Autumn Glitter Leaf Card~ 3rd card

Today I will be sharing with you the details for the 3rd card, created with our Huntington paper pack!!

Come on in, and let’s take a closer look at our 3rd Autumn card! 

This card pattern came from our Wishes how-to book.  It is called the “Gallery” pattern.  I LOVE using our How-To books!!  Using them takes away the extra time it takes to come up with the card design!

I wanted to have some “texture” added to this card - so to do that, I sanded the edges of my papers.  I LOVE that with ALL Close To My Heart paper is “white cored” paper.  That means that our paper has a white middle!!

You can use the paper just like it is (without exposing the white core) OR make that white shine through by sanding it, edge distressing it or a variety of other ways!

I then used the Sarita Textiles to tie a ribbon on this card.

I love the Goldrush colored fabric that comes in this pack!!

  To carry over the distressed look of the card, I frayed the edges of my Sarita fabric.

Next, I cut out this BEAUTIFUL leaf with the new Artbooking Cartridge., by using the B key.

 

I found that when I cut out the “front” of the leaf with cardstock and BACK it with our Brown/Tan Glitter paper, it adds an AMAZING effect to the card!!

Are you wondering where the word “Autumn” came from?  The word autumn was cut off one of our fabulous zip strips!!

Zip strips are 1/2” strip at the top of all of our designer paper packs!!  I love the little “extras” we receive when purchasing CTMH products!

The tab that the word autumn is on, comes form the Huntington My Stickease pack.

  There are so many beautiful stickers that can be used just as they are OR why not add a bit of ink or glitz glitter gel  to take them up a notch!  J

I believe that completes the details for our 3rd Autumn card!

I’m SO EXCITED…part 2!

If you are joining me again and are curious about the rest of the artwork I submitted to corporate…keep on reading!!!

Today I will be sharing the 2 page layout I submitted to Close To My Heart as part of my application to teach at Convention this year.

I had a LOT of fun, adding many details to these pages! 

Let’s take a closer look at all the different aspects of this layout! J

I wanted to add some “texture” to the base pages of this layout…

To do that, I used our NEW stamp set Distressed Backgrounds. I took the mess like stamp, and inked it up in Lagoon colored ink, and stamped it on top of my Lagoon colored base pages!!

Do you see the dots also on the base page???  I sprayed these pages with a spray pen that was filled with re-inker, pearl paint and water!!  I LOVE the effect this gives the project!!

For the title, I used the Artiste Cricut Cartridge font for the “fun”, but chose to use our NEW Keyboard Kraft Alphabet letter stickers for the word “Beach”.

Next, I created my journaling tag…

by using the Artiste Cricut Collection, I created my own pocket for journaling AND a card to stick inside!!!

Check out all that you can do with the “U” button of the Artiste Cartridge!! 

On this journaling tag, I also used the Tropical Paradise stamp set, and the Wooden mini-medley collection to add some color and texture.

My FAVORITE part of the layout, is this sun!!!

It’s almost embarrassing to tell you how simple it was to create!! J Believe it or not, this sun is part of the My Stickease collection that coordinates with this Surf’s Up paper pack!!!

I will often use MY STICKEASE in my creation….and I love to “doctor up” these sticker images!!! 

For the clouds, I sponged the edges in ink. 

The sun, I used 3D foam and “popped” it up.  I also used the twine that comes in the Wooden Mini-medley asst pack and some liquid glass to make sure my twine stayed twirled.  Then I took some of our glitz glitter gel to add some sparkle to my beautiful sunshine!!

This layout gets me excited for our upcoming summer!  I LOVE to feel the sunshine on my face, and am so relaxed by the beating of the waves on the sand….I can hardly wait! J

Love Your Layout–with Studio J!

Would you like to learn how to embellish on your Studio J page with our fabulous My Stickease across BOTH pages, 

making it appear as it is ONE sticker? 

I was taught this technique at a recent class held by CTMH!!!  Here is my layout where I put My Stickease on BOTH sets of my Studio J pages and it looks like ONE sticker!!! 

I LOVE the fact that when I am creating in Studio J, I will NEVER run out of stickers?!  J

I enjoy these videos, as it seems I learn something NEW every time I watch them!!!  I’m amazed at how FAST & EASY it is to create these pages…and each time the finished copies arrive on my doorstep – I am even more amazed at how BEAUTIFUL they are!
