Here's To You - CTMH Blog Hop

Today, I choose to use one of the EXCLUSIVE stamp sets included in the Here's To You Special. :) Here is the card I created for today's hop.  

I always LOVE to pull out our How-To-Books at CTMH, to choose a card design - and today this card is from one of my favorite How-to's. :) 
You can find this card pattern in the Make It From Your Heart volume 4, pattern #16. 

The card I created, uses the "soon-to-be-retired" paper collection called Whimsy Fundamentals. This collection will be retiring at the end of August...take a peek!

I was also in the mood to do some heat embossing :)....and that led to the emboss resist technique on my card. Let's recap how this is done.... 

I LOVE to use Scotch Tape to mask off any words I don't want to ink up...in this case, I put scotch tape over the scroll images at the top & bottom of this stamp set. 

After the scotch tape was applied, I inked it in my VersaMark ink....stamped on my 3" Linen cardstock square, and sprinkled the CLEAR embossing powder over top.  

I shook off the excess powder & used my heat tool to melt the embossing powder.  

Next, I sponged Sweet Leaf ink over top of the words...and ta-da...the words turned white! :) 

I also used some White Glitter paper to cut out these CUTE Stitched hearts!!  I LOVE our stiched metal dies! :)

We have some BEAUTIFUL, new papers, embellishments & products in the NEW Seasonal Expressions 2 (SE2) book!! It was hard to choose what items to create with. ;) 

Here is today's card...

I started by looking at our Cardmaking volume 3, Make it From Your Heart How-To-Book, and found  pattern #13...and this card came to life! :)  

   
I was excited to use TWO of our NEWEST paper packs from the Seasonal Expression 2 mini-book!!
The Floral designed paper, comes from our Documented collection...and the pink striped paper comes from our Beautiful Friendship paper suite.  Take a look at these BEAUTIFUL papers!!

I wanted to stamp some type of sentiment on the front of this card. I love the writing style of this NEW stamp set - Shell Sentiments.  

Next, I was so EXCITED to use the NEWEST Thin Cuts we have at CTMH!!  Take a look at these STITCHED metal dies we call Thin Cuts!! 

We now have CIRCLE, HEART & OVAL stitched dies!!! 
AND....what's even better...they coordinate with our Basic Shapes dies in these styles!! :) :) 
The Stitched dies can be matted by the Basic Shape die cuts!!  Wahooo CTMH!!

For today's creation, I used the MAY Postcard Perfect Special . 
This EXCLUSIVE collection is ONLY available in May at CTMH & is a BEAUTY for sure!! 

This is the make n take we created at my National Scrapbooking Day event yesterday ...let's take a look!   

For the base page we used the lighter side of "Toffee" cardstock.  I used Pattern #9 from our MIFYH vol 1 book to create this 1 page spread.  

This "relax & enjoy" stamp, comes from the NEW Fresh Air - Cardmaking collection...and it fit PERFECT with this page.!!

Look at this GORGEOUS stitched circle below!!!!  Are you wondering if this is something new to CTMH??  Why yes....yes it is!!!!!  

We now have stitched metal dies (we call them Thin Cuts)....and they are available in circles, ovals & hearts! :) 

The flower came from the Postcard Perfect Stamp set...take a look!! I used Smoothie & Juniper inks for the flowers....so pretty & tropical looking :)
