How ADORABLE is this stamp set??  

Here is the card I created today using images from this stamp.

The butterfly "drew me" when I first looked at this set & I wanted to create with them! I recently saw a multi-window card by a fellow consultant, Tammy Winter, and she inspired me to use this multi-window & create a SOTM card in a similar design.   

TODAY, July 1st, is the debut of our July/August Mini Idea Book here at CTMH --- and that means TONS of GORGEOUS new products were JUST released!!  Everything is NEW & so Exciting!! 

Instead of choosing one of our NEW paper suites to work with, I decided to use the LOVELY Mix In papers ...take a look 

I chose to use the papers that had the kraft & smoothie tones in them and started cutting my 1 1/4 inch squares, to place behind the Multi Square grid. 
By the way -- this Thin-Cut, is a fabulous one! 

AND...do you see the Kraft Stitched rectangle around the outside of the card??  

If you like the multi-square window Thin cut, you'll want to MAKE SURE & know that our Rectangle Stitched Frames fit PERFECTLY around the outside of the card to give it a finishing touch!
Look closely -- the gray image -- is a skinny frame...

BUT...

the White stitched part -- is actually a LARGE, solid rectangle to use on the front of a card base!

I ADORE the stitched look & how it's so subtle, but yet adds so much to the card design! 

Take a look at the flowers inside a few of the squares....yes, they are stamped!!

Where did they come from?? 

Did you notice the ADORABLE small images in this stamp set!?!  

  Here is a closer look at those butterflies! Have I told you lately how much I LOVE our CTMH Shimmer Brushes? If not -- let me give our a SHOUT OUT to them again!! 

I used the Toffee & Peach Shimmer Brushes to color in my butterfly ---and some EXCITING news---TODAY, NEW colors of Green Apple & Lemonade Shimmer Brushes were released to everyone!!  

I finished up my card with Gold Glitter Gems, Gold Embellishing thread & taking my Peach Shimmer Brush & swiping it through the sentiment for a little extra sparkle & shine.

Close To My Heart has done it again!!
  
Our TWO,  NEW Idea Books are FILLED with BEAUTIFUL papers, embellishments & products!! It was hard to choose what items to create with, but I decided to use the rugged, fall-like "Hawthorn" collection. ;) 

Here we go!

The"Hawthorn" papers are a FAVORITE this time around! 

The ruggedness, the beautiful Autumn colors.....they are so "handsome!" :)  Take a peek at this beautiful collection....

This Layout design, came from our CTMH studio!  You'll find that I did make a few changes, but this layout is copied off the sample project shown on page 48 of the Sept/Oct mini catalog. 

I used 3 different stamp sets in this creation..and YES...they are all BRAND NEW stamp sets too!  

  FIRST----take a look at the smaller splatters.
Those splatters came from our NEW Julep colored Shimmer Brush!!
If ONLY you could see the fun shine & sparkle those droplets show off in person!! 
By laying your base page inside a box....and then tapping the shimmer brush on the edge of your finger ---while holding over blank paper....you get a droplet effect on the top part of the page!! 

NEXT ---- You can see all THREE stamp sets used, in this close up photo above!!

Hawthorn - Scrapbooking stamp set & Thin Cut bundle

  Take a look at the last stamp set above...Hawthorn Scrapbooking.  There are so many FUN stamps in this collection & I especially like the "plaid" stamp! 

Take a look at this photo above, and you'll notice I created my own plaid border! (top left & right of photo!) 
  I used Toffee ink & stamped it on the dark side of the Saffron Cardstock to create my own patterned paper. 

Of course...the LEAVES are pretty neat too ;) 
I used Espresso, Saffron, Paprika (NEW color!)  & Sangria (NEW color!)  inks to achieve these colors! 

In the background, I "tapped" my NEW Julep shimmer brush onto the background (if ONLY you could see the shimmer in the photo!!) 
----AND ----
I ALSO stamped in SAGE ink, the images from Strokes of an Artist.  I always LOVE these background stamps....the splatters here & there on a page...add just the right touch! 

