This month, January 2019, we have a "Winner" of a stamp set ----- I introduce to you our "Card Captions" stamp set.

Stamp surgery is when I take my VERY SHARP micro-tip scissors...and cut apart the sayings in a stamp set, so I can have better placement of the image. 

So yes....I cut apart the Birthday Wishes saying - so that I could stamp it on top of each other vs. masking the words & trying to not get ink everywhere....LOL!!

Here's my card design using this stamp set. 

In case you haven't heard....CTMH released TODAY (Jan 1st) a BRAND NEW, beautiful Seasonal Expressions 1 Idea Book! That means we have LOTS of beautiful, new goodies to create with! 



Today, I am using the FUN-LOVING paper collection called "Something Fierce".  What a beautiful collection....and while the dinosaurs may stick out to you at first....you will come to see the amazing VARIETY this paper collection offers us!!  I LOVE this paper collection!!


Let's take a closer look at the "Something Fierce" papers...and then we'll talk about my card creation.

YES....it IS a Gift Card holder!!!

A fellow consultant - Susie Sutton - was so GRACIOUS to share this adorable card design with all of us!!  How CLEVER this is!!!

The left side of the card that is glued down (make sure to only glue the OUTER edges of this piece!) - is 2 1/4" wide.  So that would make the other side ---that flips up and down --- 3 1/4" wide. 

 We created this card at one of my TEAM meetings....it's our goal each meeting to create a card using the upcoming Stamp of the Month, so we have a sample to share with our papercrafting friends.  

One of "my girls" suggested we add a Decorative Thin Cut border to the left side...and that was the PERFECT finishing touch!!!

I also used our "Stitched Heart" thin cuts (metal dies) I'm not sure WHAT I would do without these heart die cuts!! They are the "perfect" touch to so many of my creations!! Love - LOVE these hearts!!

The Peacock Stitched Ribbon was the ONLY embellishment that I used on this card....and while it's not a Current item - it IS still AVAILABLE!! What's even better - it's in the CLEARANCE SECTION on my website!!

January Stamp of the Month Blog Hop - Bloom & Grow

This stamp set makes me think of SPRING...and I chose to pair it up with a BEAUTIFUL, new paper collection that was just released today - "Chelsea Gardens".  

Here is the card I created for today. 

Look at those pretty blues & greens...our green "Sweet Leaf" has been my favorite green for so long!! 

 I also chose to pair up these papers with our "Color of the Year" - Bashful!  I used some Bashful glitter paper, pearls AND the NEWEST addition of a Bashful item - Bashful Glitter Brush!!! 

We also have some beautiful NEW ribbons in the Seasonal Expression 1 mini catalog that was just released. You'll see here that we have a grosgrain gray ribbon - Hooray!! I love adding a touch of ribbon to all of my papercrafting creations. 

  

I took this picture in the sunlight to try and show you the shimmer & sparkle the Bashful Shimmer Brush created...here's hoping you can see it! :) A piece of the Bashful Glitter paper is to the left, and each of the leaves on the seed packet, were colored in with the Bashful Shimmer Brush.  

Lastly, the heart was stamped in Bashful ink, onto the lighter side of our Bashful cardstock.  The heart was then colored with the Bashful Shimmer Brush....that's a LOT of Bashful going on! :)

Here’s an inside look at the mini album…there are (5) 4x6 pages (front & back= 10) and (5) sets of pages that hold 2-4x3 items.

My friend, Gina Brandstetter, did a great job in filling her mini-album with the Year-Noted special kit!

I chose to create 2 sets of 12x12 layouts with this paper pack…take a peek!

I was inspired by fellow consultant, Michelle Snyder (thanks Michelle!) for this first layout. 

The gold foil stickers are a fun inclusion in this kit, but I had to bring in and add some gold dotted washi tape too!!

I used the Artbooking cartridge to get my 3” numbers of 2015.

I also love the stamp set that is included in this kit (the $5 OR $10) Here is one of the journaling cards I created.

I also created a 2nd layout using CTMH’s Make It From Your Heart booklet #1, pattern 13. This layout lets plenty of room for pictures, and was a great layout to use up some of the scraps in this kit!

To create both of these layouts, I added 2 sheets of White Daisy cardstock (my 2nd set of base pages), one sheet of Desert Sand cardstock & some Gold washi tape.

Here is the card I created this month.J

My card design came from our Wishes How-To Book.  This card's pattern is called "It's a Wrap"...and it is a slide out card.  

I used the NEW Heartstrings paper pack that works perfect with January's stamp set!! J 

Look at this BEAUTIFUL new paper pack!!  Those colors...those patterns...squeal! 

The arrow stamps in this set kept calling my name - so I decided to use them as part of my background. 


 By inking them in Whisper ink & stamping them on Whisper cardstock, it created a beautiful background. 

In creating the pull out part of this card...I wanted to add some texture to that piece inside.  The CTMH Scoring Board was the PERFECT answer!! 

I put my 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of white daisy cardstock on the Scoreboard, and scored all 4 sides in 1/4" inch from the edge to create the border.  

The Chevron border punch is one of my FAVORITE tools of CTMH's...and since we were already going with the arrow theme, I thought this may be the perfect addition! J

This is one of my favorite ways to use this punch...punch the chevron design into any designer paper of my choice...and then cut them apart into arrows to add as accents to my projects.
