 We are in our 2nd month of the release of the Seasonal Expression 1 (SE1) and I'm still having so much fun using these beautiful products!

Today, I would like to share a card I created for my January Open House.  It uses a FAVORITE stamp set of mine, and these images are so BEAUTIFUL - they make ANYTHING beautiful that you create!! LOL!! :) 

This card design was taken from our Make It From Your Heart, vol 4 book - and is pattern #20. I know I mentioned it before...but I just ADORE our How-To sketch books that take the guess work out of the initial process of creating a design for our project! :) 

We used the FABULOUS, all around stamp set - "Splash of Color" to give us a "touch" of color on the Bashful cardstock at the top of the card.  


For the stamped images...we used the stamp set - Chelsea Gardens- cardmaking.  This stamp set is BEAUTIFUL, and has wonderful sentiments included in this stamp set too!! 

Then to color in the images...we used a couple different items :) One thing to note....stamped images were stamped with the BLACK MEMENTO ink...that way the black color didn't run. :) 

1. To color the 2 flowers - we used the Bashful Shimmer Brush!!  Yes...the Bashful has just a light touch of pink, that allows you to color directly onto the stamped image!!

2. To color the leaves & small butterfly - we used Re-inker & a watercolor brush! :) 

How EASY to take some re-inker, put a few drops on an acrylic block...and use your watercolor brush to "pick up" some color!  It really IS that easy...happy Coloring!!

Did you notice the 3D banner?  These are a BRAND NEW item in our Thin Cut line!! LOVE these!! 

Each pack includes 2 different banners!! (yes there are actually 4 designs of banners)

Today I am sharing another card I created using this month's Stamp of the Month "Sunshine Birdies" that's the EXCLUSIVE stamp during March 2016! 

Take a look at this fun card!! J

I used the paper collection from CTMH's Penelope paper pack to create this card.  This paper is so "springy" & "happy"...it seemed to be the perfect fit! 

The banner was cut from the Artistry cartridge, and I used the designer paper to cut out the frame of the banner while using the dotted b&T paper for the inside of the banner.  I was excited to use 5 different pieces of B&T paper from the Penelope paper pack!!  

The butterflies were stamped with Memento ink, and then I used our Watercolor pencils & blending pen to color in the butterflies!  What FUN to pull out these tools again! 

To finish up this card....I used my scallop border punch to create a border using the white glitter paper (from the gold glitter pack) ...and did you see at the bottom of the card, I used the everyday life washi tape too. 

I had to use our beautiful, purple enamel hearts, so they ended up on the bottom right of the card to continue to sparkle throughout the card.  Check out the variety of enamel shapes we carry at CTMH by clicking here.

So – let’s start off by taking a peek at what is included in the NEWEST Artistry Cricut Collection Bundle.

 Let's take a look at the butterfly card I created for today's hop.   

For this butterfly card, I used the "Summer" key on the Artistry cartridge.

Isn't this a FUN key??? J 

I can't WAIT to create something with the rainbow...and the banner...and the....the list goes on and on...and this is only talking about ONE key!!  LOL!! 


Let's take a closer look at the butterflies on this card....

I used our Paper Fundamentals line for most of these cuts.  I'm going to miss these patterned designs, but I'm very glad the Paper Fundamentals product line is not disappearing on September 1st!!  The Black, Grey & Sorbet colors are all from our CURRENT Paper Fundamentals cardstock packs.

What's special about Paper Fundamentals??  These pieces of cardstock have a pattern on one side & a glossy design on the other!!   They give you so much VERSATILITY...I use them often! 

The yellow piece on the card, is the sunray image cut from the SUMMER key.  I used Canary cardstock , as this color coordinates with the Zoe collection. 

The paper pack (patterned papers) are from the Zoe paper pack which is a PRE-RELEASED item that is available to YOU now! 

I was a bit sad....I created this card using Design Space - and something went crazy that it froze up.  

Guess what?  Yup - you guessed it...I didn't SAVE the file prior to it crashing!!!  So, I don't have a Design Space file to share with you, but if you'd like measurement's on the shapes - just contact me, and I'd be happy to measure them for you. J

The design for this card comes from Close To My Heart’s Make It From Your Heart, vol. 1 book.  This is pattern #20. 

Once I had the design of the card in mind I wanted to create…I pulled my colors together and started creating!  J

Here is the card…

If you look closely at the sunset band under the friend, you’ll notice that I stamped that cardstock with the script image from the Universal Backgrounds stamp set.  I believe this script is one of my FAVORITE background stamps!
