Heat it Up!...means getting out that fabulous heat tool! 
  
I adore Sparkle & Shine & love to incorporate it into whatever project I'm working on.

Today, my "shiny" card was created with our BEAUTIFUL Mix-In papers.  
Take a look... 

I enjoy Heat Embossing very much & it's been a while since I did embossing on my ENTIRE card -- sentiment and all!

Let's take a look at the stamp sets I used for this card.   

First up --- the Fairy Tale Magic stamp & thin cut bundle. 

Ever since this stamp set was released, I've wanted to stamp those mushrooms! Well, today was FINALLY the day!! Yay! 

Next up --- my FAVORITE Birthday stamp set!! This one is called "Birthday Greetings".  This stamp can be found in the ONLINE ONLY section of your CTMH Consultant's website! This stamp set I use, over & over, and OVER again! 

I used our Princess Gold Embossing powder. to emboss the sentiment AND the mushroom border.  And yes...I did fussy cut that border ;)  I really enjoy fussy cutting, and when you have a FABULOUS scissors, like CTMH carries, our Micro-tip scissors are the BEST around to do your fussy cutting!! 

I decided to also turn this into a Shaker card for some added fun!! I used our Loose Gold Sequins, and tried to pull out most of the clear sequins in that mix, with just a sprinkling of gold sequins. 
The "Birthday Hello" and single mushroom, were heat embossed on the shaker part of the card, prior to filling the shaker with sequins. 

To color in the mushrooms, I used our Tri-Blend alcohol markers. I LOVE how these markers blend "effortlessly" together!

Close To My Heart has done it again!!
  
Our TWO,  NEW Idea Books are FILLED with BEAUTIFUL papers, embellishments & products!! It was hard to choose what items to create with, but I wanted to share a simple Christmas Card I created, using some of these new products. 

Take a look....

The"Holly Jolly" paper collection are the 2 patterned papers I used for this card.  

I believe the soft snowflake pattern is my FAVORITE paper in this paper collection.    Take a look at the rest of these pattern designs....

I used 2 different stamp sets for this card creation..  

  FIRST----the sentiment "Christ the Savior is Born"...I ADORE our mini size stamp sets....and at $3.95 , this is one you'll just "need" to add to your stamp stash! 

NEXT --- this stamp set we call "For the Tree", is one that I CONTINUE to pull out and use!  From the lovely words of "merry christmas" to this case, I used that lovely STAR image.  There are so many options to use from this particular stamp set!

The NEXT new items we used...is our 5x7 Snowflake Embossing folder!!

  Look at how LOVELY this folder embosses.....so, so beautiful!! 

If you look closely, you'll also notice a stitched edging around the Black CS snowflake embossed paper.  

By cutting my Black Cardstock (CS) from our Stitched Square Thin cuts and THEN running it through my embossing machine, I got that lovely stitched edge.

While it doesn't quite feel like fall, here in eastern PA....I know the fall weather is just around the corner! 

Take a look at the card I created with this month's stamp set. 

I found today's card design...in one of our past Idea Books (pg. 35 of our 2018 Holiday Expressions catalog) I'm pretty sure this pattern is from one of our Make It From Your Heart how-to books, but I didn't take time to double check that thought. :) 

 When I think of fall...I think gold tones...and that led me to do some Heat Embossing of those beautiful leaf images included in this stamp set! 

If you click on the photo to see the details...you'll notice the leaf images are heat embossing in gold.  What a FUN way to create a background! 

You'll see 3 different patterned paper designs. These papers come from our current "Mix In" papers!  If you haven't heard about our Mix-In or know what they are....please, please ask your CTMH consultant! :)  These papers are BEAUTIFUL & are meant to extend the use of the current paper packs in the Idea Book.  I ADORE the patterns and designs included in our Mix-In paper collection!!  

Let's take a look at the top of this card....

You will ADORE the gingham border stamp included in this stamp set! I LOVE it and can't wait to use it in other projects!! I also tied some of our Gold Embellishing Thread around the top of the card for some added texture and shine.

That acorn...that adorable acorn! :) 
I stamped the acorn with Espresso ink, and then colored it in with some of our Tri-Blend markers to deepen the brown tones.

Here's To You - CTMH Blog Hop

Today, I choose to use one of the EXCLUSIVE stamp sets included in the Here's To You Special. :) Here is the card I created for today's hop.  

I always LOVE to pull out our How-To-Books at CTMH, to choose a card design - and today this card is from one of my favorite How-to's. :) 
You can find this card pattern in the Make It From Your Heart volume 4, pattern #16. 

The card I created, uses the "soon-to-be-retired" paper collection called Whimsy Fundamentals. This collection will be retiring at the end of August...take a peek!

I was also in the mood to do some heat embossing :)....and that led to the emboss resist technique on my card. Let's recap how this is done.... 

I LOVE to use Scotch Tape to mask off any words I don't want to ink up...in this case, I put scotch tape over the scroll images at the top & bottom of this stamp set. 

After the scotch tape was applied, I inked it in my VersaMark ink....stamped on my 3" Linen cardstock square, and sprinkled the CLEAR embossing powder over top.  

I shook off the excess powder & used my heat tool to melt the embossing powder.  

Next, I sponged Sweet Leaf ink over top of the words...and ta-da...the words turned white! :) 

I also used some White Glitter paper to cut out these CUTE Stitched hearts!!  I LOVE our stiched metal dies! :)
