It's that time of year again, our Spring Hostess Club is coming to an end, and we are starting our next go around!!  

The main reason we have a CLUB going on, is so that when you create monthly, you get memories preserved AND a FUN "extra" ...YOU can earn FREE CTMH goodies when joining this CLUB!! J

                                                                                                                                

What is a Hostess Club??  

A Hostess Club is a group of ladies that commit to order for the next 6 months so that EACH of the people involved will get a chance to BE a HOSTESS one of these months to EARN FREE Close To My Heart PRODUCTS!   Wahoo!!!

As a CLUB attendee, you will purchase $30 or more in CTMH product each month, and we will use those products to create 4-6 pages EACH month at the scrapbooking class (if you choose to attend).
OR - if you'd rather purchase other products than what we are creating with that month, that's ok too!!
 

This is a GREAT way to BUDGET your scrapbooking purchases and get a LOT of scrapbooking completed!!! No longer will your scrapbooking supplies pile up in your drawers…you will actually USE what you purchase! J

**You can purchase WHATEVER items you'd like....it doesn't have to be the kit we are using that month! J

****Even if you are not local to me…you can STILL join this club!

Swan Lake WYW kit by CTMH

Have you ever tried Close To My Heart’s

Workshop Your Way kits?

We call them WYW for short…and they are FABULOUS kits that include all the products to create (3) sets of 12x12 pages, add on Pocket Plus pages, and 8-10 cards!  Wahoo!! An amazing kit!!  

Each kit comes with a Paper Collection, extra sheets of cardstock, coordinating Complements pack, and 1-2 different types of additional embellishments.

The directions, to complete these projects, are in a downloadable format, and can be found on my shopping website as you place that particular kit in your shopping cart!

Last week, I held my monthly scrapbooking class & we used the Swan Lake WYW kit!  What beautiful pages we created!!

This class chose to only make the 3 sets of layouts from the kit…but I had a surprise for them! By changing a few of the cutting directions,and adding 4 pieces of White Daisy cardstock, we were able to create a total of 4 sets of 12x12 layouts…..8 pages!!!

Let’s take a look at the pages we created….

Layout 1

Here is a close up of the “plastic” lettering that comes in the Swan Lake complements pack.  They are so light, and are just raised a bit to give some added dimension & texture to your creation!

Layout 2

Look at these BEAUTIFUL gold foil stickers that are included in the complement pack!!! Also our NEW shimmer black RIBBON….it adds so much!

Layout 3

This is the FUN page…or at least I think so! I really like the NEW product that CTMH released in August of this year…these Pocket PLUS protectors!!

These pages are little inserts that are added in between your two pages.  Our cut apart Picture My Life (PML) cards, that are included in our paper collections, fit PERFECTLY into these pockets!!

Layout 4- the layout I created with the leftover papers & I added 4 sheets of White Daisy Cardstock

So let's take a closer look….any guesses where the gold foil outlined hearts came from??

Well, it may seem a little silly ….but I couldn’t just throw away the outline of these gold foil hearts stickers!  

Scroll back up to layout 2…see the gold hearts? I used the heart stickers on that page, but then had the "leftover" outline shape of the hearts.  They were so pretty, and were gold foil, so I used my handy-dandy, non-stick, micro tip scissors, to fussy cut out these outlines & used them on the 4th layout!

For Always Workshop on the Go

It’s so good to be back with you!  It seems like a long time since I shared a blog post, but as I look back…it was exactly 1 week! J 

I have been doing a LOT of creating, so I’m excited for the upcoming posts.  Make sure you come back and check out the latest artwork!!!

****Here are the layouts we created in class for this particular workshop…****

NOTE: Each Idea Book, 1-2 WOTG kits will involve the use of the Cricut machine using one of our FABULOUS Cricut cartridges.  I LOVE that CTMH does this…it really helps me to learn NEW & EXCITING things my Cricut machine can do!!!

The For Always WOTG kit is a kit that does use some Cricut cuts – HOWEVER – keep in mind, if you don’t have the Cricut cartridge, you can always use your scissors for some of the images OR give me a call and come use my Cricut machine OR for a small fee – I can cut and mail these pieces to you too!!!

Layout #1

The included instruction guide shows you STEP by STEP how to create the first layout.

The doily & heart are cut with Artiste Cricut Cartridge. 

We stamped BOTH sides of this piece, and then cut a bow from the Artiste Cartridge to add as a finishing touch.

How EASY these curls turned out to be!!!  Just take a few strips of paper, use our quilling tool to roll up the edges and tuck them in behind our resin flower that is included in the For Always Asst.

Layout #2

If you are creating this Workshop on your own at home…

The 2nd layout can be found at  my website by clicking on “IDEAS & INSPIRATION” and then “Workshop on the Go” you will receive directions to create this!!!!

Notice the scalloped edging…we cut this border on the Cricut and than took our rose flower stamp and used it to add to our border!!

This journaling area was actually a CARD that we cut from the Artiste cartridge!  I LOVE using Cricut shapes in ways that aren’t the “normal” way to use them! 

Layout #3

This layout is void of pictures, but you can get a idea of where pictures would be placed. 

When we create our 3rd layout at my monthly hostess club…we have the following guidelines…

*NO inking

*No stamping

*Use leftover embellishments from kit

*Use coordinating Stickease or complements

This creates a QUICK & EASY 3rd 2 page layout!!!
