Adore You - January 2017 SOTM Blog Hop

Welcome to our monthly Stamp of the Month (SOTM) Blog Hop!!!

January 2017....a brand NEW year, and that means a Brand NEW stamp set too! There will be MANY occasions for us to use this stamp set throughout the 2017 year!

Here is this months, Stamp of the Month stamp set....

While Valentine's Day may be the first idea that pops into your mind...don't stop there! :) Birthdays, Wedding, Anniversary, and Thank you occasions also come to mind.

Here is the card I created using this month's stamp of the month....

I used the card pattern design from CTMH's Make It From Your Heart book - pattern #24 in the volume 1 version.

Close To My Hear'ts How-To books are some of my FAVORITES!! They are my "go to" book, and I love that I can always get my basic card design created in a short amount of time.

Let me share with you the NEW products that I used in today's card! :)

Let's start with the BEAUTIFUL paper pack - "Hello Lovely".

The GOLD shimmer Brush

Take a look at how our NEW gold shimmer brush can be added to any paper! In this case, I used the shimmer brush to fill the inside of the heart. This camera angle allows you to see the shimmer brush coloring a bit better than the first photo....it's so much better in person! :)

I stamped my heart & flowers with Desert Sand ink, and then carefully shaded in the flowers with our ShinHan alcohol markers.

Next - we have some BEAUTIFUL new ribbon!!! The Blush Shimmer Ribbon...pretty!

Also - take note of the centers of the flowers - oooo so pretty!! We have NEW embellishments too - a pack of gold glitter gems...70 adhesive backed glitter gems in TWO different sizes!

Retiring Soon ….Post #4–Pretty Poinsettias, Oh Deer & Shimmer Ribbon

In case you haven’t heard….my last couple of BLOG posts, I’ve been sharing items that are RETIRING on Dec 31, 2016 OR While Supplies Last!!

These items are some of "My Favorite Things" and I wanted to make sure you don’t miss out on these products, especially if they are a part of your wish list. Smile

As you may have heard, Close To My Heart's Holiday Expression "mini" book, will be ending on December 31, 2016.

At CTMH, we have a NEW mini book that arrives every 4 months....so that means our NEW Seasonal Expression 1 "mini" book will be arriving on Jan 1, 2017.

So make sure to check your wish list, and make sure you have what you need from the Holiday Expression mini book prior to its retirement.

Let’s take a look at festive Christmas card! This card was created by Kate Fisher for our Christmas Cardmaking Day we held back at the end of September…so pretty!

How pretty, and “Christmasy” this card turned out to be!

The focal point of this card, is the poinsettias. And…the stamp set name is “Pretty Pointsettias”. It’s a B-size stamp set (B1540) & that means it is only $9.95!

She also used the soon-to-be-gone – black shimmer ribbon,

the Oh Deer paper pack & the word JOY came from the stamp set “Very Merry”….another GREAT Christmas stamp set – check it out!!

Here is a close up of the pretty flower….

This flower stamp set is one that caught my eye, immediately upon its release in September. Even though this stamp set had a Christmas name….or made me think of Christmas, I was determined to create a non-Christmasy layout. Smile

So…I went to the drawing board and this is what I came up with…what do you think?

This was the layout that was part of my all day crop in Sept 2016. The ladies loved it and I will be creating a 2nd page to this layout as soon as I get a chance.
