Today, let's take a look at this layout I created from leftover scraps. :) ....let's check it out!

This layout design was taken from our Make It From Your Heart, vol 3 book - and is pattern #25. :)

I was putting together the Chelsea Gardens WYW kit for my upcoming class, and wanted to create a 4th layout - with my leftover paper.

Here is the layout that came from those "leftover" papers...

...a few things to note...

1. Please keep in mind, my ladies do NOT want to create the cards that are included in the WYW kits. So that means we don't cut the card pieces from the cutting guide. Instead, we may choose to use that "extra" paper to create more layouts. :)

2. We will often use White Daisy CS as our base page, not the B&T papers that CTMH suggests in the WYW instructions.

The NEW CREAM ribbon is BEAUTIFUL...

...and did you notice the "marbelized" gems that coordinate with the Chelsea Gardens collection?

These embellishments are all LEFTOVER pieces from the Workshop Your Way (WYW) kit!! I think our stickers from the Complements pack are SO pretty...you can hardly tell they are stickers!!

2 page layout using Fundamentals & new complements!

Today I wanted to share this 2 page layout that we created at a recent Close To My Heart event, Team Builders! This was my 2nd year that I was able to attend Team Builders, and what a weekend it was!!

We had business talks, encouragement, laughter, Fun and of course creative time!! We created (10) 2 page layouts, and today I wanted to share my favorite one with you.

These layouts all focus on our FUNDAMENTALS line.

This layout uses 3 of our Fundamentals papers, PLUS the NEW Fundamentals Complements...I ADORE these 4 new Complements packs!!

Didn't the CTMH Art Department do an AMAZING job in creating this layout??? I love it!!

So, let's take a closer look...

The cluster of embellishments/stickers, are from the 2 NEW Complement packs called "My Girl Complements" & "Springtime Complements". The white chipboard pieces with gold foil, are included in the Springtime...the bright flowers & leaves are from the My Girl ones.

Take a peek at the two different packs below. Please keep in mind that these complements can be found in the Seasonal Expression 1 mini book and WILL retire on April 30, 2017!!

This layout uses these papers.....Rustic Home Fundamentals, Whimsy Fundamentals &
Adventure Fundamentals.

What BEAUTIFUL papers these are - and THEY are located in our Annual Inspirations Idea Book and will be current until July 31, 2017 OR while supplies last.
These fundamental papers are some of my FAVORITES!!!

One more close - up....did you notice the tiny bit of stamping that I did? I stamped the "beautiful" and "about me" ...and that's it!!!

This stamp set is a new one, and one that will be used often!

Swan Lake WYW kit by CTMH

Have you ever tried Close To My Heart’s

Workshop Your Way kits?

We call them WYW for short…and they are FABULOUS kits that include all the products to create (3) sets of 12x12 pages, add on Pocket Plus pages, and 8-10 cards! Wahoo!! An amazing kit!! Smile

Each kit comes with a Paper Collection, extra sheets of cardstock, coordinating Complements pack, and 1-2 different types of additional embellishments.

You can see the SWAN LAKE collection kit here…It’s a GREAT deal!!

The directions, to complete these projects, are in a downloadable format, and can be found on my shopping website as you place that particular kit in your shopping cart!

Last week, I held my monthly scrapbooking class & we used the Swan Lake WYW kit! What beautiful pages we created!!

This class chose to only make the 3 sets of layouts from the kit…but I had a surprise for them! Smile

By changing a few of the cutting directions,and adding 4 pieces of White Daisy cardstock, we were able to create a total of 4 sets of 12x12 layouts…..8 pages!!!

Let’s take a look at the pages we created….

Layout 1

Here is a close up of the “plastic” lettering that comes in the Swan Lake complements pack. They are so light, and are just raised a bit to give some added dimension & texture to your creation!

Layout 2

Look at these BEAUTIFUL gold foil stickers that are included in the complement pack!!! Also our NEW shimmer black RIBBON….it adds so much!

Layout 3

This is the FUN page…or at least I think so! Smile

I really like the NEW product that CTMH released in August of this year…these Pocket PLUS protectors!!

These pages are little inserts that are added in between your two pages. Our cut apart Picture My Life (PML) cards, that are included in our paper collections, fit PERFECTLY into these pockets!!

So let's take a closer look….any guesses where the gold foil outlined hearts came from??

Well, it may seem a little silly Winking smile

….but I couldn’t just throw away the outline of these gold foil hearts stickers!

Scroll back up to layout 2…see the gold hearts? I used the heart stickers on that page, but then had the "leftover" outline shape of the hearts. They were so pretty, and were gold foil, so I used my handy-dandy, non-stick, micro tip scissors, to fussy cut out these outlines & used them on the 4th layout!

Kaleidoscope Scrapbook Pages- CTMH

Have you taken notice of the Kaleidoscope paper collection from Close To My Heart?

Such bright, fun colors to work with!!

My monthly group of ladies, enjoy creating scrapbook pages….so I needed to create some of my own pages, since there was not a Workshop kit that CTMH created for this paper collection. J

(But you'll want to take note of the ADORABLE Kaleidoscope cardmaking kit they DO have available!!)

Here are the layouts I created…

Layout 1 was created from a layout design that CTMH gave us at this summer’s 2015 Convention.

I wanted to use only colors from the Kaleidoscope paper collection – so I needed to trade out some cardstock colors compared to the original CTMH layout, to make this happen.

While I do like the “original” layout & colors by CTMH, I was really excited how this layout turned out by only using the colors included in the Kaleidoscope paper collection.

As I was creating these set of layouts, I wanted to use the coordinating Kaleidoscope Complements on all three layouts, so I incorporated these fun goodies in each layout as well.

Let’s take a close-up look at some of Layout 1 details.

We did some stamping on this 1st layout, and I “copied” directly from the CTMH layout.

Check out the “flowers” we created with this stamp set, we used the leaf stamp image from the FRIEND TREE stamp set!! I LOVE to use stamp images in ways we don’t think about – and that’s how we created this flower!!

Below, the bicycle needed some glitter hearts and the dotted strip of paper is a “zip-strip” that’s an “extra goodie” included with CTMH paper collections!!

Here is layout 2….we used Pear cardstock as our base pages.

Let’s see a few close ups of this page…

The large diamond is a sticker that comes in the Complements collection. I mounted that on a scrap piece of canary cardstock & then cut a piece of white shimmer trim to give it some sparkle.

Also, note that the clear stickers were used just like they are. (check out layout 3 for another way to use the clear stickers)

I used a mixture of the 3D shapes, stickers & added white shimmer trim to give it some pop!

It’s fun to dove-tail the shimmer trim OR just cut it off on an angle!! This is ONE product that I use all the time, you can use it in so many ways!!

Layout 3 was created using Pattern 3, from our Make It From Your Heart #2 how-to- book.

As I mentioned above – this time….take note of the “clear stickers” on this layout. These "clear" flower stickers are no longer clear, but I mounted them on white daisy cardstock & then cut them out to place them as accents on the layout!!

Here is a close-up of the title of this page…

Again, I added the "fun day" sticker to a piece of scrap gypsy cardstock. and added a piece of shimmer trim behind the title.

The tie dye zig zags are a sticker, but – since I don’t like to waste anything J…I cut another set of zig zags out of the negative space & used that on the right side of this layout too!!
