Come on in and see what BEAUTIFUL projects my fellow consultants have creating using the AMAZING products from Close To My Heart!!

This blog hop is easy to do…just click on the link at the end of the post to go to the next creation!!  If you get lost along the way, CLICK HERE to see the list of this month’s hoppers!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you have arrived from Lori Meadow’s blog you are right on track.   J
As I thought about what I wanted to share with you today…..I realized I had created a 2 page layout a few months ago & never share it here on my blog!!
So – let’s take a look at this layout….
Wanderful_2 page layout_retreat15_flip flaps_with washi
Sorry for the glare of the protectors, but there is a reason behind this.
Flip flaps…..and we’ll talk about them in a moment.
Wanderful This was the 2 page make n take that I had at this past year’s Winter Retreat for those that chose to create it.  I offered it at my cost, and then taught the many different aspects of how we made this layout.
We used the retiring paper pack called Wanderful….a GREAT paper pack to use for many different occasions!
Let’s take a look at the Right page….because I’d like to share about Flip flaps!
Wanderful_2 page layout_retreat15_flip flaps_right page
My teammate, Stephanie Huber, gave me this FUN idea – and so I tried it out on my own!!  See the 4x6 photo at the top of this page with my precious family….this WAS a 6x6 flip flap – CUT DOWN to create a 4x6 flip flap!!
So, you might say – CTMH already has 4x6 flip flaps….what are you doing? LOL!!!
That’s true, they do (& they are FABULOUS)…..HOWEVER – right now we only have 4x6 flip flaps that have adhesive on the side of the pocket…not a top hinge.
>>>>>>>>SO….by cutting off the bottom of our 6x6 flip flap, and adhering PRETTY gold dotted washi tape to seal it….we THEN have an adhesive strip on the TOP of our flip flap vs. the side adhesive…make sense???  We can now flip UP our flip flap – instead of flip out.J
Take a look at the cluster of goodies on the right page….
Wanderful_2 page layout_retreat15_flip flaps_sweet cluster
There were 2 stamp sets used here…the Paper Wishes stamp set
HR_Paper birds
and the Documenting Moments stamp set.
Documenting Moments
This stamp set is becoming a FAST FAVORITE!!!   Feel free to go back and check out the picture of the layout…..I used MANY of these stamped images in a LOT of different ways!!  FUN!!! J
I also LOVE to use our Base & Bling charms on my projects!!  These little guys, in this case an owl, add just a fun touch to the page.
Next – DID YOU NOTICE….all the washi tape I used all OVER this layout???
Wanderful_2 page layout_retreat15_flip flaps_smile journaling
EVERYWHERE you see the striped pink lines AND the gold polka dots – they aren’t paper>>>>>>>they are Washi tape!!!!
I will miss this washi as it is leaving us by the end of this month…but even if it’s not in our NEW, upcoming  2015 Annual Inspirations, I know I will keep using this FABULOUS accent tape!!
Balloon Ride- CTMH 3 ring Kraft album
Kraft album_Balloon Ride_Artbooking_page 5 close up DSC_1205We only have 10 more days until the Retiring Items at CTMH will be gone!!
Please check & make sure that you have the items you need!!  CLICK HERE to see the most recent Retiring list!!
Come join me today, as we showcase another paper pack that will be leaving us at the end of July…Balloon Ride
I will truly miss the Balloon Ride paper!  These BEAUTIFUL neutral tones coordinate with about ANY theme!!
I wanted to showcase this paper collection & decided to use our FABULOUS My Creations Kraft 3-Ring Album as well.  With a price point of only $5.95, this album can be used for SO MANY things!!
I had SO MUCH FUN creating this album!! J  Make sure to stop back for my next couple of blog posts to see how quick & easy this album was to create!!
Here were some “rules” I set for myself before I started creating…
  • no stamping allowed
  • no inking of edges
  • I chose to only use the 8” size cut from my Cricut machine when cutting ALL shapes
  • used the Artbooking Cricut cartridge exclusively
Kraft album_Balloon Ride_Artbooking_cover DSC_1228That’s not hard, right?  J
For me the NO STAMPING part was the hardest!!
I do have to confess J…you’ll notice in the next post, I DID stamp one time in this book…I stamped lines on my cut out journaling page…but that was the only stamping I used! LOL!!
Take a look at the 1st batch of pages…(make sure to come back to this blog to see the final set of pages!)
It was so fun to add bits of glitter paper behind the cuts outs from the Artbooking Cricut cartridge!
Kraft album_Balloon Ride_Artbooking_page 1DSC_1228
In creating this album, I started to use only the images from keys 1, 2, 3, & 4 of the Artbooking cartridge.  However, I realized if I kept my dial  size at 8”…it didn’t matter WHAT shape I used in this cartridge! J So I ended up using MANY shapes from the entire cartridge!!
The shape of this half page came from the zero key…
Page 2- very simple…plenty of room for a picture or journaling…
Balloon Ride_kraft album_inside page
Page 3 & 4 - the wording is part of the zip strip from the top of the Balloon Ride paper pack! Kraft album_Balloon Ride_Artbooking_page 2 & 3 DSC_1228
It’s so fun to include a smaller tag in the middle of the album…it adds an extra touch!
Our Base & Bling charms can be used for SO MUCH more than jewelry!  While they do look adorable on our jewelry pieces, I have been using the rhinestone gems (used here) & all of the other charms on so many of my projects!!
The overlays on our Artbooking Cricut cartridge are PERFECT for mini albums!!
Page 5…….For my sparkly circles - I used SCRAPS of Glitter paper!!  The perfect way to use up those pieces! J
We’ll pause here for today…J
As you can see the pages were put together VERY SIMPLY…but it still turned out to be a BEAUTIFUL book!!! (Close To My Heart paper always makes things beautiful! J)
Make sure to join me for my NEXT POST showing the rest of this album’s pages!!
I am AMAZED at our new 5x7 Embossing Folders
and how much detail they can add to a creation, with just a touch!!
I am creating pages that will fit on our Flip Album stand.  This stand can be used for so many creations!
The thing I love the most about
Close To My Heart’s Embossing Folders, is that they come in the LARGER 5x7 size AND what’s even better….
you can emboss up to  a 4” x 12” piece of cardstock!!  A perfect length to add to any scrapbook page, or add to your card creations!  Yay for possibilities!!
Take a peek at a few close-ups…See the detail that the dot embossing folder brings to this page!
I’ve had some fun adding charms to my papercraft creations.  Here I used the rhinestone charm, but you can use these fun accents in a variety of ways!
I also am enjoying using the NEW white marquee shapes!  Incorporate these shapes with some baker’s twine, washi tape & shimmer trim - and you have some beautiful additions to make your creation shine! J
