I ADORE the Thin Cut Bundles & am SO EXCITED they are discounted this month at Close To My Heart!!

Did you know there are 4 stamp sets that are EXCLUSIVELY bundled for THIS month only???

Check out the four EXCLUSIVE sets below....

So..what are Thin Cuts?
Thin Cuts are metal dies that you use to cut shapes, images or words!
You will need to use the metal dies in a Cuttlebug machine, or another similar cutting/embossing machine.

Today I'll be showing you a sample of a THIN CUT BUNDLE...where you receive the Stamp set & the coordinating set of Thin Cuts to cut out most of your stamped images on the stamp set!

Please keep in mind, that you can purchase just a Thin Cut, with no included stamp set.  There are words - basic shapes, etc...and you'll want to check out ALL of the items included in the SALE by checking with your CTMH consultant OR by clicking HERE.
------------------------------------------------------------------

My FAVORITE Thin Cut bundle - is this beautiful "Swirly Seashell" collection.
Normally, the retail price of this double collection would be $31.95....however - THIS MONTH with the 25% discount - the cost is ONLY $23.96....WAHOOO!!!

I created this card using our Whimsy Fundamentals paper collection...let's check out the details for the card I created for today :)

I chose to use TWO types of embossing on this piece....dry embossing - with the Chevron 5x7 embossing folder & Heat embossing - using the heat tool & gold embossing powder.

By stamping my seashells with Versamark ink on the colored cardstock, sprinkling it with gold embossing powder & heat setting it....I created already "colored in" seashells!
How BEAUTIFUL these seashells turned out!  If only you could see them in person. :)

The sentiment, sending smiles,  comes from the stamp set that's included in the Flower Market Cricut bundle.

The ribbon comes from the Whimsy Fundamentals collection, and is one of five designs you would receive in this ribbon pack.

Here's a bit better of a photo, where you can see the light reflecting off of the gold embossed images...so pretty!!

I hope you enjoyed this card , and now it's time to "Hop" on over to Michele's  Blog to see her amazing work!

Guest Designer at Atlantic Hearts this week!

Hello to each one of you! Smile  What a honor & privilege it was to be asked to be the guest designer at the Atlantic Heart’s Sketch Challenge this week. Thank you Michelle for asking me! Smile

This week, we had the challenge to create with Sketch #183
2016-10-24 guest designer for the week 14397961_790049744469202_1724285981_n
I was excited to give it a try!!

Here’s the card I created this week.
Atlantic Hearts sketch - guest designer - glitter hearts DSC_3126
My card creation began, knowing that I wanted to use the stamp set Lovely Leaves.  Lovely Leaves stampMy plan was to create a fall card….LOL…oh well, I’ll have to save that for next time, because this is what my card turned out to be. Smile

Isn’t it so amazing how we “think” we’ll create something, and our hands totally do something totally different than we image?  The fun & Joy of creating! Smile

I always enjoy adding texture to the background of the card…and so I ran my Sea Glass cardstock through my embossing machine.

This time, I also wanted to do some Heat embossing, and gold embossing seemed to be the perfect fit. What FUN it was to pull out my craft heater once again…it may take a little extra time, but it’s so worth the final results. Did you take notice of the paper I embossed the leaves on?  Guess which paper collection that design is from?

Ok..I’ll tell you…it’s from our halloween paper collection – Jeepers Creepers!!  You really CAN use CTMH’s papers for any occasion!!

pretty pointsettia stamp 5cb89378-56ca-4c72-a189-ae1e1959aa05I wanted to find the perfect wording for this card.  It needed to be “script” (in my mind) and it needed to be small enough to fit at the bottom of the card…and that led me to our beautiful NEW stamp set – Pretty Poinsettia…take a look.

Now it’s YOUR turn! Smile  Head on over to the Atlantic Heart Sketch Challenge & join in the fun!!  I look forward to seeing what you created with Sketch #183 Smile

Thanks for stopping by, and blessings to each of you for a wonderful day!

Paper Birds stamp ONLY $5

The card I created today uses a bunch of items that will be retiring in just over 1 month!  I will miss some of these beautiful items – but we ALL know that when Close To My Heart lets something go…..they never fail to bring in BEAUTIFUL products to replace what is “lost”! Smile

Today I used one of my favorite “Hostess Only” stamp sets – Paper Birds –  to create this card.
Here is the card….
Paper Birds card_blossom-fundamentals-2015-7
I went straight to my go-to how-to book for the card design (Make It From Your Heart vol. 2, pattern 23).

