Today, I chose to create this card design using this stamp set.
Let's check it out!   

I used our How-To-book ....Make It from Your Heart,vol 4, pattern #3 for this card design.  I ADORE using these very helpful idea books!

The paper collection that I used, is BRAND NEW and called "Sweet Girl"....take a look at these lovely colors! 

Let's take a look at some of the details of this card. 

There are SO MANY new Thin Cuts (metal dies) in our Seasonal Expression 2 (SE2) catalog, that was released today ...May 1st!! 

 I don't know if I have a favorite thin cut yet, but this Lace Border Thin Cut ranks near the top!! 

I "fussy cut" out the flower, from the MAY SOTM stamp set, and then colored it with our inks & watercolor brush.  Did you know??? You can put drops of reinker in the lid of the ink pad....and you have a pallet to grab color with your watercolor brush!!

If you look closely, you may see the clear shimmer on the flowers??  It's so hard to capture this with the camera!!

May is FILLED with Fabulous specials here at Close To My Heart!!  Because there is SO MUCH goodness ;)....I wanted to share a card I created using this Month's Stamp of the Month (SOTM) Live, Laugh, Love stamp set.  

Take a look!  

I adore this month's stamp set....but I was running short on time, and wanted to make a "quick" card (that means not having to color in those precious little flowers inside these letters). WATERCOLOR PAINTS to the rescue! :)  

I colored a background, dried it with my craft heater, and then used Memento black ink to stamp the "Love" letters. 

Have you noticed what NEW paper collection I used?  If you haven't checked out the NEW ITEMS that arrived on May 1st at CTMH - you'll want to check in with your CTMH consultant OR  CLICK HERE to see the brand new Seasonal Expression 2 Idea Book! :) 

Look at the BEAUTIFUL colors of the Little Dreamer paper collection....and there are so many coordinating items to go with this set! 

I knew the card needed a bit more embellishing - and that's when I decided to stamp the flower included in this stamp set onto Blossom cardstock, and the leaves were stamped on Sea Glass.  I stamped them with Whisper ink & then cut them out with my handy, dandy Micro-top scissors. 

  

The Black dots - from our White & Black enamel dots collection & some White Twine, were just what was needed for the finishing touch! :)
