I have been wanting to try so many challenges that I have seen on other consultant's blogs – it looks like so much FUN!!
The challenge of the week comes from the “Dynamic Duo Challenge”. In this challenge, we had to use two colors, black and yellow and we could add neutral colors. We also had the option to add some dry embossing! J For anyone that knows me well – dry embossing is one of my FAVORITE techniques! J
I thought- “I am going to ACCEPT this challenge!!!” So, here we go! J
I am actually participating in TWO challenges…
The first challenge was from Dynamic Duo Challenge and I used the colors yellow and black and added some dry embossing….
Since I used the Dotty for You paper pack (get this paper for ONLY $5 until May 31st!!! – check out details below!!!) in the above challenge, I could also enter into The Paper Players challenge because I was using polka dots! J
Here are the cards I created…
I wasn’t sure which card I liked best…yes, they use most of the same products…but are created differently in a few ways.

The first card…
I used the metal tag from the black mini-medley from Close To My Heart.
I stamped the word “cute” from the “Play Day” stamp set and stamped flowers in Buttercup ink from the stamp set called “A Garden”.
I used our Black Baker’s Twine to finish it off.
Here is a close up of my 2nd card…
This card, I quickly put together as my 2nd card…and now I believe I may like this one more than the first! LOL!! Isn’t that how crafting often goes?!?
I dry embossed once again, this time to frame my image. After embossing, I then swiped the edges in CTMH’s black ink pad. LOVE our inks!!!!
I used CTMH’s Paradise Paper flowers & the our Petals Paper Flowers to stack 3 different kinds, and used the button brad (from the black mini-medley) as the center.
I added some glitz glitter gel to the middle flower to give it some shine. I used the Card Word Puzzle stamps set for the wording.
It was my husband’s suggestion to color in a few things with my Crème Brulee marker…thanks hon! J
