La Vie En Rose–WOTG

One of our BEAUTIFUL “Workshop On the Go” kits at Close To My Heart is called La Vie En Rose. Look at this BEAUTIFUL paper collection!!! 

This kit is one of my favorites and I ADORE the exclusive stamp set that is found inside. 

Take a look at the 3 layouts we made using the La Vie  En Rose paper  at class earlier this year.  The black & white papers, paired with Pomegranate & Peacock cardstock made BEAUTIFUL layouts!

The Artistry Cricut cartridge was used for all the cricut cuts.  I LOVE the flowers in this stamp set. 

And...check out the gold foil tape...this addition adds so much to this layout!

I used my Cricut Explore machine, and I was VERY impressed the detail this blade cut out the cricut cuts.  Look at this beautiful cluster!

I created this set of pages with the leftover paper we had after creating the first two layouts.  I added the La Vie En Rose Complements, instead of stamping so we could have a quick & easy 3rd layout.

Sangria Workshop on the Go Kit by CTMH

Tonight is the night of my monthly Workshop class!! Yay!!J   I always look forward to this night of creating and fellowshipping together.

This month, we will be creating the Sangria Workshop on the Go layouts.  Each month, we use CTMH’s workshop guide to create the first 2 sets of layouts, and then I create a 3rd layout for my ladies.

So…let’s take a look at the first layout we’ll be creating this evening…

(this was designed by the CTMH art team)

The first layout always includes some Cricut cuts…

But GUESS what???

Close To My Heart ALWAYS includes a non-Cricut version too in case you’d rather create that one!!

Let’s take a close up look of this 1st page…do you see this cluster of embellishments? 

Notice the flowers…..some our Cricut cuts, some are stamped images & others are the BEAUTIFUL molded, resin shaped flowers.

The poppy twine is ALSO included in the WOTG kit, and we just twisted it before adding it as an accent on this 1st layout.

Here’s the 2nd layout.

The directions for the first set of pages is included in the WOTG kit.  The 2nd set of directions for this layout can be found at my website.  This design was taken from our how-to-book (MIFYH, vol2 , pattern #2)

I ADORE the stamping on this one!!

Now…for the 3rd layout that I create with all the “extra” , leftover pieces we have some general “guidelines” we like to follow.

…the #1 guideline – is QUICK & EASY!!! 

Our goal is to create a 3rd set of pages that is beautiful, but does not include any of these items…

• stamping
• inking
• Cricut cuts

However we DO choose to use the coordinating Complements on this 3rd layout. 

Here is a picture of the 3rd layout I created…

I chose the layout design from our Make It From Your Heart how-to-book, vol 2, pattern #15. 

I also wanted to show you some close up photos of the BEAUTIFUL complement pieces!!

             

I used ALL 3 different types of embellishments that are included in this collection!!!

I know CTMH does a GREAT job of showcasing our products online, but with the Complements….they chose not to show each & every item that is included. 

SO, I took a picture of what the ENTIRE pack of Sangria Complements looks like!!

If you have arrived from my friend & upline Joyce Houck’s blog you are right on track.  Since we are already in the month of January…I thought it may be fun to show you samples of Valentine cards I created recently!  J

Here are the 3 Valentine’s Cards I created….

Today, Let’s talk about the details on the other two cards.  

Happy Valentine’s Day card

I had so much fun with this card!! The card design that inspired me was pattern #25 in our Make It From Your Heart - vol. 2 booklet. (take a peek at this pattern, and you can see the few changes I made J )

I used 3 of the NEW stamp sets in our Seasonal Expression mini-book!  Let’s look at the 3 stamp sets… 

1. The stamp set from Heartstrings WOTG card kit (G1090)


2. C1608 Brushstrokes

3. D1635 Assorted Edges



I had FUN using the border stamps to create my OWN background paper!  I stamped the circle/dotted border in Lagoon ink, on top of Lagoon cardstock!

I also REALLY like the adorable heart/arrow border that is included in the Heartstrings WOTG stamp set!!! By stamping it in Cranberry…it added a finishing touch to the middle of the card.


Let’s take a look at the 2nd card…

Be Mine card

I used the SAME stamp sets as listed above…BUT I also used our FABULOUS spray pens as part of the background!!!

By mixing whisper re-inker & water  and putting it into the spray pen, you get a beautiful “spotted” background!!  Here is a closer look!



To create all of these cards, I used the BEAUTIFUL new paper pack called Heartstrings. 


This paper is perfect for the month of February, but can also be used for many other occasions too!! The rose paper is just beautiful, and the paper with words is so versatile! 

I didn’t talk about the embellishments - but they show themselves well…there’s no NEED to talk! LOL! 

The NEW White shimmer Trim, Heartstrings Assortment , Pixie Extra thick Twine & the Stuck On You - Puffies added the perfect touche to finish these cards!!
