 We are in our 2nd month of the release of the Seasonal Expression 1 (SE1) and I'm still having so much fun using these beautiful products!

Today, I would like to share a card I created for my January Open House.  It uses a FAVORITE stamp set of mine, and these images are so BEAUTIFUL - they make ANYTHING beautiful that you create!! LOL!! :) 

This card design was taken from our Make It From Your Heart, vol 4 book - and is pattern #20. I know I mentioned it before...but I just ADORE our How-To sketch books that take the guess work out of the initial process of creating a design for our project! :) 

We used the FABULOUS, all around stamp set - "Splash of Color" to give us a "touch" of color on the Bashful cardstock at the top of the card.  


For the stamped images...we used the stamp set - Chelsea Gardens- cardmaking.  This stamp set is BEAUTIFUL, and has wonderful sentiments included in this stamp set too!! 

Then to color in the images...we used a couple different items :) One thing to note....stamped images were stamped with the BLACK MEMENTO ink...that way the black color didn't run. :) 

1. To color the 2 flowers - we used the Bashful Shimmer Brush!!  Yes...the Bashful has just a light touch of pink, that allows you to color directly onto the stamped image!!

2. To color the leaves & small butterfly - we used Re-inker & a watercolor brush! :) 

How EASY to take some re-inker, put a few drops on an acrylic block...and use your watercolor brush to "pick up" some color!  It really IS that easy...happy Coloring!!

Did you notice the 3D banner?  These are a BRAND NEW item in our Thin Cut line!! LOVE these!! 

Each pack includes 2 different banners!! (yes there are actually 4 designs of banners)

We have some BEAUTIFUL, new papers in the NEW Seasonal Expressions 1 (SE1) book & today I chose to use the Make Waves paper collection in this card.  

Take a look....

I loved the color combo of the Make Waves paper collection, and chose to use this with TWO new stamp sets that are in the SE1 book too!!
  
I used the Gimme Some Sugar - Scrapbooking stamp set & the NEW Notes of Inspiration stamp....take a look at these FUN stamp sets!! 

 

My focus on creating this card was to use the NEW Thin Cuts- Basic Circle Tags.  Can you see where I used it on this card design? 

As I cut the Circle Tag from Bashful Glitter Paper...I realized I needed a circle mat for the inside of the circle to stamp the sentiment on.  Imagine MY DELIGHT when I learned that our Basic Circle Shape Thin Cuts fit PERFECTLY inside!! Yay!! 



 For my card design, I pulled out another BRAND NEW PRODUCT (one that I've been waiting to be released for a while!) ...the Make It From Your Heart, vol 4 CARDMAKING How-To-Book!! Wahoo!!  

I LOVE this new book & while there are fabulous card sketches inside - CTMH has made it even BETTER with the tips & techniques scattered throughout this book too!!  It's perfect! :) 

I used the Pansy Pigment ink, clear embossing powder & my heat tool  to make the wording "pop". :)  AND...do you see one more FUN, BEAUTIFUL, NEW product I used??

We now have a BASHFUL Shimmer Brush!!!!!  WAHOOOO!!!!

Notice the sparkle on the flower...and I colored the background of the word "Sparkly" with the Bashful Shimmer Brush too!! What FUN!!

Today lets take a look at this layout ...

I chose to use our Basics Fundamentals papers and pair it with our "Color of the Year"....Bashful :)  (see details on the Fundamentals SALE below) 

I also used the fabulous You Are Here Cricut collection...if you haven't heard the news....Provo Craft has decided to DISCONTINUE all physical Cricut cartridges!!  So that means from now on - ONLY digital cartridges...and that means our Exclusive, CTMH cartridges are on a while supplies last basis.  Learn more by clicking HERE!

Let's take a closer look at this layout....

The "Rest & Relax" wording were found on page 19 of this cartridge book & the feathers were from page 42.  If you'd like to view ALL 700 images of this cartridge - CLICK HERE...it is an AMAZING collection once again!!

For the title, I cut it out in Black Cardstock & then was able to cut just the "Relax" in our Bashful GLITTER paper...such a beautiful touch!!

You can see this page is VERY simple...but pretty.  The basics Fundamentals have that effect...so subtle, yet BEAUTIFUL!!  

Here's a close up of just the words....

On the other side of the page, I cut some simple images again (book- pg. 42...coffee cup- page 47) 

Did you notice the CLEAR overlays?? These are made for your pocket scrapbooking - however, they are GREAT for regular scrapbook pages (or even card fronts) too!!  This clear "transparency" with the rose design will be an extra touch to a photo that is placed behind it. :) 

To finish up this layout, I added a few of our Bashful colored pearls, & the beautiful gray/gold ribbon from the Basic Fundamentals Ribbon collection.
