Today, I'll be showcasing the 1 page make n take that I created for my September all-day crop! :)  Let's take a look! 

I was VERY excited with how this page turned out, & YES...I will be creating a 2nd page for it ;)....I just haven't taken the time to create that yet! ;)  The pattern design came from our NEW Make It From Your Heart - vol 3 collection!!  This is pattern #13. 

At this year's Sept All-Day Crop, this page was a FREE make n take for those that attended! :)  It's always a FUN day of creating together, and what a FUN, added BONUS this page added to their day! :)  

As I was creating, I wanted to use new products from Close To My Heart - because our crop was my DEBUTING event of the NEW Holiday Expressions mini -book.  
What FUN!!!

The first NEW goodie I wanted to use...was the BEAUTIFUL stamp set called "Oh Snap!".  Take a look....

Oh this stamp set just caught my eye...so many fun images in this stamp set!!  I just HAD to use, that adorable camera...so after stamping it in our NEW Nutmeg color, I decided it needed some sparkle, to make that flash shine :)  So...out came the gold foil paper AND the Gold Shimmer Brush!! 

Next, I wanted a title for the page.  I REALLY liked our new "Together" thin cut die....so I cut that out of NUTMEG cardstock. 

AND...as I continued to look at the title, I REALIZED that the word "life" in the stamp set -had a VERY similar font to the thin cut die!! Why not create the title "life together"?  Oh WOW!!  Yay for a brainstorm!! LOL!! ;) 

Did you take notice of the embossed leaves at the bottom of the photo?  I used our  BEAUTIFUL, NEW, Leaves Embossing Folder!!  It's perfect for this time of year!  

If you click on the picture & zoom in....let me share another tip with you regarding these leaves :) :) 

I was DETERMINED to emboss my leaves, & that they remained facing upright....and the leaves wouldn't turn & be impressed sideways.  


Hmmm, I had to think awhile HOW was I going to do this with our 5x7 embossing folder?? 

(I included this photo, to help you see what I mean ;) )

 I LOVE that there is a slit in the top of all of our 5x7 folders, allowing us to create a 4x 12 strip of embossed paper if we'd like....but the way the leaf images were placed on this embossing folder...I could emboss the horizontal strip with the leaves going sideways.  

So...I got to thinking....why not cut a 10" long strip of paper - and fold it in half and run it through the embossing machine???  

I did this....and then inked up the leaves with our NEW Almond ink color!  The ink color really helped to blend it together, so you don't notice the "impressing" and "depressing" of the 2 different  embossed images! :)  

When you look at this close up photo - you CAN see the difference, but looking at the layout once again, it blends right together & no one will know that they are different. :)  Oh the FUN of creating!!!

Gone Hunting birthday card

Hello to you! Do you ever need a card, and need it quickly?

Well, that was my dilemma for the day & I had to create something quick so I could get it sent out to our oldest son who is living in Colorado.  His birthday is right around the corner!!

Isaac loves being outdoors, and just finished a hunting trip with his dad (my hubby) as they went hunting for elk.  Well – CTMH did VERY well with the masculine stamp sets this season….so I pulled out TWO stamp sets for the card I created.

Here is the finished card…

The NEW stamp set that I used is called “Gone Hunting”…check out these FABULOUS D-size stamp set!!




This stamp set is from our current Holiday Expressions mini-book…and will ONLY be available until Dec 31, 2017 OR While supplies last!! 




I also used the “other” outdoor stamp set, that is shown in the 2017-2018 Annual Inspirations Idea book. 



Take a look at the “Hunting for Words” stamp set….I pulled the words – happy birthday – from this set, as it fit PERFECT next to the elk on my card.



I wanted to use more than just the elk image on the card, so I pulled in some paper from our Falling For You collection & also stamped some of the gun images in Almond ink, as part of the background.

AND…in case you didn’t think you could use PEARLS on a guy card , think again! LOL!!

I hope you enjoyed my card today & hopefully, it’s generated some ideas for you to create some artwork of your own!!

Today I wanted to show you something "NEW" from the Holiday book, so let's take a look at one of the Cardmaking Kits that are included in this new book.   

Here are the 2 card designs you can create with the Happy Day WYW Cardmaking Kit...so beautiful!

The beautiful White & Gold Ribbon is INCLUDED in the cardmaking kit!! AND...I had another thought after I made these....I think GOLD shimmer trim would add a FUN touch to these cards too!!

As I was thinking about "what" to create, using this stamp set I like to set goals for myself.  So my creating goals were to...

2. Stamp a background pattern, somewhere on the card. 

Here is the card I created for this month's hop.  

The original design for this card, came from our last year's Annual Inspiration Idea book...the "thanks" card is found on page 19.  I love to use past catalogs for inspiration whenever I can! :) 

Since this month, September 2017, we have TWO featured paper collections at CTMH....I used TWO paper packs! :)

Let's talk a few more details about this card....

I wanted to do some type of background stamping.  I found this dotted designer paper in the Falling For You collection, & thought I could add some more design to this paper. It's amazing how much it adds, by stamping a few of the stems of leaves! 

 Ta-da...a "new" B&T paper!

I also wanted to use a few NEW products, that were just released today!!  

Can you find these new products???  

The Bronze sequins & the White & Bronze twine :)  So pretty!

AND...of course, a little bit of shimmer goes a LONG way ;)...out came the gold shimmer brush to give my feather a bit of sparkle!!

Cardstock colors used: Almond & Espresso

Inks used: Espresso & Fern
