~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Who remembers the URBAN paper suite that came out in 2015???
Close To My Heart has brought this pack BACK...but with a little revamping of the colors to coordinate with our current colors.
I ADORE when CTMH have these monthly specials, because it USUALLY means they have a workshop kit created for us too!!
Today, I chose to create a quick & simple card with the handsome URBAN paper pack. ...take a look.
This card design comes from our Make It From your Heart vol 2 how-to book...and I "copied" the design from a card I created with Urban back in 2015. (you can see the original card at the bottom of this post ;) )
I adore the city building scene in the stamp set that goes along with this collection.
Does anyone want to guess where the "wording" comes from? ;)
I ADORE our "Zip Strips" that adorn the top of all of our paper packs!! There's helpful information on the one side of these zip strips...but on the other side...there are beautiful designs!! In this case, there were words I could use on this card!
The wooden arrows, Gold Shimmer Trim & Loose Gold Sequins are a PERFECT addition too!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's take a look at some of the different "parts" of our NEW Urban collection!
1. CTMH has designed a workshop with many of these beautiful items! Here's a look at what their workshop creates.
You can chat with YOUR CTMH Consultant to see if she is hosting a class OR how you can get the FREE instructions for this Workshop!!
2. Something "NEW" that CTMH has added to this Urban collection is the FABULOUS 12x12 Sticker sheet!! Look at all those IMAGES!!
3. Stamp set --- This time around, CTMH also created a BRAND NEW stamp set to coordinate with the URBAN paper pack!!  This is the stamp set I used in my card above.  What do you think about our NEW "Urban Flair" stamp set?? :)
 While you can purchase the paper pack on it's on...the BEST deal is when you purchase the Workshop Bundle....and SAVE 25%!! Don't miss out on this FABULOUS deal....URBAN is only available until January 31, 2020 OR While supplies last!
Make sure you check in with your CTMH Consultant for all the details!!
Urban paper pack
One of my FAVORITE paper packs in the NEW Annual Inspirations Idea Book is the Urban collection.   J
If you remember, LAST month, I shared a card made with Urban....and I decided to continue sharing some more items from a swap I was recently apart of. ( I make multiples of 5 different creations & got others in return)
Today we are going to take a look at how we can turn the Urban paper collection into a feminine design  J
I really like the new flower stamp set called "So Many Smiles"....and as I started creating - I thought this stamp set could help "pull off" turning the Urban collection into something feminine.
I also went to check out CTMH's how to books - and decided to use the Magic How-to-book called "Spellbound" for the final layout design.
Take a peek at the finished 2 page layout....
I had so much fun stamping & creating the different colors to my flowers.  By adding our NEW Pomegranate color to the Urban collection, it added just the pop of color this layout needed.
I felt that my larger pieces of Peacock Cardstock were too "blah"....so if you look closely, you can see that I did some stamping.  I stamped the background image from the NEW stamp set "In Review" with peacock ink to add some texture to these pieces.
Here is a close up of a cluster of flowers....sometimes I chose to "pop" and layer all the different circle flowers, and other times I had them flat on the page.
It's AMAZING how much easier our Close To My Heart Cricut collections make our creating!!  I cut out the circles, and the leaves & the title shape, and then just started stamping away!!
Can you see....the Cricut cut scalloped border, was cut from our NEW Paper Fundamentals Pomegranate paper! J
The next close up picture is showcasing the title section.  I again used the Sapphire Paper Fundamentals paper to mat my "Smiles" title. (This fundamentals paper is part of our November special!!) J
I used two FUN stamp sets to create the title..."Handwritten Print" and "Brushstrokes".  It took me a long time to come up with this (for some silly reason) and I'm not sure if I still really like this title piece - LOL!  J
I added some of our NEW adhesive backed gold foil tape for a little bit of extra.....and I added our Enamel red dots to add some "extra" pop, and really like how it turned out!  All of our enamels are adhesive backed & ready to place on whatever project you are creating!
I think that’s all for now….please come back and join me again J
.... AND if you’d like to create your OWN "Smiles" layout – here is the list of items I used to create it!  Happy Crafting!! J
I was recently apart of a swap ( I make multiples of 5 different creations & get others in return) and I chose to use the Urban paper.
I thought I would share one of the cards I created today. (and I’ll share the rest of these items in the upcoming weeks here on my blog.  J )
Football stamp
Since football season is just beginning, I wanted to try my hand at using this NEW “Play Hard- football” stamp set.
So, I went to our handy-dandy Wishes How-to-book for some inspiration, and this card is what I came up with….let the football season begin!
OH FUN!!
Did you notice the RED outlines on the stamp set?
These RED lines DO mean something!!!  It means these shapes coordinate with one of Close To My Heart’s 5 Cricut cartridges…in this case it’s our NEWEST cartridge – Artistry!!!
For the Star border – I welded 3 strips together, and created my own border. This image can be found on the “U” key.
The “shield” image was found on the “Patriotic” key….notice I used the new PEACOCK color cardstock for the base of this shield!!
For the football player himself, I stamped him 4 different colors, and paper pieced him together.
I also was thrilled when I thought to background stamp the “plays” on top of the already created Background paper!!  The background was dry embossed with our chevron embossing folder, then sanded, and sprayed with our spray pen….just a bit of added texture.
I think that’s all for now….please come back and join me again AND if you’d like to create your OWN football card – here is the list of items I used below!  Happy Crafting!! J