Finally, let's take a look at our title.  I stamped the words in Espresso...and then pulled out my sponge to darken the edges of this title too!!

I ADORE one of our current paper packs named True Love.  The colors are "mine" :) and I love the stripes included in these patterns too!  I will be sharing 2 cards with you today...To get started....let's take a look at these two cards below. 
  

I think one of the "hardest" things in any creating...is coming up with the pattern or design.  Well I have to say...."Never Fear.....Close to My Heart is here!" :)  

I LOVE the many ways CTMH makes this deciding faster, simpler, easier!!  
Today's cards, were card designs from a current Workshops Your Way (WYW) cardmaking kit. 

Take a look at the original card ...and how CTMH art department designed it...

I took CTMH's original design...and just turned my pieces around to create a different look! 
Do you see the similarities of their card...to my 2 cards??? 

I love, LOVE our WYW kits!!! Another perk to these card kits (besides getting NEW card patterns) is the EXCLUSIVE stamp set that is included in this kit!!

Take a look at the "Thinking of You" (True Love) Cardmaking WYW kit....

This stamp set is a GREAT one, that will be used again and again.

Let's take a few close up looks. ;) 

I used the "splatter" re-inker technique to get the eggplant colored dots in the background. 
How FUN to create your own background...and get a different design each and every time!! :) 

The flowers were stamped in Eggplant ink, and then colored in with our Sugarplum Shimmer Brush....so pretty!! 

I also decided to add gold Shimmer Trim to this card....I love a little sparkle & shine! 

Here's a close up look at the second card design....

I colored the flowers, the same way as I did for the first one.  
For that adorable tissue box...I stamped the tissue box onto the card base....and then stamped it again onto Sugarplum Cardstock (which is included in the kit) and cut out the box part.  

This tissue box, comes from the NEW "Get Well Soon" stamp set....How cute!! 

The Eggplant colored scalloped border, comes from the EXCLUSIVE stamp set included in the Workshops Your Way cardmaking kit!!

The NEW Seasonal Expression 2 Idea Book is just FILLED with BEAUTIFUL papers, embellishments & products!! It was hard to choose what items to create with, but I decided to use the rugged "Into the Wild" collection. ;) 

Here is the card I wanted to share with you today...

The"Into the Wild" papers are a FAVORITE this time around! 

The ruggedness, the grays, blues & greens.....they are so "handsome!" :)  Take a peek at this beautiful collection....

For the card design...I started by using our Make It From Your Heart vol 4 How-To book. While I did change up the design a bit....it is amazing how these GREAT pattern books are so helpful in getting the ideas rolling in my head! :) 

  I decided to stamp the mountain with Charcoal ink, on top of the Fancy tag that I cut in Mink CS.

Also...do you see the New England Ivy scalloped circle?

This circle is actually a TAG cut from this same Thin Cut collection!!!

  While these "Fancy Tags" aren't NEW items from the Idea Book....these are definitely a STAPLE item in my craft area at all times!! 

In case you have noticed them before, check out this AMAZING set!!

Let's talk about the Wooden Shapes on this card.  

I used a solid tree...but as I was making multiples of this card design, I did try using an "open" tree too!!  I'll include both pictures below...and you can decide which one you like better. :)

These wood shapes are so FUN & there are a LOT of different designs that come in one bag!! :) 

The NEW stamp set I used on my card. 

 It's called "The Scenic Route"...take a peek...

You probably notice the RED LINES on this stamp set....who knows what this "extra" addition means? 

Yes...you got it!! Anytime you see the red lines on a stamp set, you know that one of Close To My Heart's EXCLUSIVE Cricut collections coordinate with this stamp set!!  In this case...the Artbooking Cricut collection will coordinate with many shapes in this set. 

If you'd like to recreate this card on your own...I've included the "recipe" of the list of items I used for my card. :)
