It's starting to feel like fall here in Pennsylvania, and it's getting me in the mood to create with fall colors! 

Close to My Heart also has a FUN, Fabulous September too!!  So...I had to create a card using a few of our NEWEST items that were released on Sept 1st...take a look! 
  

  

September is National Stamping Month...and that means we CELEBRATE here at CTMH! 

The special is called "Share the Season" and the BEST deal is when you purchase the entire BUNDLE and save 30%!!

The stamp sets are ADORABLE!!! :) (and they can be purchased separately ;) )

I love the "clip" stamp that is included in this set.  It makes the perfect base for a sentiment. 

I splattered the background of the kraft cardstock, with watercolor paint.  The binder clip was stamped in Espresso and then I used the NEW color - Paprika- for the word thanks. :) Fern was the color I used to stamp the leaves.  

Look at those ADORABLE pumpkins! :) If you look closely, you'll see the lighter pumpkins are colored with our gold shimmer brush....sparkle is so much fun!! 

I ADORE the stitched square frame Thin Cut (metal die) that is included in this special!! 

For this card, I chose to not use the entire die...but just use half of it!  A fun "twist" and another way to use this die set!   

I tucked some of our BRAND NEW Hawthorn paper underneath this cut.....so fun!!

Close To My Heart has done it again!!
  
Our TWO,  NEW Idea Books are FILLED with BEAUTIFUL papers, embellishments & products!! It was hard to choose what items to create with, but I decided to use the rugged, fall-like "Hawthorn" collection. ;) 

Here we go!

The"Hawthorn" papers are a FAVORITE this time around! 

The ruggedness, the beautiful Autumn colors.....they are so "handsome!" :)  Take a peek at this beautiful collection....

This Layout design, came from our CTMH studio!  You'll find that I did make a few changes, but this layout is copied off the sample project shown on page 48 of the Sept/Oct mini catalog. 

I used 3 different stamp sets in this creation..and YES...they are all BRAND NEW stamp sets too!  

  FIRST----take a look at the smaller splatters.
Those splatters came from our NEW Julep colored Shimmer Brush!!
If ONLY you could see the fun shine & sparkle those droplets show off in person!! 
By laying your base page inside a box....and then tapping the shimmer brush on the edge of your finger ---while holding over blank paper....you get a droplet effect on the top part of the page!! 

NEXT ---- You can see all THREE stamp sets used, in this close up photo above!!

Hawthorn - Scrapbooking stamp set & Thin Cut bundle

  Take a look at the last stamp set above...Hawthorn Scrapbooking.  There are so many FUN stamps in this collection & I especially like the "plaid" stamp! 

Take a look at this photo above, and you'll notice I created my own plaid border! (top left & right of photo!) 
  I used Toffee ink & stamped it on the dark side of the Saffron Cardstock to create my own patterned paper. 

Of course...the LEAVES are pretty neat too ;) 
I used Espresso, Saffron, Paprika (NEW color!)  & Sangria (NEW color!)  inks to achieve these colors! 

In the background, I "tapped" my NEW Julep shimmer brush onto the background (if ONLY you could see the shimmer in the photo!!) 
----AND ----
I ALSO stamped in SAGE ink, the images from Strokes of an Artist.  I always LOVE these background stamps....the splatters here & there on a page...add just the right touch! 

Finally, let's take a look at our title.  I stamped the words in Espresso...and then pulled out my sponge to darken the edges of this title too!!

Today - SEPTEMBER 1st -- is a pretty exciting day in "Close To My Heart Land". It's the day that our TWO new Idea Books are released!! Woot!! Woot!!

Let's take a peek at the cards I created today AND you'll get the opportunity to see some BEAUTIFUL new products!!

Here are my cards...   

I found today's card design...in our Make It From Your Heart (MIFYH), vol 4 --- pattern #1. If you follow me here or on my other social media accounts, you KNOW that these How-To books are one of my FAVORITES things that we carry at CTMH! 

Let's talk about this NEW paper collection!!  We call it "Every Little Thing" and it SURE is a BEAUTY!!  

Do you see that PRETTY green color in this paper pack? 
I'd like to INTRODUCE to you our "Color of the Year" --- Julep!

You will find this color intermixed with many of our items & you also find things ALL Julep too...here's a peek!

Ok...back to the card...and DETAILS!!  

 
There are a LOT of things NEW in this photo above!!

1. Vellum Diecuts
2. Spectrum Noir Triblend Alcohol Markers
3. Shimmer Brushes -- Julep & Wisteria
4. Every Little Thing paper pack  

You'll want to make SURE to contact your CTMH Consultant to get your hands on the NEW Idea books....there are so MANY beautiful things inside of them!

In the butterfly above, I also used the Black Shimmer brush for the body of this insect. 

I used a piece of our Black Shimmer Trim to give this card a bit of sparkle.  If you "know" our shimmer trims, you may notice it's a bit skinnier than what our shimmer trim usually is. 

It's an easy fix & one you'll need your paper trimmer for.

I put a SMALL amount of adhesive on the base of my paper trimmer.  Lay the shimmer trim in the middle of the lines....and pull my shimmer trim "taunt" for the entire 12 inches. 

Next, I'll close the cutting guide...and make sure my blade is resting in the MIDDLE of the shimmer trim. 

When it's all ready to go...ta-da!!  Cut ...and you'll now have 2 SKINNY pieces of Shimmer Trim!