I decided to ink the butterfly in Desert Sand, and then took a sponge dauber & added some Lagoon ink to the outside edges PRIOR to stamping the butterfly on cardstock and cutting it out. I adore the effect this technique has on this image. Smile

Did you notice the BEAUTIFUL Paper Fundamentals paper?

I LOVE this product line of CTMH!!  I chose to use the glossy side of this cardstock – and pulled from the colors of Sorbet & Lagoon.  While these Paper Fundamentals are on the retiring list  – I will say that the product line is not going away Smile…but rather…. starting September 1st – they will all have new patterns in these designs.

So, if you enjoy the patterns you see here, you may want to head over to my website & make sure you get a pack of these before they are gone!! (click here to learn MORE about our Paper Fundamental line. )

For the other half of the card, I used our Floral Dry 5x7 Embossing folder and ran it through my Cuttlebug machine to impress this beautiful floral pattern!  Doesn’t it add a nice, subtle touch?  Smile

Joyful Stars Blog Hop- Huntington

Welcome to our monthly
Joyful Stars Blog Hop!!!!
We're excited to share our creativity with you using our favorite Close To My Heart products!

THIS MONTH we will be sharing items using our “NEWEST PRODUCTS”  that were just released on AUGUST 1st and ONLY available through Close To My Heart!!

This blog hop is easy to do…just click on the link at the end of the post to go to the next creation!!

If you have arrived from Lori’s blog you are right on track.

Today I will be sharing with you items using the NEW Huntington paper pack & sharing one of our NEW Designed Décor frames!!
Frame-burlap_designed decor display DSC_2255
If you missed my most recent blog post (giving you details on my Autumn/corn cob card) you may want to CLICK HERE to check it out. J

I LOVE that CTMH now carries FRAMES…and we have TWO different designs!!  I enjoy creating artwork, but the displaying of the artwork is part of sharing too! J

The frame that I have shown here is our Colonial White Frame with our chicken wire backing…I added the Burlap backing.  To add the burlap – I cut a piece of cardboard, purchased some burlap in a roll…and stapled the burlap to the cardboard! J That way I can change out the burlap when another season comes around!

I am going to share the details of one card today…but feel free to return to my blog over the next couple of weeks to learn details on the  the other cards AND other items using new product that I created recently!!

Alright – let’s get started! J
Let’s take a look at this 5x7 card…
Give thanks_Huntington stickease_dry embossing_liquid glass cardDSC_2258I used the pattern called “Framed Message” on pg. 107, from our ORIGINALS how-to book  to get my creative juices flowing.

I really like how this card turned out – especially since there is NO STAMPING on this card!!!  That’s right J– everything you see is paper, sticker or embellishment!!!

So, let’s take a closer look….
Give thanks_Huntington stickease_close up liquid glass cardDSC_2258
I LOVE our “My Stickease” collections.

They are BEAUTIFUL stickers all by themselves, OR it’s fun to “dress them up” too!!

In this case, I added a little extra to the My Stickease.  A touch of Liquid Glass to the flowers adds SO MUCH!!!  Did you also notice  the dots of  liquid glass on designer Huntington paper???  I dry embossed lines over top of the designer paper and then ALSO dry embossed diamonds on the Barn Red cardstock base.

The Stickease that has the “Give thanks…” I inked the edges, and used some of our FABULOUS 3D foam tape (I call myself “Foam tape Queen”J ) to give it that extra “pop”.
I wanted to use some of our NEW Sarita Textiles…so I tried my hand at pleated some of our coordinating fabric.

PLEASE…do not look at my sewing – LOL!  I am not a seamstress by any means, but I was pretty excited with how this “border” turned out.
Give thanks_Huntington stickease_card_pleated fabric DSC_2258
The embellishments that I added come from our NEW Rosewood Mini-medley collection – I LOVE this new antique color that will coordinate with SO MANY THINGS!!!

One last item to take note of…you will not find a plaid scallop border on the Huntington Stickease sheet. J  So…I made my own scallop border!!

You’ll want to make sure to check out our NEW Scallop Border Punch – you can alter so many things…from stickease, paper, shimmer trim and MORE!!

It’s AMAZING how many details can be apart of ONE card…and with NO STAMPING! J
Here’s a final look at the card….

Now hop on over to Nickie’s blog to see what amazing artwork she has created this month!!  Happy Hopping and we’ll see you next month!!

Blessings to you for a BEAUTIFUL day!!!
