your consultant to learn more!! 

Take notice of the top part of the card....do you see it?

I took some of the designer paper from the Fresh Air collection & used our embossing folder to indent the paper!  This leaf folder is STILL available, and can be found under the "Going Soon" section of your consultants website. :)

I also decided to emboss the apple basket image....to do this, I used my nutmeg pigment ink, stamped it on the Linen colored cardstock, & then sprinkled clear embossing powder over it.  I used my heat tool to set the powder & this made a GREAT coloring base to use the ShinHan markers. 

ShinHan markers used were...Carmine, Sap Green, Clay, Mahogany & Colorless Blender marker.

Guest Designer at Atlantic Hearts this week!

Hello to each one of you!   What a honor & privilege it was to be asked to be the guest designer at the Atlantic Heart’s Sketch Challenge this week. Thank you Michelle for asking me!  

This week, we had the challenge to create with Sketch #183

I was excited to give it a try!!

Here’s the card I created this week.

My card creation began, knowing that I wanted to use the stamp set Lovely Leaves.  My plan was to create a fall card….LOL…oh well, I’ll have to save that for next time, because this is what my card turned out to be.  

Isn’t it so amazing how we “think” we’ll create something, and our hands totally do something totally different than we image?  The fun & Joy of creating!  

I always enjoy adding texture to the background of the card…and so I ran my Sea Glass cardstock through my embossing machine. 

This time, I also wanted to do some Heat embossing, and gold embossing seemed to be the perfect fit. What FUN it was to pull out my craft heater once again…it may take a little extra time, but it’s so worth the final results.

Did you take notice of the paper I embossed the leaves on?  Guess which paper collection that design is from? 

Ok..I’ll tell you…it’s from our halloween paper collection – Jeepers Creepers!!  You really CAN use CTMH’s papers for any occasion!!

I wanted to find the perfect wording for this card.  It needed to be “script” (in my mind) and it needed to be small enough to fit at the bottom of the card…and that led me to our beautiful NEW stamp set – Pretty Poinsettia…take a look.
