Fall Leaf–Quick Card

I thought I’d share with you a QUICK and EASY card I created!
I LOVE when something comes together so simple…and this was one of those items!

Here is a close up…

I simply stamped the entire Quick Card leaf image in Barn Red ink onto my Colonial White paper.  Then I stamped it again on a separate sheet of paper.

Next I cut out the leaf part, colored with my sponge daubers and goldrush ink pad.  I used my wonderful 3D foam tape to pop up the image on top of the originally stamped leaf quick card!

I also used my FAVORITE how-to book!!!  

I used Pattern #21 if you have this VERY helpful book!

Cupcake Card–created with Artiste cartridge!

I thought I’d share my newest CUPCAKE card with you today! J

 

A couple of FUN things about this card…

1. I LOVE the new Artiste cartridge, and how QUICK & EASY it makes card creating!  

The cupcake & the top of the cupcake came from the BIRTHDAY GIRL key… 

The decorative, elegant FRAME on this card came from the FAMILY key…

2. Another FUN item with this card…

I used the Fall Favorite FLIRTY paper pack…but WAIT…did you notice? 

Hmmm, are ALL of those papers from the Flirty paper pack?

No!!! I used THREE different paper packs to complete this card!!! It has been SUCH a CHALLENGE to me to mix and use different paper packs on the same project…WELL I conquered that challenge for the first time!!!

I often wonder “How did I create quickly & efficiently without our Cricut cartridges that coordinate with our stamp sets?”  I know that sounds silly, but as an AVID stamper…I ALWAYS seemed to be cutting out any image I was stamping!  Now, it’s only about 20% of the time that I will cut anything out by hand.  Close To My Heart’s Cricut Cartridges have saved me so much time!

September Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

This stamp set was so much FUN to play with and definitely had me starting to  think about fall!!! J

I thought I’d try to use the new paper pack called Flirty and began to really enjoy the yellow/orange color of Goldrush! LOL!!! 


Here are the bold and beautiful designs and colors of the NEW paper pack “Flirty”…

When I was creating this 5x7 card, I wanted to create an item that could show you that you don’t NEED to color in this open stamp set!

I was excited to pull out my Heat embossing tool and my Cocoa embossing powder to complete this task!

 I used my VersaMark ink pad to ink up the stamp, stamped it on my decorative shape cut by the Artiste cartridge (Accent 4>Shift>Key N>3 1/2" & 3 3/4") and completed my embossing!

  

For embellishments,

I used TWO sets of our Paper Flowers…(Floret & Paradise)

and I used our new Burlap Ribbon to give it the “harvesty” feel (is that a word? LOL!)

Did you notice, by cutting the burlap, you can get different widths of ribbon AND you can get burlap ribbon that has loose ends to give it a different look!

When I created the burlap ribbons for the center of my flowers, I used the part of the ribbon that I cut off. I was going to throw them away (horrors! ) but instead, tied them in a knot and added them to the inside of my flower!!!  I then used the zip strip, from the top of the Flirty paper pack, to add more color to my burlap ribbon. 

Did you notice the background stamping on the top of this card? YES…I was so excited when I discovered I could create my own background stamp by placing multiple words from this stamp set on my acrylic block!!!

Get creative in your own craft room and check out what stamp sets you could use to create this same type of background design!!!
