Charming Chevrons Birthday Card

I’m so happy you came to see me and what I created today!  Welcome!!!

We had a birthday in our home, last Friday - so I created this card for our “NEW” 15 year old!!

By using our spray pen & filling it with desert sand re-inker & water - you are able to create a background in a flash!

 

Actually, I have a neutral colored, filled and ready-to-go spray pen on my creating desk at all times! 

***Can you figure out which of the new paper packs the dotted paper is from? J

If you guessed WANDERFUL - you are correct!!! 

While all of the colors in this card I created do not coordinate with this paper pack,

I LOVE the versatility to be able to take a paper from a collection & then pair it up with whatever COLORS you choose!!

The ink colors used for this card…

 our NEW colors of CANARY & FLAXEN, and also Crystal Blue & Outdoor  Denim. 

I haven’t used the Charming Chevron stamp set very much yet - but it appeals to me so much & I was excited how this card turned out!! 

Notice how I stamped 2 of the arrows twice

(outdoor denim & canary arrows)

& cut them out and “popped” them with our wonderful 3D foam tape! 

To go along with the arrow theme…I used our very popular, NEW Chevron border punch. 

Isn’t it neat how you can punch a border (at the top of the card) and let it just as it is….

OR

….punch another strip at the bottom of the card, and layer some of our FABULOUS shimmer trim OR 12x12 glitter papers behind it to give the creation and extra “wow”.

Now, I’m off to get ready for my TEAM CELEBRATION

I’m SO PROUD of my girls, and can’t wait to celebrate our accomplishment of being one of 20 teams in the company that achieved the Thriving/Striving 30 Contest!!  Wahoo!!!

Surf’s Up - non-summer card

Onto our NEXT card using Surf’s Up paper pack!! 

If you have been following my recent posts, you’ll remember that I participated in a swap where I chose to use ONE specific paper pack.  If you missed some of my past posts…CLICK HERE to check them out! J

In the last post, I mentioned a non-summer card…but wait - I thought I was using a “summer” paper pack? J

One of the things I LOVE about Close To My Heart, is the variety of designs and patterns in each of their patterned paper packs!!

Yes, it may be “themed” for a certain occasion…but the papers are SO BEAUTIFUL in their designs that MANY MOST times, you can use CTMH’s paper for a VARIETY of occasions!!!

Out of this paper pack, I chose to use only ONE of the designer papers for my Non-summer card.  Then I used cardstock in coordinating colors to pull in a variety of color!

A BOY’s Happy Birthday Card!!! J  

When I noticed this NEW stamp set in the Idea Book… I knew I HAD to have it for the many “rough & tough” boys in my life! 

The stamp set is called “Fast & Furious”

I LOVE the tire tracks, the trucks, wording, etc!!!  LOVE IT!

I also used a new stamp set called Joyful Birthday. 

This stamp set will be used often in my household!

Take a look at the INSIDE of this card…keep those muddy tire tracks on a roll! LOL!!!

and here is a CLOSE UP of the truck.

Those wheels were just BEGGING for some 3D foam tape on the back of them!  By using a Cricut cut card, It made creating so QUICK & EASY!!!

  I cut a 4 1/2” card using the O key from the Artiste Cricut Collection. The band for this card, was also cut at the same size…because images in the Artiste collection are “linked” together, so I don’t have guess what size my band should be to go around my card!!!
