This paper pack is just WONDERFUL, and it makes me happy just to LOOK at those VIBRANT papers! J

Take a look at the card I created using this EXCLUSIVE new paper pack...that will ONLY be available in May!!!

This card makes me so HAPPY when I look at it J…how about you? 

I chose to use Close To My Heart’s ARTISTE Cricut cartridge in creating this card! I LOVE how quick and easy my creating goes when I use the CTMH Cricut cartridges!!!

I was having FUN with this glossy resist patterned cardstock…can you see how the tips of the leaves and petals are a bit darker??  
...I inked Cotton Candy ink on the ends of the petals, and Slate ink on the ends of the leaves, to have the designed cardstock shine through!!!

Did you notice that scalloped, black, glitter border?

This is actually our Black Shimmer Tape…I made the adhesive backed ribbon scalloped, by using our Corner Rounder!!!  I LOVE creating these scallop!!

Notice how I “popped” the layers of my flowers…

and I decided to “pop” my hello too!!!

5th Annual Scrapbooking Weekend!!!

My 5th Annual retreat has come to an end...but not without having a WONDERFUL time!!

There is anticipation each August at my Fall Open House as the registration for my annual scrapbook retreat opens!!!  This year was no exception, but now our weekend is over and we are ready for next year!!!

I thought I’d give you a glimpse of our 2 1/2 days together! Let’s take a peek! J 

I enjoy preparing throughout the entire year, but the last few weeks are when I focus in on final details…

...and THIS is the item I enjoy getting together to give you some “extras” just for joining me for this weekend!!!  Goodie bags… J

Here’s a peek of what was inside…

• pack of Irresistible alphabet Lots of Dots stickers
• 1 yd. of cotton candy ribbon
• a pack of Just Blooms flowers
• colo. white mini-medley
• 1/2 sheet of glitter paper
• 1 yd of cranberry colored ribbon
• a sheet of clear sparkles
• 2 sheets of NEW designer paper
• water bottle with tag and crystal light
• and CANDY of course!

We had a total group of ladies that numbered 29…missing 3 of you that couldn’t join us because of unexpected issues! 

We woke up Friday morning to a dusting of snow!!! I LOVE our little cabins we stay in, so CUTE & COZY!!!  You can see the building of our main scrap area to the left of the picture.

We had door prizes throughout the weekend…(I was peeking at them through the glass window as they were choosing their prizes J)

everyone went away with something…we also PLAYED Embellishment Bingo and had prizes for our first 7 winners!!!

Check out a sampling of the AMAZING food we had ~ ALL weekend long!!! 

We scaled back to 2 meals a day this year, and included mid-day snacks…everything was so YUMMY!!  These ladies went all out!!!

I had invited Lynae & Ashley to join us again this year for their wonderful massages!  This was optional, but I was blessed to have a double massage- paid for by my lovely aunts!

I had an extra class where my friends could create a 2 page layout. 

 Here is the layout we created using the NEW Buzz & Bumble paper pack.  The neutral tones in this kit make it a paper pack to use for ANY occasion!!

We enjoyed some beautiful bouquets of flowers during the weekend, J and at the end of the weekend, this bouquet was given to me!  

THANK YOU Arlene - they are still beautiful on my dining room table!!! 

We also had a layout contest that ended on our last afternoon together.  Each person that entered, was required to use the Cherish layout called “Visual Texture”.

Our final contest/drawing was for the GRAND PRIZE - the Buzz & Bumble Workshop on the Go kit!!!  Yay Arlene!!!

Each year is special…and of course we make different memories each year!!  But know, that no matter how much work it is...it's something I look forward to EACH and EVERY year!! I love being able to serve you in this special way!!!

Thanks to EACH of you that attended, and I’m looking forward to our time together next year! J
